Florianopolis is popular for having some of the best nightlife in South America but you need to know where to go and how to do it, something you don't want to waste a week figuring out for yourself.

The apartment was fantastic. It is in a great location near Praia Mole Beach. The area is not too built up but also not too remote. It is within a secure gated compound so always felt very safe (as does the whole of Floripa). The apartment is very well equipped and the master bedroom is amazing. Lots of interesting design features and has a very modern/new feel to it. The owner Bill was very helpful and good at communicating. We had to deal with the caretaker, property manager and a couple of workman during our stay and they were all really helpful and friendly as well. Can't recommend this place enough - if we go back, will definitely look to stay here again!

Absolutely luxury stay. The house is perfect done in a great style, very spacy and clean. It's on the secured territory with other cottages just a couple of minutes from awesome Praia Mole beach. We had a fantastic vacation in Florianopolis. Bill and Carla were there to welcome us, helped us rent a car and gave us a bunch of tips on things to do. The location of the condo is great - a ten minute drive to barra de lagoa where we surfed every day. You can also walk across the street to praia mole. The condo itself was a great layout with way more space than the two of us could use. The dipping pool and backyard were perfect when we wanted to stay in and relax. We will definitely be returning.

we liked the property mainly because of its location (close to a lovely beach, a safe and lively one too, with nice people around us). the property is comfortable, well maintained n cute. we also liked the location because of its proximity to lagoa da conceicao (centrinho), where nice restaurants and bars can be found. praia mole: a lovely surfing area. we also enjoyed sailing on the lake, scuba diving off ilha do arvoredo, also driving around the ribeirao da ilha (old) fishing towns. a nice holiday location, with goodfun places and lovely people!!

We had a wonderful experience from the booking, suggestions on the car rental ( who spoke English and met us at the airport). The rental was clean, modern and comfortable. The location was unbeatable in one of the more popular beaches, Praia Mole, which was only in 10 minute walk. I would highly recommend renting this unit.

My wife and I were on sabbaticals for 6 months in the Florianopolois area and wanted to find an ideal place for us. We have young children (ages 3-7) and our desire was to be near the beach in comfortable accomodations. We found our dream situation in this condo in the Praia Mole area! First of all, it is difficult to find accomodations that are updated, clean ----- in essence, a condo near the beach that is as nice as any you would find in the United States. The condo is roomy, easily accommodates 4 people comfortably. It has a very open feel, a great patio, in addition to a beautiful patio, BBQ, and small pool for entertaining. Also, the air conditioning units make it very comfortable when the weather turns hot and humid. Another feature of this property worthy of mention is the fact that it is the last unit in the complex, located next to a large parking/lot, turnaround area. Our children used this area to play soccer and baseball. Also, there is a small playground (swing set, teeter totter) near the unit. Being the last unit in the complex also has another plus...more of a feeling of privacy. Finally, we also liked having the really nice, little hiking trail to the Lagoon located 30 yards from our unit. As far as things to do in the area, the condo is ideally situated. It is right across the beach from Praia Mole, which is a gorgeous beach. This beach is probably not ideal swimming for small children, but you are only a few minutes away by car or bus to Barra da Lagoa, which is a great, swimming/surfing beach for young children and beginners. Also, we loved hiking on the many trails around Praia Mole. We loved the restaurants in the areas - including Cirrus (in Barra da Lagoa), the many along the roadway running from Praia Mole to Lagoa da Conciecao - including Leka (good pizza at a reasonable price)-, and the many establishments in the Lagoa - such as Cafe Cultura and Pro Pao. I your are so inclined, getting over the hill to the city of Florianopolis for more extensive shopping, movies, etc. is about a 15-20 minute drive. From our perspective, this condo was in an ideal location, away from the hustle and bustle of the city - yet close enough to go there when you want. The owner of the property, Bill, is one of the nicest, most accommodating people you could ever hope to meet. He is very responsive to any problems that might arise and provides plenty of helpful information about the area. Recc: Book it now!!!!!!

You will not be sorry if you stay at this beautiful modern condo across from Praia Mole beach. We found it online and were hoping the pictures matched the property. We were not dissappointed. #30 is pristine and beautifully decorated. Spotless and orderly with a very open, serene ambiance. I did not want to leave. Bill was a wonderful host, even meeting us at the airport so we wouldn't get lost, which we would have. The beds were very comfortable. We slept five (2 adult girls in the queen, 1 adult boy in the double and two adults in the master king) there is a loft above the master suite that could actually sleep a couple more; on futons;(older children/adults only; no safety rails; as it's original intention is a yoga/meditation room). All appliances worked great. We drank water from a countertop filter system in the kitchen and also straight from the tap; with no ill effects. The pool is so beautiful and the timed waterfall a luxurious touch. We loved the outdoor kicthen and dining area and ate most of our meals out there. The adjacent lagoon trail was a fun short hike and we swam in the cool waters off the dock and climbed on the big boulders. Great photo ops there! We had a bit of rain while in Floripa (we were there March 14-18) but it was warm and nice. In our rented car, we traveled to other beaches fairly easily. We were ready to cook for ourselves on this last leg of a long 16 day trip so we used the little local market to purchase our food. We did eat at Rosas Resturant and it was basic and good. I am vegetarian so my options are usually limited but I had their french fries and they were good.One activity we loved was "sand dune boarding"...yep that's right... it was a blast; even "in the pouring rain".
