Excellent, excellent experience from beginning to end. Communication was very efficient from the realty agency, we received all information, security passes, etc., in plenty of time for our sort of last minute trip (Christmas to New Years). Palmetto Dunes itself is a great community, beautiful, bike trails everywhere. Covered parking under the building, SO CLEAN in there. In season, I imagine it would be crowded but always a spot at this time of the year. The unit itself is so nicely decorated, new everything, and the bedding is lovely. A couple tiny things needed attended to, i.e. light bulb, smoke detector battery. I e-mailed the realtor no earlier than 9 p.m., they called first thing the next morning and the maintenance guy was there within the hour. Wow. Here are the things that we so appreciated: full size washer/dryer, very attractive furnishings, DVD library, puzzles and games, comfy balcony furniture, plenty of towels (wrapped so nicely with a ribbon even), every utensil you can imagine in the well appointed kitchen, lined drawers in master dresser for jewelry, directions for the TV in the front room, keyless entry. About the oak tree. Although I can see how some folks would prefer an unobstructed view of the beach, I loved the landscaping and the view from the balcony. The pictures are very accurate, and I couldn't help but mention it because I saw someone had fussed about the tree, which I found kind of amusing. We'd love to stay here again in the future when it's hot so we can enjoy the pool. The bike rentals were great, and the general store was fun to visit, yummy for snacks. It's obvious the owners of this condo really care about it, just from the details that aren't necessary to have but make guests feel so at home! Thanks for a wonderful, RELAXING stay. :)

Enough about the tree! Yes, it is slightly in the way of the view from the balcony, but if you don't want trees in any view, go to Myrtle Beach. One of the reasons that we have come to HH over the last 20 years is the beautiful way the island is maintained. (By the way, this morning I stood at the sink in the kitchen and looked through the living room into the bedroom and saw nothing but an ocean view. The condo is gorgeous with everything you need plus more. Great kitchen with all the extras (including Tupperware!!). We are here with my daughter and her husband. The layout of the condo truly gives privacy for two families. The decorating is really first class without being beach "tacky". We are loving our stay (we are here right now) and would definitely book again.

I've been a visitor to HHI for 26 years, twice a year and have stayed in many high-end complexes most of which are pretty decent. But Windsor Court, both the unit and the complex, went that one step beyond. The unit is immaculate and very tastefully, not over the top, decorated. Well supplied with everything you need and I would know as I had six friends over for Canadian Thanksgiving dinner and there was nothing I lacked. The grounds and complex are also kept impeccably clean -- pool maintenance daily, spotless garage floors, hallways cleared of cobwebs -- unlike some of the other top-end resorts. I would definitely recommend this unit and unless you insist on full ocean view, the tree referenced in one of the other comments was not obstrusive by any means.

I’m rating this condo “two stars” because the picture taken from the balcony, and advertised in this website, “Relax in tropical paradise on the private balcony “is clearly outdated. This might have been the ocean view from the balcony years ago, before a large oak tree took up a majority of the owner’s ocean view. The owners should post an updated picture from their actual balcony to their website, so that renters are clear on what they are getting into. I was very disappointed and voiced my regret to the owner. Also, spent the first 24 hours trying to get the TV cable working, the place was dusty and had to do some light housework before allowing my children to crawl/walk on the floors, as well as replace batteries in the clocks. Hopefully, the cable will be fixed by the third day. I would recommend this condo to people with disabilities, there is an elevator located very close to the condo entrance. The amenities, pool area is great and offers lots of shade for small children as well as tables and chairs, great for lunch and/or snack time. This is one of the main reasons why my family comes back to Windsor Court. (We enjoyed the views from the other side of Windsor Court last May.) There is also lots of restaurants close by and the local general store, close to the gates, is very convenient when you need to pick up forgotten or last minute items.
Owner response:Our balcony is quite private; Hilton Head Island is considered by many to be a tropical paradise. The live oak tree mentioned so many times by other reviewers is clearly in the picture, which was taken within the past year. Windsor Court is shaped like a "Y" - our side of the building does not overlook the pool as the other two do - and is shady by late morning - most of our guests love the peace and quiet - and the view. Some even rave about the tree! As to the other challenges mentioned here - while we regret that these things happen - they do indeed occasionally occur in any rental situation. We employ and on-island agent who is most responsive to all issues. Had this guest called our agent, the cleaning issues and the clock repair would have been quickly and completely rectified. We have since learned that there had been trouble with the cable throughout the entire building on the morning in question. Again, nothing we can do about this - however a call to our agent would have at least answered the question for our guest. We have placed a large selection of DVD's, along with a number of children's favorites, which may be an alternative to TV, along with a number of books and games. We invite you to read all reviews - and to contact us directly with any questions or concerns. This is our only rental property and we work very hard to try to ensure a great and memorable Hilton Head vacation in our villa. To that end, we sincerely appreciate all comments. Thank you.

This spacious and beautifully decorated property was perfect for our family. We ate in a few nights and found the kitchen to be well-equipped, having everything we could have possibly needed. This villa accommodated our family of six better than many of the others we've stayed in previous years. They really maximazed their bedroom space providing a King-sized bed in one of the bedrooms and two Queen-sized beds in the other. In my search, this was the only unit I found with that amenity, and again it suited our family perfectly. The balcony was peaceful and had a gorgeous view of the ocean. The owners of this villa were great communicators from the time we booked our vacation and were truly interested in our satisfaction. We found the entire space to be relaxing, inviting and very affordable. Without a doubt, we would stay here again, and if we vacation in Hilton Head next summer, we hope to do just that!

Thank you for providing a comfortable home away from home for our vacation in Hilton Head. Your condo is beautifully decorated and has everything a family could want and more. The two double beds in the master bedroom were great and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to cook dinner. If you can get them to trim the tree off the balcony I think this would be the best unit in the building. We would recommend this as a top place to stay in Hilton Head.
Owner response:We're so glad to hear that your enjoyed your stay and look forward to welcoming you back again and again! To clarify, the tree between our side of the building and the ocean is a live oak - enjoying, along with many of the trees and shrubs on HHI, protected status - translation - not to be trimmed or altered in any way. These trees, in total, make HHI the island paradise that it is. Given that, we have come to accept the tree for its own beauty - and truly do not find it objectionable - it merely enhances our "overall" view and ambience. Most tend to agree with us. Again - thank you - can't wait for your return to Windsor Court North!

We just had a wonderful week in your condo with our family. Everything was as advertised. Your condo has everything a person needs. Even the extras (DVD & CD collection and games) are a nice added touch. We can't think of anything you forgot. The ocean view from the balcony is obstructed by trees, but, having a quiet end unit more than makes up for that. We have been visiting HHI and IOP for 10 years and your condo is one of the nicest that we have stayed in. We would definitely recommend it, and look forward to possibly staying there again.
