Walk up the stone path, pass the pair of giant 150 year old Maple trees, pass the hydrangeas, the big white columns on the covered porch and relax in this sprawling completely restored 150 year old farm house. The home was completely rebuilt a couple of years ago from the old loose field stone foundation to the top of the gables on the roof. This is the ultimate house to kick back and relax with family both indoors and out while still enjoying plenty of privacy. Extra large concrete driveway and parking pad offer ample off street parking for all of your guests and even your boat. Located on a double lot in the middle of a small quiet block just 2 short blocks from downtown. Walk to shops, parks, restaurants, coffee shops, boat ramp, chain ferry, art galleries, Mount Baldhead and more. It's an easy bike ride to Oval Beach using the Chain Ferry to cross the Kalamazoo River.
The first floor has a living room with a wood burning stone fireplace, den/bedroom with a full size pull out sofa, large spacious dining room, full kitchen with breakfast nook, mud room / laundry room, full bath off of the kitchen for rinsing off after the beach, very large spacious deck off of the kitchen to extend summer living outdoors and a rear deck off of the mud room with an outdoor shower and gas grill.
The second floor has 2 guest bedrooms, both with Queen size beds and share a full bath. The second floor also has an amazing Master Suite with a King size bed, a full bathroom and a large adjoining living room with a full wet bar and a 400 sf screened in porch with cable tv, comfy lounge chairs and a daybed for napping or sleeping. The upstairs family room has a large down filled sofa that opens to a queen size bed and a chair that converst to a twin size bed. The second floor screened in porch also has a very confortable daybed that converts to a queen size bed for those who perfer to sleep with the sounds of nature.
The home has central air and is very well insulated so it stays very cool even during the hottest days of summer.
