What a lovely place to spend my vacation with two of my best friends. I couldn't explain how satisfied I am.I'm speechless.. The villa is located near everything. Supermarkets,Gas Stations,Fast Foods,Local bars, Dorado Beach Golf ..about 5 min drive to Cerro Gordo beach(make a right at the gate, left at the texaco gas station)..5 min Drive to Dorado Beach..(right at the gate, left at the puma gas station....I do recommend everyone to get a car rental.. even though the place is in a great location.. walking on the roads isn't as safe..so i don't recommend it...my parents own two houses near Dorado.. about 30 min from Dorado..up in the mountains, reason why I rented,..wanted to be near the beach..anyways, the house has EVERYTHING u need..ALL bedrooms are equipped with AC.. Kitchen is fully equipped...the rooftop was MY favorite.. we played dominoes, grilled and drank some refreshing adult beverages.I RECOMMEND this property in a heart beat.. Lourdes was veryyyyyy helpful..I will definitely stay here again. There was only one problem: No cable..but u don't need to watch tv if you on vacation. I RECOMMEND YOU VISIT: EL MORRO,EL YUNQUE, THE BIO BAY IN FAJARDO,CULEBRA BEACH, Thank you Lourdes. Luis,Darrick & Courtney

We had a great time in Puerto Rico, the villa was close to everything. The villa had all the necessities and the people were all polite. We would recommend this villa for family.

Stay: Dec 2011 3 weeks through New Years Eve! Great time to be in Puerto Rico.. My husband and I enjoyed our stay very much. The condo is immaculate, well equipped and clean. The kitchen had everything we needed to enjoy some meals at home. We particularly enjoyed our breakfasts on the balcony with fresh fruit, fresh local bread and Puerto Rican coffee. With the warm tropical air it was a perfect way to start each day. We usually finished our days with a drink and snacks on the roof---ahhhh...Puerto Rican Bacardi with pineapple juice or coke and we were in heaven! Sitting on the rooftop with a drink in shorts and tshirts in the pleasant warm evening air was so relaxing. The bedrooms were spacious and it was nice to have a bathroom for each of us! The price of hotels in PR is pretty high, so it was a better deal for the two of us to rent a condo, and have all that space, the kitchen, patio, roof, etc. It made it feel so much like home and relaxing than being in a hotel. After staying here, I don't think I could be confined to a small hotel room ever again! It also gave us more of a feel for Puerto Rico, going shopping at the local grocery stores and bakeries. We really enjoy the people and the flavor of the island. Most people speak English to some degree so it is easy if you don't speak Spanish. Lourdes was spot on with her directions and recommendations. She responded quickly to our questions and emails/phone calls, always professional and courteous. We would definitely rent from her again! And we'll invite friends next time, having extra space!

A large, clean, comfortable condo for a great price. It has a terrific rooftop deck, complete with grill and hammock. Lourdes is terrific to work with, very responsive to e-mails. Unit is behind security gate and there is only one opener and one assigned parking space so ask owner if you have 2 cars. I would definitely rent again and recommend to friends.

Everything was wonderful, we enjoyed the terrace and the view. Love the location and all the security guards were really nice. We had the best time exploring the beautiful places the island have to offer. We were provided all we needed to be comfortable during our stay and the fact that we had a washer and dryer was a big help. We felt very at home and enjoyed every minute of our stay. Thanks for everything! We hope to be back in a couple of years.

Just got back last week from our vacation and I have to say that we really enjoyed our time at the Condo. Lourdes was so helpful in answering all our questions and responded quickly. The condo had everything we needed and was quite comfortable. I was really surprised to see they added an additional bed in the 3rd bedroom to accommodate my 2 daughters. Only major problem we had was a leaky faucet in the kitchen, but it apparently was recently replaced as the box was still in the cabinet. I made sure to let Lourdes know and I am confident that they will have it fixed quickly. We really enjoyed the terrace up on top and would sit out there every night to enjoy the breeze, have a few cocktails and play some dominos. The home is located in a convenient location, near beaches and shops. We found her directions to be easy to follow and made it there with no problem. Be advised that unless you enjoy long walks in the Caribbean heat, you will need a car as most stores are in town a few miles east of the condos. The pool was within walking distance and we pretty much had it to ourselves. We learned that if it was locked during normal hours, just ask the security guards and they will open it, as they are just across the parking lot. Lourdes was so nice to work with and even had my daughters’ sweater shipped home at no charge to us, which was left behind on the terrace. This is the perfect place to just relax. If you typically are used to staying at a 5 star resort, you may not feel as comfortable, and you will not be catered too, but we found it to be a bargain for the price. The condo has all the amenities of a perfect vacation home and I would stay here again. I look forward to planning another trip back to the island soon!

