One of the nicest available accommodations we have come across during our stay in the Santa Teresa area. The location is perfect; close enough to grocery and surf shops, restaurants, etc. yet remotely located from the main road. Literally steps from the beach! Kathy is a pleasure to deal with. Please read Kathy's 'what to bring' recommendations on the website but we were delighted to discover that all basic imaginable needs for a short-term vacation rental were available. The house is very well equipped with quality appliances, furniture and household needs. The attention to details is very impressive. Whether your intentions are to spend most of your stay outdoors, cook up some delicious feasts or enjoy relaxing on the beachfront porch, this place will provide excellent accommodations. Yammy and Chomba are on premise most of the day and are very helpful and friendly. We frequently requested their assistance with recommendations and even a ride to the medical center after sustaining a minor injury during one of our many surfing sessions. It's a big advantage to be able to interact with these trustful locals. The house is not visible from the road and is equipped with an electronic gate and alarm system. A huge plus which provides comfort and safety. Pure quality and worth every penny! I hope we are fortunate enough to be back soon!
Owner response:Thanks for your praise. I try to always improve the house and contents, anticipate what my guests will need to fully enjoy their time in Santa Teresa. I agree, Yammy and Chompa are just plain wonderful. I'm pleased that you had a good time and hope you become one of my many return guests.

This was our second visit to the Santa Teresa area, and this house was the perfect place to stay. The photos do not do it justice; just an absolutely first class experience. The 12 second walk to the beach in the morning to watch the surfers; feeding the kids (iguanas) from the deck; having the options to fix meals/snacks at any time, watch a video, or take a nap. The area has several great eating establishments; the food is diverse, and of gourmet quality. The local information provided by Kathy is extremely helpful (and a very good read). We did a zip line, and snorkled at Tortuga Island. Perhaps the best part is meeting so many friendly people from all over the world. The smiles and positive vibes are a constant. An annual return to Beachsong is mandatory!!!
Owner response:Perfection!!! Ahhhh shucks ...... I think so too. Glad you enjoyed yourselves so thoroughly at Beachsong, you are welcome back anytime. Thanks for the photos, I now have a face for your name, I feel as though I know you now after all the correspondence. Everyone, an applause to Jeff for giving me the push I needed to install my awesome internet connectivity!!!

The perfect home for a relaxing and restful vacation in the sun. The house is 5 star with 2 large master bedrooms/bathrooms. A large living, dining and kitchen. The backyard patio overlooks the yard with beach ocean views. The beach is clean and spacious. The grounds are well kept with hospitable hosts available when and if needed. Amazing areas to explore; from the mountains to the small villages. We surfed, snorkled, swam, hiked, walked, and relaxed. Ejoyed the wildlife and meeting the monkeys, squirrles, iguanas, birds and hermit crabs. People from all over the world visit these beaches, yet the beaches are not crowded. If you're looking for a private retreat...this is it!
Owner response:I'm so happy you enjoyed the house and beach, sounds like you did everything with the information I gave you.

We stayed at this house for the first week of November and had an amazing time. The house is set up perfectly, and the location is simply stunning. Kathy is an excellent host, providing us with lots of great information before we arrived and during our time there. The information book at the house is also a great resource. It was so nice to be right on the beach with the surf break right out front. This truly is a paradise location! Many thanks again Kathy. Stephen and Kara - Vancouver, BC
Owner response:I'm so happy you had a great time in the place that I love, hope you will come back again and bring your friends.

My family and I traveled to Tamarindo Beach for the first week of our vacation, then we drove to Beachsong at Santa Teresa. I wanted to be able to surf out my front door. This house was perfect, the surfing was right there in front of the house, and there were waves when I arrived and lasted almost the whole week. I recommend Santa Teresa over Tamarindo hands down. It rained some days in the afternoon and night, but the house was a great haven. It was just as comfortable as any home back in the states, you don't have to sacrifice comfort for waves here. Reserving the house was not complicated, and there is a great guide book put together by Kathy, it told us a lot of things we would have missed with out it. I recommend this as a great vacation home in Costa Rica.
Owner response:Thank you Surf Family, so glad you enjoyed the waves and house. Quite often I get a "Wow! a real house" when people first enter the house, it is especially comfy in the green season. My info book just keeps growing and growing, as more tours, stores and restaurants open.

What can we say other than what's been previously mentioned?.. our first time to this area of the country, Beautiful, the drive from Liberia an adventure in itself! I did find it to be a vacation of choice and choices. Exploring a number of well recommended local restaraunts or choosing to cook for yourselves in an extremely well-equipped kitchen...Baking in the sun on your own beach or escaping the heat to a cool modern beach house. Peaceful snorkling in the tidal pool, deep sea fishing, boogie boarding or sufing out the front door, horseback riding, all local. Busy as you want to be. We didn't have time to check out any ecotourism have done it before and just as happy with what the property provided, monkeys, iguanas, beautiful birds, and lucky for me, no snakes. The house had everything we were looking for safe, classy, sure to please. I found A/C essential at this time of year. Make sure you read the helpful "where to" guide and nice to have the very helpful caretakers. Worth the trip, next time we'll stay longer!

Carm & I stayed at Beachsong in the 3rd wk of April. Sunny each day & clear starry nites. The house was very comfortable, safe and private. We had a ball exploring the coast on foot and car. Excellent tips on the local scene, found at the house. Lots of great eating out options. Local folks very friendly. Beach and surf were marvelous. Owner very easy to work with & Caretakers helpful & inobtrusive. We will be back.

Stayed for a surfing getaway in the spring. Loved it, whole house is air conditioned and comfortable. Loved that you could hear the waves at night and wake with a view of them in the morning. Very private, felt like a home away from home. Best of all you could just grab the surfboards off the porch and walk to the waves in front of the house. Highly recommended!!

We stayed for almost three weeks early in 2007. It was terrific, probably the best holiday I have ever had. We snorkled, swam, walked the beach and relaxed under the trees. Did a couple of day fishing trips from Mal Pais, quite a blast. The sunsets were unbelievable - every day!! I will definitely be back.

I stayed at Beachsong 2 years ago and loved it. Everyone talks about beautiful ocean breezes, what they don't say is that the breeze is 100 degrees. The whole house is fully air-conditioned so you can recharge in the cool, not just AC in the bedrooms like some places we visited. There is a coconut grove on the property next to the house and on the other side the closest house is about 1000 feet away, and the road is 600 feet away, so it really is private. My favorite was just walking to the bench on the beach in my PJ's with my coffee in the morning.

I have visited this house several times at it remains far and above all other spots we have stayed in over the years in Santa Teresa. It is a stones throw from the best beach I've ever known; it isn't in the middle of the village but is close enough to for services and fun; the building and grounds are beautiful, natural, private and very relaxing. We always hate to leave and start thinking about our return on the trip home. Can't say enough about the place but I should add the owners and helpers are as friendly a group as you'll ever want to meet...t.o.d.
