This recently updated second floor unit has spectacular views of the ocean from the living room as well as the master bedroom. There is a dual entry balcony with large sliding doors and windows providing lots of natural light. Decorated in a cottage style with a clean beachy feel, this is a fantastic place for couples to go for a romantic getaway or for families with young children.
The master bedroom offers a new queen size four-poster bed complete with matching furniture, a new LCD flat-screen TV, a VCR player and access to a private half bathroom. Ocean views and balcony access from the master bedroom allow for a truly serene atmosphere.
The second bedroom is decorated in a nautical theme with two twin beds and a generous amount of closet space. An armoire in the living room opens up to reveal a TV, DVD and VCR players and extended cable network as well as wireless internet - check your email or surf the net as you gaze out towards the ocean.
Boasting a new ceramic tile floor (which extends throughout the living room and full bathroom), the fully equipped kitchen provides everything you need for meals at home. Just make sure that you don't leave without trying the local, fresh caught seafood at several of the character restaurants nearby.
The full bathroom offers a shower/bathtub combination with an adjacent linen closet. Linens are not provided but can be arranged through a rental service on the island. There is a shared coin-operated laundry facility for washer and dryer use on the first floor.
A Place at the Beach is a very clean, quiet condominium complex with it's own private pool and lounge chairs. It is lushly landscaped with palm trees and privacy fenced for wonderful sun-catching fun. Access to the beach is just outside your door and there is an outdoor shower and spray off area solely for the use of our building.
The boardwalk is just 1/2 mile away which boasts restaurants, shopping and a marina that has boat rentals and charters with daily departures for fishing, pleasure boating or sunset cruising. Other activities nearby include the NC Aquarium, Fort Fisher and the fishing pier. Not too far away is a ferry to Southport which is a great day trip. For the golf enthusiast, there are several great courses close by that allow public play. Carolina Beach is where the "shag" dance began and there are numerous festivals (Blues and Jazz, Seafood/Chowder cook-off, Beach Music) during the summer months as well as live music on the boardwalk, free movies and concerts. Of course, the views of pelicans, dolphins and romantic sunrises are best experienced right from the balcony.

We chose this location to be close to our daughter and her family. They have sinced relocated but we have kept this wonderful condo because we love visiting and relaxing here on the beach.

You can't beat the location...just a short walk away from the fishing pier in one direction, or just another short walk to the deep sea fishing boats, the pavilion, shopping and restaurants.
If you wish to drive, you are just minutes away from downtown Wilmington, many golf courses, the aquarium, shopping and just about anything you would like to do. After excursions, you can relax and sit on our balcony, enjoying the cool breezes, or take a dive into the ocean followed by a refreshing dip in our sparkling pool. A full sized kitchen with all the necessary cooking utensils make dinner preparation easy..or drive to several exceptional restaurants without leaving the island. It's the best of both worlds

My daughter and her husband relocated to Wilmington NC and my husband and I decided to invest in nearby Carolina Beach. Living in Charleston SC, we love the ocean and especially love the family atmosphere and lifestyle that Carolina Beach presents.
Our condo is a little slice of heaven and we love watching the sunrise, pelicans and shorebirds as well as leisurely walks along this wonderful shoreline. We know you will love it too.

Wonderful place to stay went down for the weekend for boyfriend's 50th birthday. Had a blast very comfortbale place just the right size unit very nicely decorated,everything you need in kitchen and the most comfortable bed I have seen in a long time. very nice pool,and the view is great.

Literally, all you have to do is bring your swimsuit and toothbrush and you will be fine in this condo. Very well stocked with everything we needed in the kitchen. This is the first time I've stayed at a place that had an outside storage unit which was awesome because we could leave the beach chairs and toys (that were there for us to use) there without dragging sand inside the condo. The condo was clean and very well decorated with quality furnishings. The beach was really nice and not too crowded. Lots of things to do with little ones in the area - all within a 10 minute drive. Judy was wonderful to work with since I had some questions. She always responded in a timely manner. Great place to stay and would love to come back!