I stayed at the condo for two weeks. The place was clean, well kept, comfortable, safe and it had personality. My family and I enjoyed the pool, the gym and the security personal was very helpful and friendly. We made new friends and I loved the beautifil road 693 that took us to Dorado Centro, to many food centers and even to a new Movie Theater. You do need a car in order to go to places in PR. I saw many bicycilists and many people jogging. As for me, I am too lazy for that. The condo has a Penn House level that views the sun setting and the nights moonlight. No mosquitoes! I loved my stay and I plan to go back soon. I truly enjoyed my experience in the Gold Villas and although I haven't gone to Puerto Rico in 28 years I felt at home and welcomed. I give this condo all the stars possible. So, plan your next vacation here you won't regret it. Lourdes, the owner is wonderful and her family and condo workers are ready to make your vacation a special one. Thank you, Lourdes for sharing your home with us. Gracias por todo, Evelyn from Brooklyn, New York

I had the great pleasure of staying in this condo the last week of March in 2009. I absolutely loved this home and would recommend it 100x over! I have been to many islands, including all of Hawaii's- and I have got say Puerto Rico beats those beaches 10x over. Not to mention the food was delicious and people were the best! This condo was awesome, it had 3 great rooms with plenty of closet space and extra blankets and pillows plus 2 good sized bathrooms. I really loved the fact that we had a super clean fridge and kitchen, stocked with plenty of cooking spices, some drinks, even some left over rum from previous guest, btw- Thanks! Having a washer and dryer with laundry soap and fabric softener was very convenient and a wonderful surprise, saved us lots of time and money. Our entire stay was perfect from beginning to end, from meeting the polite security guard to great neighbors recommending local spots to visit and the private balcony area was to die for! Not all of the condo's there had it, we felt like V.I.P's and super lucky to have this area. We used it just about every night. Perfect for playing cards, having a romantic dinner, or just hanging out, taking a nap on the hammock... The private balcony had couches, a dinning table, chairs,a hammock, bbq pit, and counter with sink! This condo gets 5 stars in my book and I can't wait to return with the entire family! TWO THUMBS WAY UP!!!!!

This was first time to look accommodation through homeaway, so I wasn't very sure about it, but communicating with Lourdes made me feel secure to book the holiday home and together we also found the suitable way to make the payment - paypal/bank transfer. To find the place was a little bit complicated, because I didn't follow the directions I got from Lourdes (I should have done that), but just inserted the address to the GPS and found myself in the wrong side of the town. Then I contacted Lourdes and followed the right directions until I reached "Golden Villas", finding the right apartment was after that quite easy. In the kitchen we found freshly-baked pastries baked by Lourdes' sister.... very delicious! Thanks again! It made us feel really welcome. The place was just perfect - master bedroom with king size bed and private bathroom (also accessible from living room) and second bedroom with queen size bed (and these wonderful mirror doors on wardrobe), bathroom just next to it and on the other side third bedroom with one bed. It was excellent for us because we had exactly 5 people. The living room-kitchen was spacious and we enjoyed cooking breakfasts and eating all together near the table. For me it was especially import that there was wireless network and I could check my work things from time to time. We had all the facilities we needed - iron, fridge, cooker, microwave oven, washing machine, dryer etc. Just like home. In the evening we sometimes grilled on the second floor - really nice place to chill out with a glass of Lambrusco. There was also a parking space for the car. We also saw the gym (seemed to be open, but we never used it) and the pool (tried to go there once, but was locked, anyway we preferred the ocean). About the places nearby: well, in Puerto Rico nobody goes anywhere without a car - that is something we learned quite quickly. There is a gas station Texaco just few hundred meters from condo, 1 km forward is small food shop and 3,4 km is really good supermarket (towards Vega Baja). If you look something really big, there his a huge hypermarket in Vega Baja (8-9 km). One of the best beaches is in Cerro Gordo, just 3-4 km from condo. About 15 km is the Vega Baja beach - only place to see the sunset on north coast. Now I'm running out of characters, so for conclusion: it was a perfect holiday home! I would come back any time and recommend it to my friends also!

Great place as a base for going out for the sights of PR or just hanging out. Great items: End condo on top floor with great breezes and windows on three sides. The deck area on top has wonderful views and the breeze 24/7. Grill, sink, hammock and nice soft chairs and sofa to sit and hang around on. I like to read books and smoke so it was a great place away from the racket downstairs with the kids. Grill steaks and stay at home or out to nice restaurants for whatever, whether fish, steakhouses or local cuisine. Tried out one of the roadside lecherias or however that is spelled. Don't know what I ate but it was very memorable (even good). Burger King, MacDonalds, Wendy's and all the American chicken places and Applebee's nearby if you need a quick safe fill in when starving. And the kids needed this on a regular basis when we were too lazy to cook. It was too cold for the beach or pool while we were there. The pool would be nice on a hot day and the beach isn't too far. Went horse riding one day and the weather was perfect. Rode along the beach and up thru some palmy areas for a couple of hours. Great for the kids (my back is killing me) but the local bar along the narrow road out back run by folks from Michigan was the top of the evening for me. Horses were in Isabella. Great place called Tropical Trails or something like that. Even got some passion fruit which is delicious and nowhere to be found anymore. 2.5 bathrooms was great. No waiting for everyone in the place to shower and shave. Washer and drier to clean up clothes as necessary. Very clean and the AC (which the kids ran in their bedrooms (not me)) was cold. Going back next time. Jack and Rebeca and kids

I had the good fortune of staying at this great condo in February. I have vacationed in a number of resorts and ‘paradors’ in Puerto Rico, but this is one of the nicest. With three bedrooms and two baths, it is quite spacious, so you and your family (or friends) won’t feel cramped. The rooftop terrace is wonderful in the evening. The breeze is incredible and completely relaxes you. The villas are located on a main street so they are easy to get to once you have learned the main roads. Cerro Gordo beach is great - AND there is another fun beach in the next town of Vega Baja with a lagoon which is great for kids! Shopping was also very convenient. Walgreens on 693 by the Embassy Suites has everything for vacationers at great prices. I plan to go back soon!
