For a nice holiday you should try the Algarve. This Casa worked well for us, close to everything within walking distance of Albufeira. We found it clean, comfortable and plenty of room as well as affordable. Property manager close by for any problem. Did alot of our own cooking in the spacious kitchen, but bars and eateries were everywhere. We found that a car wasn't really necessary although we had one and it allowed us to explore the Algarve on our own. Everything within walking distance and cab fares will not break you! Endless beaches. Tours available to Spain, Gibraltar, Lisbon as well as Morocco and more. If you don't have to have Ocean Front luxury try this place. :) Canadian Travelers.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, girls getaway, tourists without a car, adventure seekers.

I recently stayed at Michelle's house with my sister and my daughter. My sister and I are in our 60's and my daughter is 24. The house was perfect for our stay in Albufeira. The house was very comfortable and had everything we needed including a washing machine. The photos of the house on VRBO were right on. The location was ideal for walking anywhere in Albufeira. Just down the street is a supermarket and a bar with internet access. The people at Cerro Nova who manage the house were extremely helpful. They arranged for us to hire a driver to pick us up at the Faro airport and a driver to take us around the Algarve for a day( the driver Bruno was wonderful ). Michelle was a very good resource to answer our questions and give suggestions while we were planning our trip. I highly recommend this house to anyone going to the Algarve. You won't be disappointed!!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway, tourists without a car, adventure seekers.

Two Canadian couples enjoyed a week at this villa which was very clean and comfortable and within walking distance of the old town. We had no problems of any kind during our stay - the neighbours were friendly, the fresh lemons from the tree in the yard were delicious and the TV had programs in English - what's not to like? The kitchen is well-equipped with a large fridge/freezer and plenty of room for several cooks to work. The two bathrooms are spacious - we particularly appreciated the heated towel rails to dry our towels. Our only concern initially was that the street location has been somewhat compromised by some unfinished construction projects - the impact of the worldwide recession no doubt - however, as there was no work going on, the lack of construction dust and noise was actually appreciated and there was no visual impact from the villa. So, all in all, a successful stay!Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway, tourists without a car.

My wife and I were here in October 2009 for two weeks. Drove in from Lisboa through a big rainstorm, got turned around for a bit before we found the lovely casa. Made friends with musicians, cooks, deli workers at the local market and a pretty little cat, who decided she wanted to hang around with us when I grilled dorado (fish) and potatoes and chorizo and other tasty treats. Great location. Once we figured out the local roads and circles, we were good to go. We travelled all across the Algarve, from just inside the border of Spain to Sagres on the west coast. Enjoyed 7 or 8 beautiful beaches. We tried to arrange a musician's working vacation this year for the month of September and definitely would have rented this lovely place again. However, flights from Washington, DC proved too costly for another foray into this beautiful and charming country.Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

From the moment you arrive at Casa Da Concha, you feel relaxed. Everything has a homely feel about the place. The letting agency that is based at Cerro Novo just around the corner are very helpful and polite. The advice that they gave us saved us a small fortune just for the water alone. The views over the Marina are mesmarising to say the least. Stay here and you will leave relaxed and ready for reallity of everyday life and the trials and tribulations that may come your way. Thanks again to everyone invloved with Casa Da Concha. Regards JoshRecommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with young children.

Owner info
Year Purchased: 2008
About the owner: I was a single woman who went to write a book in Portugal a few years ago and fell in love with Albufeira. So much so, I decided that I would do whatever it took to live there at least part of the year. Currently, I am working on making that dream come true. In the meantime, I am able to share my home with others- what a joy! This home is the result of hard work, dedication and one person's dream- it has great energy and you will enjoy your stay!
Why the Owner Chose Albufeira:
The people of Albufeira are so sociable and friendly. Plus, the location is ideal- I am so close to everything I love (beach, marina). The climate is warm, almost mediterranean, and the water is clear with a turquoise tint. I appreciate the quiet of the house location since I go there to write, but then town is right around the corner when I want to be around others. It is ideal and I love it there. I am an avid traveler so being close to Faro airport was a goal as well.
The Unique Benefits at this Bungalow:
The full bathrooms are perfect for when my parents or friends join me for a visit. We also have a great time making meals together in the large kitchen and enjoy relaxing outside on the patio. Plus, sitting by the fire at night watching a movie or reading is such a nice experience. We walk to the marina or to town to catch a bite to eat or head to the beach or the pool for a swim.
