Rustic "Little Red" cabin is tucked on the side of the hill in the woods, facing west on beautiful Potato Lake. Little Red can be quiet and peaceful, or exciting and busy. There's fishing, swimming, or just relaxing on the dock with a book.
Potato Lake is one of the best Muskie lakes around, which means there are plenty of pan fish to feed them. Potato Lake is over 500 acres, with 5 resorts if you need to rent a boat, or buy bait, or you just want to mingle with the other folks around.
Chetek is the nearest town, 12 miles west, off of Hwy 53, complete with groceries, a bakery, liquor stores, cafe, coffee shop, great restaurants, a department and hardware stores. There is a drive-in for ice cream if you need a reward after a long, hot day of fishing and fun.
At night when the dinner dishes are done, watch the sun go down over the lake, then enjoy the fire pit with roasted marshmallows, and a star-filled sky. If you bring a guitar and sing a little, the neighbors might join you. The lake community is one of the best! If canoing is your thing, the lake is like glass at night, and the moon at it's best!
