My husband and I stayed at this wonderful home for 8 nights in April for a delayed honeymoon. The decor, space, size, VIEW, and feel of the unit was instantly welcoming. We loved the new modern kitchen, the cozy sofa and most of all LOVED the wonderful lanai! The high table was a perfect touch for watching the sunset, the turtles and the whales all uninterrupted. We made good use of the pool and BBQ and loved having our very own beach. The beach, pool, grounds, and unit exceeded.Thank you for sharing your home with us!

I've spent countless hours researching the best place to stay on Maui. This is it! The pictures actually do not reflect the perfection of this condo. When you walk in and see your view you'll think you are simply looking at a postcard - or the next best thing to heaven. We just came back from our 4th visit here and, to be quite honest, it has become our second home - or at least that's how we feel when we are here. The bed and linens are so comfortable - we found ourselves sleeping far too long, but the sound of the waves and the quiet comfort allowed for the most peaceful rest I've had in a long time. Can't wait to return. That should tell you something... if it wasn't absolutely perfect, we would stay somewhere else! You might not think this is important - heck, maybe it isn't to you... but having an end unit is special because you have windows on the side which allow you to be lulled to sleep by the waves AND, there isn't anyone walking past your condo sneaking a peek in your window (yep, I admit it, I do that) so you have much more privacy, and there is no noise - which is possible if you have people on both sides of you. To be honest, I've never heard any neighbor noise. I have also never smelled smokers - but the BBQ grills on the lawn sure make it nice if you want to cook and eat ocean front! The owner is very easy to work with. The on-site manager, Larry, is great. Having a private beach is unusual and wonderful. You can snorkle or surf without getting in your car. Convenient to everything, yet far enough removed from the more touristy area that you don't feel so crowded. Love the in-unit washer and dryer - allows you to pack very light and save money on baggage fees (we stayed 24 days and had all our clothes in one 24 inch duffle bag carry on - space saver bags are the trick). Enjoy this condo and keep it nice for us. :o)

The most amazing vacation of our lives

We could not have asked for a better place to stay on our honeymoon. The unit is beautiful, quiet, clean, comfortable, and has the most incredible view. The amenities are excellent - wonderful pool, spa, the beach is but steps away. There is an amazing farmers market and fish market within walking distance that we utilized throughout our stay - still the best crab cakes we've ever had. Downtown Lahaina (Front Street) is a short drive away. We are already planning our trip back, and plan on staying in the condo again and again for years to come. Thank you, Sandy!

There are not enough words to express how much we loved this condo and the Hale Mahina complex. Yes, they were painting while we were there (could not use the lanai for nearly 3 days) but that did not take away very much from our stay here. We spent lots of time on the beach and in the Jacuzzi on the property and never once smelled smoke, encountered Larry the manager being rude, heard any traffic noise or any other negative aspects. We enjoyed sitting in the Jacuzzi talking with the parents of the children that were enjoying the pool. When at this beautiful condo we felt like we were all alone in the world enjoying this breathtaking view. Staying at the resorts cannot compare to staying at Sandy’s beautiful Maui home. The “rules” so to speak are just common courtesies that you would display at anyone’s home and were not a problem at all for us. We took our shoes off before entering and walking on the beautiful wood floors; we swept & vacuumed and washed the towels and cleaned up like we would at home. Sandy was great answering all of my questions and concerns before and during our stay. We also received our deposit back just as promised. Tip: We found shopping at the Times grocery store was about half of the price of Safeway. If you want the following….then this is the place for you….beautiful condo, gorgeous grounds, breathtaking views, beachfront & close to shopping, beaches and sightseeing then this is the spot for you during your stay in Maui!

This particular unit has been renovated and is just beautiful! The thing that really took away from our experience was the construction work on the building lasting all day... It's not ideal being woken up by a power sander every morning on your vacation.

