This cottage is located in Kiawah's West Beach Village. Back left corner of Thrasher Court cul-de-sac overlooking lagoon in an area called Sparrow Pond. Non traffic area so ideal for children.
This cottage is a three minute walk to the Sparrow Pond community pool (open from April through early October). If you continue on the path past the pool, in another 2 and a half minutes you are walking onto the beach.
3-minute walk to Strawmarket shops, restaurant, News Stand, Scoops Ice Cream, West Beach tennis courts (4 minutes), bike rental shop, and Cougar Point pro shop, one of the 5 world famous Kiawah Golf courses.
5 minute drive to Freshfields Village.
Kiawah offers 10 miles of beach and 30 miles of paved leisure trails, bicycling is a great way to explore this island.
Cottage has Wireless Internet, 1 king, 1 Queen, 2 single beds, and 1 twin day bed with pop-up trundle sleeping a total of 8 people. Each bedroom has cable TV as well as Cable TV in main room and on screened porch (total 6 TV's).
Corian countered galley kitchen. Screened porch overlooks bike trail and lagoon. Wrap around deck with gas grill. Cottage on pilings to catch ocean breezes. When sitting outside, you hear the ocean waves.
Please be sure to ask about a Monthly Winter Snowbird rate based on Oct through March.
Weekly rentals are Saturday to Saturday. Check-in time is 4pm or later, check-out time is 10am

This was a great place to spend the Thanksgiving Holiday!! Very quite and relaxing!! Only two complaints - need another shelf in the oven and the trees are too close in the driveway (we hit one! LOL!)!!! Would reccomend this to anyone to stay! Comfty furniture, screen porch was great, and everything we needed was there! Would rent again!

My 3 sisters and I get together once a year for a "no husbands, kids, or pets", sisters getaway. This year we chose Kiawah Island and Sparrow Pond! We had an absolutely wonderful time! The cottage was clean and roomy with plenty for us to do. (When not giggling ourselves silly!) There were board games and decks of cards for those late night gab fests! Every kind of utensil you'd ever need. Of course there were TV's and videos, but we didn't use them. We seemed to entertain ourselves! The paved walkway is right behind the cottage. We took a quick walk to the beach from the community pool, (which was heated perfectly for October!) Lots of lighting for those late night returns. We were right on the pond and saw white herons or egrets, while dining on the screened porch, or having a cocktail on the outside deck! You'll have to try this lovely cottage. The owners and staff are top notch! We would definitely go back there again!
Recommended for:Girls getaway, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, age 55+.

Our family has been coming to Kiawah Island since 1999. We have stayed in eight other rentals. When we stayed here at Sparrow Pond, wow, we were sold! We have never rented any other place since finding this cottage. Where do I begin? First of all the cottage is very well kept and clean. The decor is very cozy and comfortable. There is room for 2 families in this cottage! The deck is a piece of Heaven with the lovely lagoon view and many species of animals you may find right in your own back yard! We awoke several mornings to deer standing out back to say "good morning!" The deck has a great pub table that is very comfortabel for cooking out out, playing cards or just relaxing. The screened in porch offers a tv so the guys can watch the golf game or some football while relaxing too! It is located in a private corner space and is so peaceful. I cannot say enough about this place and getting to the beach is a breeze, just take a short walk and you are there in no time! You will never rent any place else once you experience Sparrow Pond! There is plenty to do on the island and at the Freshfields Village which is located just as you come on the island. There are restaurants, a great coffee shop, specialty stores and a supermarket that is out of the ordinary! Of course Charleston is nearby with hundreds of shops and restaurants as well. You can't go wrong here folks! Whether it's your family, girls/guys weekend or a romantic get away, this palce is perfect!

We have stayed here several times, and plan to keep returning every year. We meet our children and grandchildren here. The owners have grandchildren, have it furnished wonderfully for families, and keep it as they want it for their own use. It is ideal for rest and relaxation. You are not in sight or sound of the ocean, but there is a quiet lagoon, the walking-bicycle trail is at the back door, and you can be at the beach in no time.
