The charm and beauty of downtown Charleston is only 20 minutes away. You might choose to explore the famous Charleston Market, tour its historic homes, visit the new aquarium, on the way to Charleston, stop and see the carrier Yorktown display, or just take a romantic stroll along the Battery or across our fantastic new bridge. Charleston is known for its cobblestone streets, horse-drawn carriages, incredible architecture, antiques, art galleries, and great dining experiences.
The town of Mount Pleasant, only 10 minutes away, offers upscale shopping and some of the finest seafood restaurants in the Low Country. Revolutionary and Civil War buffs should plan visits to Fort Sumter in Charleston Harbor and Fort Moultrie at the southern end of Sullivan's Island.