Thank you Sandy for letting us use your beautiful condo in Honokowai. The location was perfect. It was close enough to everything we wanted to do, but private enough to feel like we really got away from the crowds. My husband walked in to the condo, saw the beautiful view of the water, heard the waves crashing...and turned to me and said, "You done good, Girl." He doesn't impress easily, but he was impressed within the first five minutes of settling in to the unit. The bed was absolutely the most comfortable bed we have ever slept in. The couch on the deck was my little slice of heaven. What else can I say....perfect!! Thank you again.... Linda and Shawn

What a fantastic place to stay for a relaxing Hawaiian vacation! The condo is absolutely stunning and spending each morning out on the lanai drinking coffee and listening to/watching the waves is such a wonderful way to start the day. Same at night....nothing like listening to the crashing waves while you lay your head down to fall asleep. We didn't see any actual turtles while we were there, although you could see their heads pop up on the water from time to time, but that was completely OK. The beach and pool were very quiet and private. It had been 11 years since my husband and I took a "real" vacation and this one did not disappoint. We have been back for over a week now, and continue to talk about our next trip, which will hopefully be next year. Thank you, Sandy, for sharing your lovely home with us!

We came to Maui on our honeymoon and as soon as we unlocked the door the condo was unbelievable, the view incredible everything was more than we expected! We watched beautiful sunsets & two rainbows all right from our lanai, rented snorkel gear and went swimming with huge sea turtles at our beach which we will never forget! This is our third visit and I couldn't be happier. Interesting review that mentioned smokers... I HATE smelling smoke and in the more than 50 days we have enjoyed this condo, it has never been a problem. This condo is perfect for us - and I'm pretty picky. Don't stay here if you enjoy large resorts with lots of people; you don't want your own private beach; having everything you need to feel at home at your fingertips; you don't like to hear the waves constantly; you don't want privacy; a direct view of the ocean doesn't impress you and you have seen too many turtles and whales to get excited; huge TV's in the bedroom and living room; the perfect place to enjoy sunset; eating ocean-front without the wait doesn't matter... I want those things and this condo provides it all. Thanks Sandy for sharing your perfect paradise.

This is an exceptional rental condo - more like a 5 star hotel without the room service. We had 10 wonderful days around Christmas and New Year and would love to make this a tradition. The patio is like an extra room - the views better than any postcard. This is a Paradise and we feel so blessed to have discovered this beautiful place!

Quiet Luxury . . . Escape the Hotel Crowd

Found this sneaky fabulous property on VRBO and, not having used them before, were not sure what to expect since pictures hide and highlight what owners want to be seen. Upon arrival, we were amazed. The owner(s) describe it exactly as delivered. Beachfront, 3rd floor, end unit, Molokai on the horizon, sunsets available, village store within a few 100 yds on, frankly, the best part of the island. Beautifully appointed, this is a great place to relax (we were hit with the Island's worst rainstorm (12/9/10) in several decades). Our only glitch was the living room TV (it was Heisman week, we're from Oregon) and used the bedroom TV without issue. Frankly, that was the only time we used it. Property is immaculate and offers lawn chairs, small pool, spa and BBQs. We're big on getting out and this was a great jumping off spot - North beach, Kehei, Makena (Big beach), Haleakala crater. And EVERY restaurant we went to, whether high-end hotel or man-on-the-street food, both the service and meals were wonderful - Kehei Cafe, Star Noodle & Pioneer Inn (Lahina), Hali'imaile General Store (on way to/from Haleakala crater) and Plantation House Restaurant on the Plantation course at Kapalua. Hey, even the local Safeway has decent and affordable sushi. Finally, recommend Snorkel Bob's, down the road, for snorkeling gear (cheap, but good) and a trip to Black Beach in front of the Sheraton in Kahnapalii, if you're into that. We spent much of the morning before departing doing the required clean-up and were rewarded with a full refund of our deposit, so all's good on their word if you keep your end of the bargain. It's a month since we left and my suitcase is still packed, just in case! Bottomline, you want a nice one bedroom, comfortable, well appointed space, in a great location and close to everything (except Hana) on the island, this is your spot! Yes, we have already recommended this property to many people, will continue to do so and look forward to returning.

