Location: Sapphire Beach Resort & Marina, Sapphire Beach, East End, USVI - St. Thomas, Caribbean
Accommodations: Condo, 1 Bedroom + No additional sleeping rooms avail, 1 Bath (Sleeps 1-2)
Keywords: Condo
This condo is the most dazzling unit on Sapphire Beach Resort and Marina. Everything is new and of luxury quality. This just recently renovated condo for two has an ultra modern granite kitchen with designer appliances, cookware and utensils, an exquisite all marble and glass tile bath with walk in shower and designer towels. The living room has a large sectional leather sofa, hand made designer furniture and two flat screen televisions. Mahogany is utilized in the bedroom with hand made designer bed, dresser, flat screen television and high count linen.
The condo is literally a stone's throw from the Caribbean Sea and directly on the beach. What makes the 'Glass House on the Sea' so special is that it is located on the coveted trade wind side (eastern) of the Sapphire Beach property where there is always a breeze with perfect temperature. The condo is on the second floor of building E with a 270 degree view that faces both east and south (most units at Sapphire have a 180 degree view with neighbors on both sides). This gives one the advantage of a spectacular view of the sun and moon rising and setting each day. The condo is also a corner unit with no neighbors to its south which allows for more privacy and a very special vista of the marina. 'The Glass House on the Sea', unlike most condos on Sapphire Beach, has it all - contemporary luxury, the sea, a view of St. John and the British Virgin Islands, sunrise/sunset, the moon coming over the mountain (St. John), the marina and more square footage and privacy (corner unit).
Being only 20 feet from the water's edge on the second floor gives one the impression of floating on a ship. The 'Glass House on the Sea' is a premier condo in a gated community and fully equipped with all the conveniences of home. The beachfront condo has been completely renovated in a very contemporary style from floor to ceiling. Designer bath towels and linen add to the luxury. The living room is all sliding glass doors on two sides and opens to a large and fully furnished balcony where one can dine or just relax with a stunning backdrop of the sea and the marina. This condo is the most beautiful unit at Sapphire - both interior and exterior.
Sapphire Beach has two beaches, a fresh water pool, tennis courts and many beach amenities. The village of Red Hook is only five minutes away and compliments the resort with restaurants, food market, shopping and boat excursions to many nearby islands.
For those who desire more space, the unit next to the 'Glass House on the Sea' is also available. When renting both, one has the capacity for four persons with the luxury of double interior space and double balcony space.
So come and enjoy the privacy, the trade winds, the beauty of the vista and the music of the surf.

I'm sooo glad we decided to rental this awesome condo rather than staying in a hotel. The description and photos of this unit was accurate, but you do not get the full picture until you arrive! My husband & I stayed here for our honeymoon in July and we had a fabulous time. Great condo, great beach, and plenty of activities. We took advantage of having Red Hook nearby for dinner & drinks, as well as a market to stock up on a few food items. Having the marina next door was great, as we rented jet skis and went on a sunset dinner cruise. And the beautiful beach & pool within walking distance was great too! I would absolutely recommend this place anyone! Hopefully we can make it back soon! thanks Robert! :)

Excellent condo for two. Well located , contemporary and romantic. Plenty of room, great views. Very well furnished and affordable. Next to the marina if you like to fish. Our son, daughter in law and grandchildren stayed in a two bedroom unit thatt was very close and it worked out wonderfully.

The condo is absolutely perfect! My sister and I just returned from a week in St Thomas and we had an amazing time. The condo looks just as pictured on the website, although nothing compares to actually seeing it in person. Everything was very clean, modern kitchen and bathroom, furniture was very comfortable. The kitchen was very nice, we bought some food for breakfast and lunches, and made dinner one night. The balcony has one of the best views I have ever seen, and perfect for enjoying any meal. Like a previous reviewer stated, we hardly used the A/C at all. The weather was perfect and we fell asleep with the doors open listening to the waves crashing. The beach right in front of the condo was beautiful and snorkeling was great. We did not rent a car and it was very manageable. The dollar taxi was very nice and helped balance out the costs of regular taxi service, we took it into Red Hook every time we went and one day used it to go into Charlotte Amalie. Sam was wonderful, he drove us to and from the airport and was extremely welcoming and helpful during our whole trip. Thank you Robert for letting us use your condo, we are already looking forward to returning soon!