My husband and I had one of our best vacations ever at this condo in Carolina Beach. The condo was beautifully decorated and the owner was wonderful to work with. We took our bikes and enjoyed riding in the morning and late afternoons. Most of the roads had bike lanes so it was perfect for us. The beach was beautiful and not too crowded. We had the most relaxing time and ate at some of the best places. The local places are the biggest surprises and I strongly recommend hitting the local restaurants. I would recommend this condo to anyone. The owner delivers exactly what she says. We will definitely be back.

Everything was just beautiful. Our first night we watched the full moon rise over the ocean and woke up to a beautiful sunrise with dolphins and pelicans playing in the surf. We had a great time and beautiful weather! A trip to the aquarium, the children's museum, a river cruise down Cape Fear River, shopping & restaurants in Wilmington. It was between 70-80 degrees during the day and cooler at night. We spent our days on the beach, late afternoons in the pool, and evenings exploring. My kids (4 & 7) said they would rather come back here than go back to Disney!! The first day we were there, my son sat out on the balcony and watched the waves for about an hour. When he came in, he came over and hugged me and said, "I really love you". This is a beautiful place and you can see the pride the owners take in it. It really is a home away from home.

Judy; I wanted to thank you for the chance to vacation in your haven at Carolina Beach. We found it to be exactly as it was represented @ VRBO. Well decorated, clean and comfortable. The view from the balcony is breathtaking and defies words. We live in the mountains and this past Sunday morning my 16 year old son said "Dad, I looked out my window and was disappointed there was not an ocean out there!" We had a wonderful, restful vacation. We rode bikes, watched the sunrise and had Britts doughnuts! We wouldn't change a thing except add a week. Our thanks, Mark, Dorothy and Stephanie

This is a beautiful condo with a view of the ocean as soon as you walk in the door. This is a quiet community and a wonderful place for a family vacation. I went with my parents and my three children, one that is 11 with disabilities, one that is 10, and one that is 3..and they all enjoyed themselves equally. The area is full of things to do but still less populated than other beaches we have been to. We enjoyed the boardwalk, fishing from a boat, amazing sunrises, and dolphins just off the the shore. All that separates you from the beach is the sand dunes. The pool is very clean, and we seen someone out cleaning around it as well as the pool itself everyday. I have recommended this condo to several of my close friends already and would recommend it to anyone, as well as I plan to stay here again myself. The condo is very tastefully decorated, and if you forgot your good reading material at home, no worries the owner has several great books to choose from. There are sand toys, an umbrella, some beach chairs, and other helpful things in the storage area. Really all you will need to bring with you is yourself, some food, and your toothbrush. I so look forward to staying in this beautiful condo again. The only possible complaint I could have would be the limited parking, but each condo has an assigned parking spot, and only a few visitor spots. For us this wasn't really a problem since we only had one vehicle but there was some people in other condo's that it seemed to be a problem for. I have marked this as recommended for families, girls getaway, age 55+, romantic getaway, but really it is for anyone!!

We really enjoyed this rental unit. It was perfect for four people. It was immaculate, well furnished, and the kitchen well-appointed. The balcony is small but the view is great, direct ocean front and very private.

My friends and I wanted a relaxing getaway and this condo was the perfect ticket. Very nice acommodations. We enjoyed the beach even without actually being ON the beach. Nice private area and easy quick walk to the actual beach. the balcony allowed us to see and hear the ocean and yet not get taken away by the wind. it was in the 70's and sunny. The storm this weekend kept us in, but it was magnificent watching it from the living area. Nice quiet community. Short distance into Wilmington as well as the Boardwalk. I would recommend this to a small family or a group of friends. Thanks to the kind owner who was great to work with. Enjoy! We will definetely come back. For the price and the view - you won't find a better deal!