Home Away From Home--Only Better!

We spent a week here for our honeymoon in Nov/Dec 2010 and it was better than we ever imagined! The location is wonderful; we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the beach in front of the condo -- perfect for nightly sunset swims! And we were within close driving distance to everything we wanted to do. The condo itself was spectacular -- beautiful, comfortable, and thoughtfully decorated. The daybed on the lanai was worth the stay alone! Overall, our stay was amazing, and we definitely plan to visit again. There were only two negatives for me, but take them with a grain of salt, as neither of these things would affect my decision to return to this condo: This condo is spectacular; clearly no expense was spared, and I have no doubt that it is a challenge for the owner to keep everything as sparkling and clean as she'd like it. To that end, you are presented with quite a few rules when you enter the condo. None of the rules are unreasonable, but there are several, more than any other vrbo property I've ever rented. And if you're like me, when faced with a page and a half of rules, you feel a little compelled to constantly clean. The "keep sand outside" rule was a particular challenge, as Maui is an island, the condo is ocean front, and most of our activities involved water and sand. Again, this wouldn't discourage me from returning, and I can understand the owner's desire to keep this beautiful condo immaculate, but I don't necessarily enjoy feeling the need to clean all the time while on vacation. Lastly, it seemed the picnic area in front of the condo was where all the smokers in the complex congregated every day/all day, and we could smell the smoke from the lanai and from the living room. This may have just been a particular group that visited while we were there, but it was a bit of a bummer to be inhaling someone else's smoke while trying to enjoy the fresh air and scenery from the lanai. Like I said, we definitely plan to go back, and hopefully the smokers will be gone when we do. Wonderful, wonderful place!

My wife and I celebrated her special birthday here. 8 days in paradise. Amazing views off the lanai...Molokai, Lana'i, sunsets, moonsets, rainbows, turtles, passing cruise ships...Sandy's Beach Pad has it all. Our first time in a luxurious condo on the beach. We were not disappointed. Furnishings are all top notch. We really didn't want to leave.

My husband and I absolutely loved our stay here! The view off the lanai was amazing - a picture perfect backdrop for breakfasts and lunches. We couldn't have asked for a better location either! We were close to everything we wanted to see and explore but could easily escape to the romantic hideaway at Hale Mahina. The best part for us was venturing out to snorkel one afternoon and happening upon sea turtles! The pool and grounds are very well maintained, the condo itself is absolutely luxurious (especially the bed linens), and we would recommend it to couples seeking a romantic escape. Mahalo for a wonderful time - it was easy to call this place "home" while we were here and we look forward to returning for an anniversary :)

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon and we could not have been happier. The moment we walked in the door we were blown away! The furnishings and decor were really nice but the view from the lanai was absolutely beautiful! The condo had everything we needed and we spent a lot of time relaxing on the beach, near the pool and on the lanai. We would love to stay here again the next time we vacation in Maui!

The condo was beautiful from the highly polished dark wood floors to the slate bathroom and the well appointed up-scale kitchen, but nothing could compare to the view from the lanai. We spent most of our time on the lanai, lounging on the day-bed, listening the the ocean and looking at the view of Molokai. It was one of the most relaxing vacations we ever had - just what the doctor ordered. We're excited we found such a beautiful spot and can't wait to go back.

Well, I did all the research, checked all of the reviews, and got really excited to stay in Sandy's luxury condo. We opened the door, walked down the beautiful wood-floored hallway, past the bedroom with the raw silk covered king bed, walked past the bathroom with the stone flooring and glass shower, and into the living room. The view was breathtaking! We were drawn straight out to the lanai, with the daybed overlooking the grass, sandy beach, ocean, and view of Molokai. We had planned on doing some site-seeing in the area but we just couldn't pull ourselves away! So stock up on the Mai-Tai fixings and breakfast, lunch, and dinner supplies, because unless you are crazy in the head, you won't want to leave! Sand is an efficient, honest, and kind businesswoman to work with. Please, just leave us a week in the summer to return.

