Lake-lovers retreat on quiet bay.

Chez Moose is located on Moose Lake, near Hayward Wisconsin. It is a very peaceful lake surrounded mostly by the Chequameqan National Forest. The lake is horse-shoe in form, approximately one mile across and about ten miles long. It is rated as "Class A" for Muskie fishing. Bass and Walleye are found in the lake as well.

The cabin is located on a very secluded bay just off the main lake and protected from traffic by several islands. No other cabins are within view from the dock or cabin. Recently remodeled, the cabin has been designed to resemble an old, classic, Northwoods lodge. It sits just 40 feet from the water on a slight elevation to the lake with great lake views from inside. A sun-deck along side of the cabin and a large dock area on the lake provides two different gathering areas. Floating or swimming in the bay is very easy and peaceful with no boat traffic. Wildlife is frequently viewed in the area and includes deer, black bears, eagles, and more. Muskie fishing is very good with most catches in the range of 23 inches to 34 inches. An open fire pit makes for nostalgic, evening camp fires. There are several bar/restaurants on the lake for dining out and numerous classic "Supper Clubs" complete with relish trays on each table.

For a relaxing vacation, there are few spots better than the Chez Moose, located on its quiet bay. Fishing and watersports are at your doorstep. Bike riding is easy with blacktop roads throughout and very little road traffic. Hiking, horseback riding, and town festivals are all within a few minutes drive. Many fine dining restaurants in the areas as well. And the only high-rise is a large, Muskie that stands over 30 feet tall in the town of Hayward. All in all, a quiet get-a-way or active vacation can be enjoyed from Chez Moose.
