Welcome to one of the most luxurious condos on Beech Mountain.
Nestled at the end of Elderberry Ridge Rd is the upscale community of Southcrest Overlook. Less than 1/2 mile from downtown Beech Mountain, this paved, private, safe and secluded neighborhood has undeniably one of the best views on the mountain.
You'll notice the jaw dropping views of Grandfather and Sugar Mountains as soon as you pull up to the building. Oriented to the South, the condo has a year round 140 degree long-range, multi-layered mountain views all the way from Blowing Rock on your left to Roan Mtn, TN on your right.
You'll walk in the door and notice kitchen is fully appointed with new stainless KitchenAid appliances. There are new counter-top appliances, unique dishware & flatware, glassware, and all the bake ware, cookware, and serving pieces you'd ever need. Everything is new and sparkling clean.
The living room commands a view of the mountains but also has 32" flat panel HDTV with Wii. Netflix online is provided for movie watching. Designer furniture, draperies and accessories and a gas log fireplace complete the room.
The condo sleeps up to 4 in beds (1 king, 2 twin beds). All have feather bed toppers and down pillows and comforters. Both bedrooms have 26" wall mounted flat panel HDTVs and Bose CD/radios. All bedding is high thread-count. Master has ceiling fan, reading nook, large windows to enjoy the fabulous views and take in the stars at night.
Other amenities include: private porch deck with rockers, new front loading Whirlpool Duet washer & dryer, multi-zone surround sound stereo/cd player. Plenty of windows to enjoy the cool mountaintop breeze and unbelievable views.
Bed linens are provided for each bed. Two sets of bath linens provided for each person. Basics such as paper towels, toilet paper, dish cloths, aluminum foil, detergent, cleaners, vacuum, iron, garbage bags, etc as well as some refrigerator condiments are provided.
In the spring, summer and fall, enjoy over 10 hiking trails on the mountain, area waterfalls, and trout fishing in many lakes and streams around. Several of the High Country's best golf courses are just minutes away. Many folks also enjoy white water rafting and kayaking as well as the new Zip-line adventures. Local attractions include Tweetsie Railroad theme park, Grandfather Mountain, downtown Boone & Blowing Rock, Linville Falls & Caverns, Mast General Store, Banner Elk Winery, etc.
In the ski season, you can walk 1/2 mile to the Ski Beech slopes (Lower Shawneehaw run) or drive less than 3 miles to the entrance of the resort. Or go the other direction to Sugar Mountain ski resort, a 10 minute drive door to door. Hawksnest snow tubing is approx 15 minutes away. You can see slopes of all three resorts from the condo. We are definitely in the heart of NC ski country.
And anytime of the year, walk 1/2 mile to downtown Beech Mountain, Fred's General Mercantile, Brick Oven Pizza & Vasarely's restaurants, etc. And it's a 3 mile drive to downtown Banner Elk for some of the best dining, shopping, and cultural activities in the High Country.

Owner's Map of Beech Mountain
Hello there. I simply LOVE Beech Mountain. I've had this condo in Southcrest for 4+ years now and couldn't imagine living anywhere else on the mountain. I'm self employed so I spent a lot of time there....pretty much every day the condo isn't rented. This condo is more of a home than a rental property to me...and so I treat it that way. You'll be able to tell this the moment you step in. It's so far beyond other rentals in this price range. Thanks for your interest in the place and I hope to meet you soon. All the best! Trey

Dear Trey, How can we thank you? We can't! But we want you to know how special this (out of 20+ years in the Highlands) has been because of your beautiful condo. We love it and hope to be able to spend time here again.

This was a beautiful and comfortable condo. We had a wonderful time. The views cannot be matched and it comes equipped with everything needed for a comfortable and warm mountain gettaway. Tres is a wonderful host and has the enthusiasm of a chamber of commerce member. We loved our stay.

WOW! My family of 4 visited NC to ski for the first time. This property was phenomenal! It had everything and then some; the attention to detail was incredible. I have never felt so at home and so comfortable in a vacation rental as I did here. Comfortable beds, down comforters and pillows (with extra pillows and blankets in the closets), featherbeds, high quality kitchen items, luxury throws and pillows, plush towels, sleds for the kids, a great selection of DVD's to choose movies to watch at night, xbox with games, ... I could go on and on. And the location was great with a breathtaking view! I would highly recommend this property to anyone. My family and I look forward to returning next year. Thank you Trey!

My husband and I have stayed at this property several times and leave each time even more in love with it and the area. It's definitely a treat nestled on the side of a mountain. The furnishings are divine and I've never had a better night's sleep! This property is truly a rare find in the N.C. mountains.
