To the owners of this great home, and to Chris a great BIG THANK YOU. I looked for the perfect place to spend a week for my husbands 50th birthday and I am so glad to have found your house. First day and we were already relaxed and enjoying the ocean and all of the dolphins swimming by. My husband told me that this was the best birthday present he's ever had. We will be back again. It is only 25 minutes from our home but it feels like we are on the other side of the world. All I need now is to see a whale, I keep looking every day.The sound of the waves are the best. I had my 15 year college reunion and our expectations were extremely exceeded! We had the phenomenal ocean views, amazing decks, spacious rooms, and short walk to the local restaurants and couldn't have asked for more. But, then we got exactly that with the indoor pool, which we spent hours in. We're hoping to return there for our annual reunions going forward!

I rented the beach house for an informal reunion with my college roommates. We could not have had a better experience and plan to return there annually for our reunions going forward. The location right on the water is incomparable and we were able to quickly walk to the local restaurants and shops. The indoor pool was a plus we didn't even ask for, and we used it all weekend. I couldn't recommend this house more highly!

Recommended for:Girls getaway, sightseeing, families with teenagers, tourists without a car.

Great Coastal Escape from the busy Metropolis.

This was a fantastic place to stay for the week! If I could give it more stars I would! My San Franciscan family and I went to visit San Diego for a conference and decided to stay at this rental as opposed to staying at a hotel. Our intention was to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and wanted to kick back to a slower more relaxing pace for a week. What a great choice it was to stay at this property! The kids loved the indoor pool and my husband and I loved the view from the deck of the Master bedroom. The surrounding beach city of Encintas is so quaint and we were walking distance of restaurants, a seaside bazaar and plenty of shops with various curios. Chris and her staff and the owners were so helpful whenever we needed some advice about the area. There are plenty of beds and sleeping space if you are planning to have your extended family stay. If you have any teenagers that need to be connected to technology there is wireless internet and satellite TV. I have to say that the best part of the day are those moments right between day and night when the sun is setting. Sitting out on the balcony drinking some wine and listening to the crashes of waves is perhaps the most relaxing moments of my life. We just returned home to Arizona and I wanted to drop you a line about how lovely your house was to stay in. It was so very comfortable and easy to relax in. We weren’t there too much of the time but when we were, we were able to unwind. The kids liked having their own pool, as did Mark & I. Your decorating is magnificent! I came home with ideas on colors, curtains, lighting, etc. It really inspired me to make some changes to our house in Scottsdale. I can't wait to come back as I miss having our own swimming pool in the living room!

Worst Vacation Home

This property was invested with ants from the beds to the kitchen, windows & gardening were filthy. The appliances didn't work, garage door about to fall off, and with daily calls and complaints the owner did get workers, pest control out to the property but I spent x4 days of my vacation with clean up crews. All these items needed to be attended to before a client arrives. The house is old and dirty, musty smell...and so expensive.. beautiful location but beware!

We were very happy with this property. The kids loved the pool and the short walk to Moonlight Beach and its playground. The adults loved the upper deck (both were great but upstairs just rocks) and the 3 block walk to awesome restaurants and unique shopping boutiques. We DIDN'T want to leave!

This house has exceeded our expectations! Incredible priceless views. We came here to celebrate my mother's & father's 50th anniversary. She had an unforgettable week with the family. From the moment you walk in and see the beautiful ocean, you fall in love with this place. We had never felt as comfortable or relaxed as we have here. the kids loved all of the many attractions of San Diego within easy driving distance. We spend most afternoons on the deck, and believe me, it was difficult to leave. The kids absolutely loved the pool and want to come back next year! Watching surfers, boats and dolphins never gets old, we even saw a whale from the patio! The fresh ocean air is so intoxicating and the local food is great- we could walk to all and have many great memories! The Andrade Family

Serious Ant Problem

Although the pool and the oceanview were great! However, the ant infestation is a REAL problem at this property. Although an exterminator visted the property and sprayed the perimeter, the problem got worse. The owner then set off bug bombs and this minimally addressed the problem. Ants are in every cabinet, around the pool, in the bathrooms, the dishwasher, the trash can, in the dining room, on every window sill. It's a real nightmare. I left a punch list in the folder provided with the items that need tending to, as this place needs a lot of TLC.

We have had the most wonderful holiday. The house is splendid- Going to sleep listening to the ocean has been a realy memorable experience. So has seeing dolphins swimming past-so near. We love the atmosphere & buzz of Encinitas and would love to come back. Thank you!
