If you and your family or friends are looking for a peaceful retreat, and/or some great land for hunting and fishing, this peice of property is perfect. If you book the cabin for a week, you will be the only group staying on the property.
It has been in our family for over 200 years. It is managed daily and is constantly being improved. We have never allowed for public access to the land but we are looking forward to sharing our blessing with you.
There are miles of trails that are great for horse back riding, four wheeling, hiking or mountain biking and you're guaranteed to see a variety of wildlife along the way.
There are also several sites that are great for camping and even a small paved RV park with water and electrical hookups.
The land is hunted and fished very little which provides for an abundance of game animals.
There are 6 plots for deer with two-seater covered metal stands. There is a flight pin stocked with quail ready for release in case no wild covies are found. There are two dove fields, with blinds and power lines that are planted seasonally with corn and millet. Turkeys can be heard and found regularly. There is also plenty of rabbits.
We have a skeet shooting range with 3 remote operated automatic throwers to practice your aim before the hunt.
It has been said that cedar pond is the largest natural pond (55+ acres) in the state and it is packed with trophy size bass. A man-made pond (35 acres) fed by the cedar pond is also great for fishing. Another small man-made pond you can always catch brim one after the other, which is great for kids.
A mix of tall pine groves, hardwood swamps, beautiful dark water ponds, open hay fields and the hilly terrain truly make this a midland South Carolina paradise. The only way to truly appreciate the landscape is to see it with your own eyes.
If you are looking for a peaceful, scenic retreat with the option to enjoy some of the finest hunting and fishing in the area, please come visit. You and your friends or family will be welcomed with down to earth southern hospitality.