We had a great time staying at this condo. Everything is close by (grocery stores, snorkel beaches and gear rentals, farmer's market) and the full kitchen / beach grill area make eating a lot cheaper while you're on vacation. The views from the lanai were awesome. Larry really keeps the property well manicured and the ambiance of the whole complex was very relaxing. I would choose to stay here again next time.

My husband & I stayed in this condo for 7 days to celebrate our 30th anniversary, We had spent the previous week in Oahu in hotels. From the second we walked in, it was perfect! A total change from Oahu. We immediately felt like it was "our place". I am pretty choosy when it comes to staying away from home. But It was impeccably decorated & furnished and we absolutely loved everything about it, including the breathtaking views from the lanai, the private beach area, the beautiful walk-in shower, & the fully stocked kitchen! We would recommend it to anyone wanting a getaway that could be private & romantic or to meet people & sightsee! We will definitely be returning to this paradise.

If you put all the comments on this site together and multiply by ten there's yet more to say about the beauty of this condo and its unrivaled beach setting. We've made this our Maui vacation home year-after-year, and each time we find it harder to leave. The condo exceeds every expectation. It's in the Hale Mahina resort, a gem of and by itself. And within Hale Mahina, B-306 is the crown jewel, with its beautifully remodeled interior, wonderful decor and terrific amenities (two large flat-screen TVs, wifi, king-size bed, and beautiful furnishings throughout), all leading to an oceanfront lanai with a wrap-around view of Lanai, Molokai and the Pacific. All with the beach steps away and all of Maui out the front door!

Sometimes one finds a place so wonderful that you really don't want to tell others just to make sure it's available when you want to stay...but that's not playing fair! We stayed at this beautiful condo in January 2009 and 2010 and if you note the calendar you'll see we have already booked for January 2011! Yeah baby, already on a count down until our next visit. Believe everything you read about this condo - nothing is overstated, the pictures don't do it justice - it really is perfect. You could find something that cost more but that doesn't mean it's better. If you don't like privacy, serenity, your own beach with few others around - find something else... The fact that we keep returning--and adding days each time is an indicator that this is a very special place. I've stayed at several places so I'm not just captivated by the perfection of this little corner of paradise. Someone said the view was surreal - thanks for helping me find the words - every time I went on the lanai I would think "This view is like a postcard." It is unbelieveable! Sandy is wonderful to work with - we've never met but I feel like she is quickly becoming our friend.

We stayed here in January 2010. It was a perfect place stay. The condo was fantastic! Everything was clean and comfortable. The pictures did not do it justice. We absolutely hated to leave. We won't stay anywhere else the next time we visit Maui.

I spent nearly a week looking at various accommodations in Maui and seemed to come back to this condo based on the great reviews. After spending 7 nights in this wonderful condo, I must say that the pictures do not do this place justice. I often hear folks make that statement, but you could truly sit on the lanai and never leave this place. Plan on spending some time around the condo, with the pool, hot tub and grills right in front of the condo. In closing, I must say thanks for allowing me to spend my honeymoon in your second home and for making me a hero with my new wife for selecting such a magnificent place to stay. Kyle Houston, Texas

Fantastic! This condo is absolutely amazing. Prettier than the pictures and set up with everything you need so that you feel at home as soon as you walk in. My husband and I stayed for 10 days and we felt like we were in paradise the whole time. The condo is beautifully decorated, the view is gorgeous from the lanai, and the private beach is perfect. The pool and barbecue area was always quiet and never too busy. It's like you have your own private Hawaiian resort. Much better than any hotel. We can't recommend this place highly enough--we will definitely be back!

We loved this condo!!! Surpassed my expectations as soon as we walked in the door and saw the view. The pictures can't do it justice because of how amazing it was in person. We stayed here for 9 days on our honeymoon and plan on going back (really didn't want to leave). Everything was upgraded to the max, everything we could have needed was there and more. Bed was very comfortable, bathroom was wonderful and the view was the best part! We also loved the location, not overcrowded like the big hotels. But only about a 5 minute drive to the food and shops at Kaanapali or Lahaina. Would recommend this to anyone!!

