This wonderful get-away in the Outer Banks is conveniently located just a short walk (125 yards) from the beach. It is in the heart of Kill Devil Hills which is also the home of the Wright Brother's Monument. It is only a short drive from Jockey's Ridge and the Outlets, as well as walking distance from multiple restaurants, surf shops and quaint stores.
Barefootin' is a two level duplex . Each level has 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms as well as a family room and a full sized kitchen. It is equipped with a total of five televisions, two DVD players, DVD library, two game systems, and beach chairs. A basketball court and grill are also available for your convenience. An advantage of renting Barefootin' is that the units can easily accommodate two families. It is also one of the few homes that can be rented for less than a week-( 3 or 4 nights). Also, linens for the beds and towels are complimentary with the rental.(We do not provide beach towels, however.)
This is the ideal choice for two families vacationing together. It allows privacy but in close proximity to each other. The lower level has beautiful tile floors with throw rugs in each room for comfort. It is decorated with a 'beachy' flare. The den has a comfortable pull out sofa and large television with DVD player. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you should need including a coffee pot and microwave. The master bedroom is very large and has a queen size bed, television and private bathroom with shower. The second bedroom has a double bed and the third has a bunk bed with television and game system. Outside there is a small patio to enjoy the ocean breezes on in the rear of the house and an outside swing on the front of the house!
The upper level has new wall to wall carpet throughout except the kitchen and bathrooms. It has a roomy den with two sofas, a flat screen television set, DVD player and game system. The den opens into a fully equipped kitchen with a table that seats six comfortably. The master bedroom has a queen size bed, television and a private bath. The second bedroom has two twin beds and television and the the third has a pyramid bunk bed. There are balconies on the front as well as the back to enjoy.
Barefootin' is a reasonably priced convenient get away.

Barefootin' is the perfect place to stay!!! We rented the upstairs and downstairs and it couldn't have worked out any better!! It was so nice to have so much space with the amount of people we had! All the beds were very comfortable, the house was very clean, everything we needed to cook with was there and the location couldn't have been any better! We loved our welcome basket the owners left for us too!! Denise was very fast with answering my e-mails and even let us have a late check out! We're already looking forward to renting again!! Thank you Denise for sharing your wonderful place with us!! We had an amazing time even though it was a very short stay!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Our family had wonderful week at Barefootin'! The location is perfect as it is close to the public beach access as well as restaurants and stores. Having the two separate living areas allowed our 2 families to enjoy ocean breezes on the deck in the evenings and then retire to separate quarters for much needed rest after long days in the sun. Thanks, Denise, for the welcome basket and the quick responses to all of my questions. We will definitely stay at Barefootin' again!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.

Thank you so much for your personalization-everything from your answering emails prior to our visit to the welcome gift when we arrived.We chose this house because of what I was hoping would be a good location -it worked out perfectly! We were close to the beach access and had easy on/off 158 and beach road access. We loved being able to be together with the parents but separate at the same time as my husband and I stayed upstairs with the cousins and our parents, Aunt and Uncle stayed downstairs. We were a group of 12 people, who all ran the Outer Banks half-marathon in mid November and therefore needed a place to stay over the weekend. We found this great house online, and could not have been more satisfied. The location was great, just a short walk from a beach, and grocery stores and other shopping was nearby as well. The house had everything we needed; good beds, four bathrooms total in the house, and kitchens of a good size with the utensils you need for cooking a good dinner for many people. We also were incredibly lucky with the weather - sunshine and mid 60's in mid November! All in all, we had a great long-weekend at the Outer Banks, and were very happy with our choice of house to stay in.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with young children, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

The house was exactly what we expected from the description. It was clean, cozy and kid friendly. The location is perfect! A short walk to the beach, restaurants, and shopping. The house also has beach buckets, shovels, etc. by the outdoor shower in back so you don't need to buy them! I would definitely recommend this house to others and hope to make it back myself! Oh they didn't any garbage bags so you may want to bring a few!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Thank you for welcoming us to your home-the gift bucket items were used everyday. This place is very comfortable and had everything we needed. Can't beat the location.
