Villa La Escondida is located in one of Cuernavaca’s most exclusive neighborhoods, Colonial Palmira. The villa is on a “privada” off the main street also called Palmira. The privada is called Privada de los Cortijos. La Escondida is just a 5 minute drive from the center of town. You are near Tabachines golf course and several great restaurants and spas. If you’re driving or adventuring around, you’re just off the highway to Mexico City with access to Taxco, Acapulco, Tepoztlan and Puebla.
Villa La Escondida is in a private, security gated community and lies at the end of a cobblestone street. This hidden house looks like a doorway, it’s very private. Just wait until you get behind the door!
This gorgeous Spanish Colonial with red terracotta roof opens to steps and a fountain. Tile work is found throughout and plants at the entryway invite you in to see more. Here you’ll find the first of many balconies with a nice view. The very large formal dining area is as nice an option as the outdoor more casual dining and living areas on the terrace. The pool is surrounded by the terrace and set in beautiful and lush garden surroundings.
There are 3 bedrooms, each with a private bath. The Master suit has a Jacuzzi bath and separate sitting room, with a terrace and table. The second bedroom has a king or two doubles and the third with two single beds. This lower level bedroom has a terrace with a table overlooking a well maintained garden. The on site caretakers have been with the family for over 8 years, and they also cook and drive.
The name Escondida means “secret”, and you have just that here. Your own private secret hideaway, yet so close to Centro Cuernavaca. It’s a great mix for someone attending one of the numerous language schools in the area, what a fantastic option for a comfortable experience! |