This condo is fantastic, even better than the pictures show. It was hard to leave during the day to sight-see. We recommend this place for anyone looking for a quiet, relaxing vacation. P.S. the view from the lanai is surreal

"After a week spent in heaven it was truly hard to leave this place. The condo is beautifully decorated and comes stocked with every amenity that a person could possibly need or want. My husband and I (we got engaged on this trip:) visited both Kauai and Maui on our vacation but we far preferred Sandy's maui pad to our Kauai experience. Although Kauai was nice too, it is hard to find a condo right on the beach that is so well kept and just plain amazing for the price. I sat on the lanai in my pj's every morning enjoying the view and sounds of the ocean. This is a quiet neighbourhood that is close to all shopping, golf and other beach activities. We will be going back, and sooner than later if I can help it!"

My wife and I looked all over Maui for a perfect place for us to stay on our honeymoon. We loved EVERYTHING about the place. This condo had everything you could want and more. The view from the lanai was outstanding! The condo is located in a wonderful spot to enjoy a peaceful stay, yet close by car to all great activities the island has to offer. If you don't rent this condo you will be missing out. The owners were very nice to work with and we felt very at home. When we return we will not even look around for other places to stay.

We adored our 5 day stay at this beautiful home. My favorite part was the outstanding views from the deck where we watched beautiful sunsets. We saw sea turtles just off of the swimming beach. The condo is beautifully furnished and very comfortable. We enjoyed the private pool and hot tub as well as the beach access. Good location with easy access to dining,golf,and shopping. We loved our stay and would like to return.

Quit looking for the perfect condo and call NOW because this is IT! I've rented several condos in Hawaii and this is my favorite. I'm REALLY selective and this condo exceeded my expectations. We stayed in this beautiful condo for two weeks in January, 2009. The pictures really don't do it justice - it truly is perfect in every way. The furniture is comfortable and just perfect for relaxing. We had everything we needed - great king size bed; nice linens; beautiful spa bath; huge flat screen TVs in both bedroom and living room (which is great because sometimes you really do need to have some space away from each other - even on your honeymoon); directly ocean front (loved watching the whales) and you can hear the ocean from every room. The daybed on the Lanai was great for sunbathing and relaxing - nice that two people could cuddle on the lanai. The grounds are well-maintained and having your own private beach is something you won't find in most condos. This condo is also perfect because it is an end unit so no one is walking by your condo to get to theirs - that's a plus you only realize when you have stayed in other condos where people are sneaking a peek into your little spot in paradise. What more can I say? HURRY UP and book it - you won't be sorry. On my last day I sent Sandy this message... "We have enjoyed your space in paradise so much that we have decided not to move out. Send the police if you wish - nothing is prying us out of your condo! I told my husband it's a good thing I know someone is coming in tomorrow because otherwise I'm sure I could convince myself that I HAVE to stay at least one more week. Alas, "squatting" is probably illegal (if not immoral or unethical) plus work and family calls us back to Nebraska so, sadly, we do have to leave.!"

I highly recommend spending some time at this wonderful vacation rental. It is very well designed and decorated, and you can't beat the unobstructed view of the ocean! The pool and ocean are right below the balcony and I spent a number of nights lounging outside enjoying the location. Centrally located to all the great places in Maui as well.

We've stayed in Sandy's condo three-years running now, always from mid-January through mid- February. It's a one-bedroom, one-bathroom condo, totally remodeled with lovely finishes and fixtures. Each room, including the oversized bathroom, is spacious. Best, the lanai has a wraparound view. The beach is right in front of Hale Mahina, separated only by a pretty lawn with barbeques,lawn chairs and a pool with hot tub. The condo itself is beautifully furnished with everything you could wish for, including huge widescreen tv's in the bedroom and living room.