My new husband and I stayed at the glass house on the sea for our honeymoon this past April- It was perfect! The condo itself is absolutely gorgeous, completely renovated and in the most perfect location in the resort. Close enough to walk from the main beach back and forth to fill your drink or get a snack, but tucked away in the corner of the building to give a good amount of privacy, great for romantic breakfasts and dinners on the balcony. I wouldnt be surprised if this is the nicest condo in the resort! Everything was as described and pictured, clean, and all the kitchen utensils you could need, etc... Fresh towels were provided daily, and having the snorkel equipment was a bonus as well, as there is amazing snorkeling right at sapphire beach. We did visit other beaches on the island, sapphire was one of the nicest for sure- take a walk to lindquist beach too- about 15- stunning! Make sure to visit the BVI and St John too. My husband and I are not resort type people, we like to explore and do things on our own, so this was perfect. This condo is great for that type of vacation, we even brought some food from home- food is a bit pricey, and I am a health nut and wanted a few essentials from home. Having a kitchen is a must for us as we eat our breakfast and usually lunch in the condo and then out of for nice dinners. We ate 2 dinners in the condo on the romantic balcony by the sea :) We definitely prefer this to buffets and big resorts. Sam the property manager was at our disposal when we neede dhim and was great. And Robert was great to deal with. No complaints at all about the condo would def stay there again. Sapphire is the best location on the island too- close enough to red hook for restaurants and the ferry $4 per person each way, and on a fabulous beach! we would do one day exploring other islands and then one day at our beach. Best part was being lulled to sleep by the ocean every night, did not even use the AC as the breeze was perfect. I would highly reccomend this condo to anyone!!

Just got married in St. Thomas and we stayed at the Glass House on the Sea. This unit is the best unit at Sapphire Beach. We have stayed there several times in different units and this beats all the other units. We will be staying at the Glass House on the Sea when we return. Amazing view, comfortable bed and clean. Sam was awesome as always. Thank you Robert for all your help. We highly recommend this unit. Can not wait to return.

Just wanted to share that our stay at this property in September 2009 was wonderful. The condo was extremly clean, plenty of towels, the view amazing and had all we needed for our two weeks in Robert's condo. We were able to watch boats coming and going from the marina, enjoyed amazing snorkeling at the beach and thoroughly enjoyed the pool as well. We hope to return someday and will definitely stay at the same location. Thanks again Robert for making our stay so comfortable!

This newly remodeled stylish 2nd floor condo offers spectacular ocean views facing both St. John Island and the marina which is home to luxury yachts. The condo boasts a granite kitchen with all the tools necessary for basic cooking (pots and pans, toaster, blender, microwave, coffeemaker, etc.). The living area is furnished with a large and comfortable sectional couch and large flat panel TV with all normal US cable channels including HBO and Showtime. The condo is decorated nicely with original artwork. The bedroom has a comfortable king-sized bed and smaller separate flat panel TV. The bathroom highlights a large shower with natural stone tile and frame free glass shower door. The condo’s corner location allows for multiple windows on two sides allowing plenty of natural light. The wrap around patio is definitely one of the condos best attributes. It is nicely finished with deck furniture’s. I could never figure out how to turn on the deck lights but they may have been purposely disabled as the outdoor candles result in perfect ambience. While we didn’t spend time at the pool is large, comfortable and clean. There small poolside restaurant/bar has been temporarily closed apparently due to some unpaid utility bills from the previous operator. Hopefully someone will get it going again soon as I could have seen myself spending some quality time relaxing at it’s bar while sipping on island rum drinks. The beach is clean and not crowded. The resort staff cleans the beach each morning. The surf on the beach was soft which allowed for snorkeling and swimming. There is even medium reef for snorkeling on the west side where we saw a variety of colorful fish and even a sea turtle. Another guest told me about seeing a spotted ray there the previous day. There are a couple of sets of fins and masks (no snorkels) stored in the closet for guest use or you can rent whatever you need from the activities desk at the beach. The location was in close proximity to the town of Red Hook which has a good selection of restaurants (sushi, Italian, pizza, Mexican, pub/bars, BBQ, etc.) and shopping (grocery, scuba shop, clothing, marine supply, etc.) The resort is clean and nicely landscaped. The resort felt very safe as there are is visible security presence with regular foot patrols. Check-in/out was easy and coordinating with the owner was easier than most experiences I have had with commercial hotels. We look forward to coming back

We stayed at the Glass House by the sea for nine great days. The condo is clean with all the amenities you would find in your own home. The view is breathtaking and the snorkeling great right of the beach in front of the building. We hope to go there again next year.
