The best beach house ever!
The best beach house ever!

Nothing thrills me more than excellence in any area and in this case, I found excellence in every area. The owner is efficient and friendly - a pleasure to deal with in every way. The house itself was immaculately clean and so appealing. The decor is tasteful and well-done and we especially enjoyed the artwork by the owner herself. The kitchen is as well-stocked as my own and there was nothing we needed it didn't offer including a separate ice machine (brilliant!). There were movies, games, puzzles, TV's in every bedroom and best of all, beach chairs for our use. Vicki has thought of everything including fluffy towels and soft, smooth sheets. Everything is luxurious and well-chosen. The layout of the house is perfect - one big living, dining and kitchen area where we could all be together. The house is a short walk to the beach and neither it nor the pools were ever crowded. The streets have bike paths and are perfect for an early morning walk. Vicki thoughtfully provided key codes for the front door, the pool gates and wireless passwords before we even asked. She also sent recommendations for restaurants which we found to be spot on. The neighborhood is so picturesque with tree-lined streets, pastel homes and gorgeous landscaping (you must smell the Confederate Jasmine in bloom). Very quiet, too, yet in the middle of everything. We enjoyed the nearby lake, Seaside, and made the short drive to Destin to the outlets (what shopping deals!). Our party consisted of three college freshmen and two adults. We were all impressed with the house and all the space it offered including multiple porches - particularly the third floor which feels very private and offers a great get-away and deck for a quiet drink. I feel like I should think of something that needed improvement but truly there was nothing. The entire experience has been amazing. This is the best house we've ever rented and we've been renting beach houses for over 25 years. Well done, Five SeaSons!Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

Overall, from the very beginning of booking my vacation week to closing the door to head back home, my experience with the owner and property was as perfect as I could have hoped. Everything was explained thoroughly including details on great restaurants and places to visit. Upon our arrival, the house was absolutely beautiful & clean and in a wonderful location (right at the end of the street with lots of privacy). The deck provided a wonderful area to enjoy early morning coffee and late afternoon sunbathing with the girls. Everyone had plenty of space to get away from the group including their own closet areas to store luggage/etc. The downstairs area (kitchen, living, and dining) was perfect with lots of space to cook, eat, and lounge. Our walks to the beach were quick and easy especially with the help of a wagon provided by the house. The neighborhood was the perfect mix of young children and families along with early adult and middle adult aged which brought life to the area. We all felt part of the community and hope to enjoy another vacation at this house because of the perfect location, space, and peace of the home. If anything was wrong or I felt the need to contact the owner, she was always available and responsive!Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, girls getaway.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at 5 Seasons. There was plenty of room for our 3 grown boys, a future daughter in law as well as a sister in law. The beach was a short walk and the owners have plenty of chairs, umbrellas and a cool wagon to pull all to the beach. We would stay here again. ThanksRecommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers.

We had a great time staying that this beautiful home. Everything was great and we had plenty of room to spread out. My kids loved the quiet street in front of the house so they could ride their skateboards, scooters and bikes without much traffic at all. The walk to the pool and beach was very easy and we biked into Seaside nearly everyday. It's about a 2 mile ride and all my kids loved it.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, age 55+.

The house was everything we expected and then some! It was very clean and ready for us to move right on in. The house is wonderfully decorated without being 'fussy' and there is plenty of space for a group to spread out and relax. We loved the artwork in the house---much of which was done by the homeowner. There are wonderful personal touches throughout and it is clear that this house is loved. It is a quick walk to the beach and very accessible to the trail and 30A. The homeowner was very attentive and easy to work with and quick to respond to any of our questions. The house is great for all ages and everyone around the neighborhood was equally polite and friendly. We did not want to leave. On our last night, we had a candlelit dinner and one of our girls commented "...This looks like a picture out of Southern Living...". Do yourself and your friends a favor and go for a week or two. Our group came away with a host of memories that will last a lifetime. We didn't even bother to turn on the TV. Also check out a new place in Seagrove on 30A called "Whiskey Bravo" while you are there. Good food, prices and atmosphere.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, tourists without a car, people with disabilities, girls getaway.

We stayed at the Five Seasons for spring break this year. We had four adults and four children and had more than enough room for everyone to sleep. The main living area is gorgeous yet we felt right at home as soon as we walked in. The kitchen is very well equipped and we cooked dinner almost every night. The little ones loved the bunk room and the rest of the bedrooms were all comfortable and tasteful. We loved that there was so much space, between the 3rd floor den and three porches, we never felt on top of each other. The walk to the beach took about five minutes or less with no major streets to cross and the wagon provided really helped. I also appreciated that there were several chairs and umbrellas available for use. Our favorite part was the location of the home at the end of the street, our kids played right in front of the house every afternoon and we did not worry about traffic. Vicki was wonderful in helping plan our vacation, I am so glad we chose the FiveSeasons and will definitely be back!Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway.

your home was beautiful and very suitable for my family. the walk to the pool was very easy. the beach was wonderful. thanks for the umbrellas and chairs. some nights we stayed on the beach until 9:00, then would go to the pool before returning home. some days we stayed at the house to read, watch television, or visit with each other. we really appreciated your being available for our incidental questions and concerns.Recommended for: Families with young children, tourists without a car, girls getaway.

We really enjoyed our week at the beach and your home was wonderful. The kids (which are 13 and 15) absolutely loved it as well. We all had plenty of room to spread out! We spent a lot of time on the third floor balcony area. It was a nice place to relax. The walk to the beach was not very far and the pools were very nice as well. The kids had bikes and they were able to ride up and down 30A to meet up with friends. One of their favorite treats was the milkshakes and smoothies from Tom Thumb! You have to try them! We would definitely recommend your home to others!Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, girls getaway.
Owner response: Kim, thanks so much for taking the time to respond. Have a great Easter! Vicki

Owner info
Year Purchased: 2004
About the owner: Growing up in New Orleans, my husband and I always vacationed a few hours away on the Florida panhandle. We love the area along CR30A and built our vacation home in 2004 so that we could continue our family traditions. We have five sons and hence named our home 'The Five SeaSons.'
Why the Owner Chose Summer's Edge:
There is no better beach along the Emerald Coast than Seagrove Beach. It is seldom crowded and always well maintained. Our neighborhood of Summer's Edge is small, yet has a true community feel.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Our home features 3 large covered porches which are perfect for reading, dining, or just relaxing. The mature landscaping in the yard provides privacy from the street as well as a pleasant spot to rest your eyes. The 2 window seats in the family room make for a cozy areas to curl up with a good book or to share time with little ones. There are many comfortable places to relax in our home.
