My husband and I wanted to find a place close to everything but far enough away from it all as well. This little house is PERFECT for a romantic weekend getaway and is just so peaceful and perfect. We do recommend that if you plan on heading up here, you MUST stop by the little coffee shop up the road. The coffee is amazing and the people are wonderful. We will DEF be back. Thank you for a nothing-less-then-perfect weekend!
Owner response:We are so happy that you enjoyed your stay and look forward to seeing you again.

We went to celebrate our anniversay. The cottage is very cute and clean. Loved just watching the boats, tides, birds, etc from the deck. We hiked Sonoma State Beach and drove over to Hogs Island for oysters (which we brought back and bbq'd). We to be back for crab season. It was a great little place to stay. Thanks!

My husband just rented this place for the two of us for this weekend. We had the greatest time! I was pleasantly surprised and it was the cutest place w/everything you need. It is small but it's perfect! You have everything you need for the perfect romantic getaway and all the space is put to good use. Everything was extremely clean and well kept. The decor was great and you could tell whomever cares for this place really does care. It had all the perfect touches! My husband and I WILL definately be back and I swear it can't be soon enough!! Thank you Kelly for your warm and down-to-earth personality. And to the people in the reviews before us that said the place and carpet was dirty...you're crazy because everything was spotless and perfect!! When you're in town make sure to have coffee at The Coffee Cove down the street...it's the perfect cup of coffee for the perfect drive along the beach!! Can't wait to see you again soon!!!!

We arrived in town after a 3 hour drive at night to find that no lights were left on for us and no key was under the mat per the request made a few days prior because of the time we were arriving. I called the number and left a message, and drove back into town and got a hotel for the night. Viewing this house at night does not do it justice... I received a call at 7A.M the next morning with an apology and was asked to come back free of charge due to the mix up in communication. The 2 different ladies that I dealt with on the phone for this property were always very sweet, and overall I did not have any problems with the company itself. MY boyfriend and I ended up going back to the property and looked under the mat and found the keys and we made home for the night.. Bodega Head is 5 minutes away as town is about 2 minutes away. The house is very well decorated and very comfortable and the view is breath taking. I will be back sooner than later to stay at this ocean retreat again. It truly is a nice place to relax and BBQ and sip some drink while listening to the harbor whistles, and offers a perfect view of the sunset.

I stay here every year for our annual family trip / crabbing. I absolutely LOVE it, and its cozy, clean, with a view of the water. I haven't used the bbq - but it's within walking distance to where my family camps (Porto Bodega) and some of my other family members rent the house next door. It's always an amazing, relaxing trip to Bodega Bay... will be there in a few weeks!!! Can't wait.

My partner and I brought our 5 month old daughter with us to Bodega Bay. This house was perfect for us! We went out during the day sight seeing and came back to this charming little place and relaxed in the evenings. It was near everything, beach, restaurants, especially Bodega Head where the Gray Whales were (5min drive) It was definately a home away from home for us. There's a little shop up the street that has DVD rentals for a quiet night at 'home'. BBQ works great!! We will be back again soon!!!!

My husband & I spent a week to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. The cottage was so clean, the kitchen well stocked. The owner was so friendly and helpful. The gas grill was broken and the owner had it fixed right away!!! We enjoyed whale watching , sight seeing up & down the beautiful coast. The beaches at Bodega Bay were great. I would definitely recommend this cottage and hope to come back really soon.Close to the wine country. There was lots to see and do. Bodega Bay is beautiful and we didn't want to leave.

This little cottage was very much a "Great Value" and "Treasure" find in Bodega Bay. Truly enjoyed my stay here and intend to return. I have rented many properties in Bodega & found your home very clean, well cared for & all for a fantastic price! Great place for a getaway or girls retreat. Only drawback I could comment on is all of the rebuilding going on around the port, but this shouldn't be a problem once the port/dock is cleared of all building materials and finished. I definitely would recommend this home to friends and I plan to rent it again soon. Thank you again for a relaxing & wonderful retreat.

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights and had a great time. This private little cottage had everything we needed and was a great price. Yes, the carpet could be newer, but the fact that it isn't brand new is reflected in the price. The linens and towels were perfectly clean, which is far more important. We brought slippers, so we weren't bothered by spots in the carpet. I actually thought it was really neat and tidy. We had a great time and would recommend it to other travelers looking for a place to stay near the water in Bodega Bay.

I stayed here on a couple's retreat. I was thoroughly pleased with every aspect of this little getaway. My boyfriend and I went with another couple and the house was clean and comfortable. I slept on the aerobed which was a tight squeeze but practical. The view was amazing...maybe 100 feet to the bay. The kitchen was well stocked with the essential baking needs but bring anything with you that may be needed for baking. But everything was amazing and made for a nice, relaxing trip. I will definitely be back for more of what they have to offer.

My husband and I stayed here in Sept. 08 for our Anniversary. We were very comfortable and enjoyed our stay. The house is well stocked, enough that we cooked every meal. In the evening we walked down to the Sandpiper for a drink and the next morning drove a few miles to the beach. Thank you.

just FYI - the bedroom has FULL size, not Queen bed. The couch does not pull out, there is no space to put up the blow up bed. So even sleeping 3 is very tight. Workers speed i their gold carts sending dirt clouds all over the deck area.Other than that - very nice, great value. Clean.
