Fabulous Place to Stay!

We stayed here this past week and were blown away! Tall ceilings, lots of space, and very relaxing. The kitchen has great appliances, the entire house is well decorated and extremely clean. The two swings were well used, and we appreciated use of the grill. The only drawback is that sound travels a little too well throughout the house. The location is also ideal: 20-minute walk (5-minute drive) from downtown, 15-minute drive to beach, lots of restaurants nearby, and two blocks from a great coffee house. We would definitely stay here again. Five stars!!!
Owner response:Hi Karen~ Thank you for your lovely review. It always makes us happy to know that our guests enjoyed their stay in our Wilmington home! I will do what I can to work on the sound issue... Maybe some new area rugs:-) We look forward to having you back in the future! Kind regards

This was a great house- photos don't do it justice. The rooms are spacious and light-filled, the decor mixed the architecturally unique with 21st century luxury, kitchen was well appointed. The beds were unbelievably comfy and the bathrooms huge. The house was large enough to be comfortable for a houseful, without feeling crowded and the back deck is perfect for outdoor dining (and lounging) The owner was tremendous, the neighborhood blissfully quiet. Port City Java was 2 blocks away as was the amazing (and seemingly undiscovered) Wallace Park. It was close to downtown restaurants without the noise & parking issues- this would be my first choice for a place to stay in Wilmington.
Owner response:Thank you Karen for the glowing review. I'm so glad that you enjoyed your stay! PLease come back and visit us again soon! Regards, Joan

8 adults rented this wonderful house for a weekend wedding getaway and we LOVED this house! Immaculate, beautifully decorated, in a charming neighborhood, and close to everything downtown. I would love to go back to Wilmington soon and if I do I will definitely rent this house again!

Dear Brianna, We just returned from a lovely roadtrip of the Southeastern united States. What a luxury to stay at your great home. We were on our way back to the northeast and weary from our travels. Needless to say our time spent at your home in Wimington was exactly what we needed. We spent every evening either on your spacious back deck grilling out and sipping wine or relaxing on your charming southern style front porch swinging on the porch swing. Also, the proximity to the park was great! Thank you so kindly for welcoming us in and allowing us to be able to make our trip to Wilmington that much more enjoyable!

We had a WONDERFUL graduation weekend in Wilmington! We loved the Perry Avenue house and were so impressed with how beautifully it has been renovated. We especially loved the kitchen and the back yard. We spent lots of relaxing hours on the deck and the swings! Everything in the house was so clean and fresh. We were very pleased and thoroughly enjoyed every moment. Thank you for your help and we will recommend the house to anyone we know coming to Wilmington. We hope to come back one day ourselves!

We have just returned from our trip to North Carolina and we just wanted to tell you that the Perry Avenue house was wonderful. It was so peaceful and beautiful there. Since some of the family could not make the trip, it turned out that Mom, my 11 year old son and I were the only inhabitants during the rental, but it could not (in my opinion) be a more perfect home. I could very easily live in that house for the rest of my life and be quite happy. My husband was one of the people who could not make it and I told him that we should definitely go down again sometime and stay at the house ourselves. I will also highly recommend the house to anyone looking to stay in the Wilmington area. Do you ever rent for longer term, say, a month at a time? Like July or August? If so, it would certainly be something I would consider doing annually. Anyway, I am raving on... Thank you so much again for the use of your beautiful home, we really enjoyed it. Kindest regards-

The house is in good condition, as it was recently renovated. We had a bumpy first day with an empty propane tank for the grill and needed to call for linens. The property manager was responsive and took care of everything. The location is nice and we enjoyed Wilmington very much. Carriage ride thru the historic district and the Aquarium at Fort Fisher were highlights. The house does need a few things to make it a nicer rental: headboards for the beds, and window coverings for many of the windows, especially the street-facing master bathroom. Overall, we enjoyed our trip.
Owner response:Future renters, Thank you for your interest in this property. We remember this family fondly and took each of their suggestions to heart while we set out for immediate remedies. Solar shades were ordered for the second floor bathroom windows within a week of their departure, as well as new solar shades for the downstairs living room and den. We have also added headboards to two of the five beds so far. We appreciate all comments and suggestions that our guests have to offer in helping us to make your stay as comfortable as possible! Hope to see you soon~ Kind regards~
