Amazing, 5 Bedroom, 4 Bath, Family Estate with so much charm you will never want to leave! House is perfectly situated on a peninsula in White Sound and the Sea of Abaco. Nestled between towering palms and native mahogany and tropical flowers this home offers amazing privacy yet minutes from village with its waterfront eateries, gift shoppes, grocery stores and fish market, museum, library, churches or turn south from your waterfront winding private drive and just a short golf cart ride or walk to bustling marina life a Sea Spray complete with pool bar and full service restaurant. Main house offers split a/c units throughout and ceiling fans in every room.
There are 3 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, kitchen with breakfast bar, as well as glass enclosed more formal dining area. This area faces the Sea of Abaco and includes a nook living room area leading to an open deck to enjoy sunsets over the Sea of Abaco. Plenty of comfortable outdoor deck furniture and alfresco dining areas, hammocks throughout extensive gardens.
There is a second more elaborate living area with wet bar, overstuffed wrap-around couches, antique wicker chairs, built-in desk and library area as well as modern entertainment center. A second covered deck is accessed here for sunrises and additional alfresco dining, barbecuing and swimming in your own private freshwater pool. This first floor has two charming bedrooms and a shared bath. One guest room offers twins and the other a Queen. A sunny vestibule leads to a set of secret stairs climbing to a stunning master suite with King bed dressed in fine linens, desk area and sitting area, as well as private bath. Guests enjoy their private balcony overlooks the pool, White Sound and the Atlantic Ocean beyond.
Just when you think this home could not get any better, the owners have just completed a generous waterside and poolside Cabana. Two master suites, each boasting a king, full baths including custom designer tiles, cathedral ceilings, private entrances to the pool and steps from private dock with fish cleaning station. Carolina Wind is designed for two families and has everything to make your stay memorable and full of fun. Best Kept Secret in the Abacos

We recently had the pleasure of enjoying an awesome retreat at Carolina Wind. I have been traveling to the Abacos since 1982 and this is by far one of, if not the nicest property I have ever rented. The property is situated in a very private location sharing the tip of a pennisula with one other home. Decks on three sides allow you a 270 degree view with fantastic sunsets. The pool is beautiful and overlooks White Sound, and my guests were able to enjoy a short walk to a wonderful beach on the ocean as well as the convenience of having our boat in the backyard. The layout of the home provides a private upstairs master suite and a couple of downstairs bedrooms. However, my favorite were the two poolside bedroom suites. Elbow Cay is a peaceful island hideaway with many fine restaurants and plenty of activities to break up those wonderful afternoon naps. In addition to being a clean and well kept property it is very affordable when considering all of the amenities. The photos and listing while accurate, do not portray the true beauty of this property. I have recomended this house to several of my friends, but am truly trying to keep it close to my vest, so as not to compromise the best kept secret in the Abacos!

We just returnded from our stay at "Carolina Wind" The home is so beautiful and situated in the "best spot on Elbow Cay!" The house is professionally decorated even down to the high end linens! What we loved about the home is you could prepare dinner while the kids were entertained in the pool and watch the sunset. The dock was perfect for our rental boat and we "island hopped" Don't miss a trip to "Nippers!" The house is located near the Abaco Inn and The Sea Spray Marina where you can find some of the best pina coladas and conch! After dinner we loved to hear the band at the Sea Spray. All of the locals are so nice and told us to take the golf cart for snorkeling at Tahiti Beach. This white sand beach is amazing and the starfish are everywhere. We have already booked our trip for next year!

We had an awesome time on Elbow Cay. The house was everything we expected and more. We had 4 couples and it was most accommodating to all guest. The location is perfect for out island excursions, wether you go South to Little Harbor or head North to Nippers. The view from the pool is fantastic! We rented a boat and the dock at the house made our daily boat trips an ease for loading and unloading. I would recommend this to anyone, anytime.

Two families stayed at Carolina Wind for a week and had a wonderful time! We have been to the island many times and found this to be one of the most beautiful views yet! The guest house was perfect for the adults and the kids (teens) stayed in the main house. Having a dock for our boat was a plus! The location is very desirable situated not far from the Abaco Inn and Sea Spray and a golf cart ride to town. The best part was sitting on the deck in the evening listening to the live music from the Abaco Inn and watching the sun set over the Sea of Abaco. The house has a generator which is a must if you are staying anywhere in the islands.
Recommended for:Families with teenagers.

The house,property, views and the week were unforgettable in an excellent way. My favorite family vacation by far and this property and its surroundings were what made the trip. I will go back to Hope Town one day and stay here again for sure!

We had a group of ten stay the first week of August 2009. We throughly enjoyed the accomodations as well as the amenities on the island. I would recommend this home to anyone who is looking for a relaxing plan as you go vacation with all of the comforts of home. We'll be back

We spent a glorious Easter week 2009 at Carolina Wind. There were nine people in our party, 4 adults and 5 children ages 6-12. The location was fabulous, far enough away from the hustle & bustle of Hopetown yet close enough to go shopping & out to dinner after a short golf cart ride. The new guest quarters are beautiful. The main house was roomy and the kitchen was fairly well stocked. We enjoyed having our boat docked right at the house and the pool was great entertainment for the children. The views are fabulous and the property is very private. We look forward to returning to Carolina Wind again and have already recommended it to several friends!
