Great house to stay in for either a vacation or an extended stay like I did for over 4 months. Cute beach house close to everything including Gayle's Bakery, Capitola Village and the beach. Loved my stay here and will look forward to coming back!

We are sad to be packing up and moving but have definitely enjoyed our stay here at the cottage. Thanks for being such a wonderful landlord. The neighborhood is wonderful, and we will definitely miss it here. (written by two teachers who were long term guests at the Cottage in 2011)

I have stay here several times, both in the summer and winter and it has always been pleasant. The location is great for walks to the beach and to restuarants and my favorite bakery. The beds are great and the TV is better than the one I have at home. I love to sit outside in the back garden and read my books. I would recomend this cottage.

This place was amazing, and I will definitely be back. The cottage has all the amenities you would need, so you feel right at home. It's an easy walk to downtown and the beach, and even the backyard makes you feel like you're on vacation. Sunshine Beach Cottage is a fun and relaxing place to stay.

It was a cute place and I loved it. I liked the house in back. Me and my cousins sleep in it and played - it was awesome. I liked to walk into the little shops with my family. Pizza My Heart was really good. I hung out with my family in the living room a lot and did some puzzles too. We did a lot of playing and joking around. Taylor (11 years old)

Hi! Me and my family have had a fantastic week at your house. We've only been hear for 2 days now and we have one more day to go. This is a fantastic rental house! It's a very close walk to the beach. The first thing my family and I said when we came in was "Oh wow, what a cute place!" We all loved everything about the house and the bunk room in the back. We had an absolutely delightful stay in your gorgeous cottage while visiting from Queensland, Australia. We really enjoyed the garden and the whole neighborhood. Many walks were spent admiring how well kept and beautiful Capitola is. We did many day trips to Carmel and Monterey as well as spending time in Aptos and Capitola Beach. Your house has everything you could want in a vacation getaway and then some! We love Capitola and plan to come back again.

Great cottage in a great spot! Enjoyed just relaxing at the beach, eating in, and checking out the Village. Don't miss the deli across the street and make sure to cruise around town on the bicycles provided just like the locals. We'll be back!

Your place is lovely! Just what a beach cottage should be. The house is so homey and welcoming - nicely appointed and I love the sunny yellows and lime greens. It was the perfect place to get some rest and recharge my batteries. Thank you.

A Reunion for College Friends

Sunshine Beach cottage was an ideal location for a reunion of four college friends who travelled from South Carolina, Wisconsin, Illinois, and Texas to Capitola! The cozy cottage was perfect for hours of conversation in the cozy living room or colorful garden. The cottage was as comfortable and charming as pictured! The close proximity to Gayle's Bakery was a great advantage for meals any time of the day. It was delightful to enjoy all the quaint cottages and gardens as we walked the fifteen minutes into Capitola for a coffee or an hour of shopping. We enjoyed a wine tour, a day in Carmel, and wonderful meals on the water and around town. We'll plan a return trip!

Owner response:Glad that you had such a nice time at SBC with your girlfriends, STNY! We try to make the house and back yard comfortable for those kinds of special times. Actually, the walk to the Village is about 7-8 minutes, but perhaps you were being particularly leisurely and appreciating the many cute and interesting cottages in the area.
