Ellie's Dream, formerly known as the "Wilde's Home", has been a great vacation destination for over 20 yrs. bringing family and friends together. Master Bedroom has a private bath. Guest bath in the hall. Two cable TV's are provided (no fighting over the remote!) VERY DISAPPOINTING! The "views" of the ocean on this site are not what is at the house. I'm 5'6 small views standing only through the grasses and zero views sitting. We choose this house because of the views even though we knew it was older. The condition of the house, furnishings, blankets, is fair-poor, dirty stained carpeting, walls/rooms that need painting, stained ceilings- Not at all what we are used to when renting a home on Hatteras Island. I've asked the owner to please update her photos as not to miss lead other families. I thought I had found a bargin dealing directly with an owner - nope - totally duped!! I have taken photos and happy to share.

Thanks so much for letting us use your vacation place this year. Words cannot express how much we enjoyed our stay and what a wonderful place that you have, Rusty and I felt like we were home. Great location and not too far from any shopping or other activities. The people at the Frisco Tackle were very nice and helped me out a lot with fishing tackle and pointers. Thanks Barbara and Gary for being so nice and easy to work with even if Gary can't understand my Southern accent...LOL.. We hope to book again with you in the near future, next year. Rusty and Jodean

We were there in may 2007 and will be there again in may '08...we had a great time...nice house right on the beach...close to everything...owners are great to work with....A++
