This house and it's owners was perfect for my family of 8. We have ages 3-21. We spent the week here Monday-Sunday. We were just a very short walk from the beach. We sat on the deck at all hours of the day and night enjoying the view and sounds of the ocean. The house had everything you could need! Movies, books, games -- even first aid. The owners made me feel so secure and were always available. My toddler, loved they Monkey room... she still asks to go see the beach house and monkey room 2 months later. My teens enjoyed the beach at night - crab hunting every night and fishing every day! I would recommend this house and neighborhood for any family or group who wants a vacation on a nice beach that isnt right in the middle of all the tourists and you just want to relax in luxury!
Owner response:We take pride in our beach home and enjoy having the opportunity help create memories with friends, family and guests. It is truly a treasure to have you stay with us! See you again next season! The Hunts

Fifteen years ago we were introduced to Treasure Island and fell in love with it. My husband and I have always loved how quiet it is there and how nice the people are so. This year we spent Spring Break with our kids in Hunt's Treasure and had the best time! We felt so at home there! It is the best place we have stayed ... EVER! :) Thank you so much for a wonderful week! The house is well organized, Very Clean, and has just about everything you can think of! We can't wait to stay there again! Thank you so much! Just a note to say THANK YOU so much for opening up your beach house to my family! It was a first for us and all the kids being grown up with children of their own, we had never attempted a mini-vacation together. The house was like a home away from home for us, with EXTRA'S! The daughters loved the back deck area for sun-bathing (got sunburned of course), the grand-daughters shared and enjoyed the kids books & toys, long naps in the cool & comfy monkey room. I just adored cooking in the kitchen & sitting talking at the island in the kitchen. Spent a lot of time on the deck in the lounge chair just relaxing & catching up on some reading, the breeze was great & so was the music (loved the outdoor sound-system). Quiet & calm community. Shell hunting w/buckets & shovels, floating in tubes & the kids got to see a washed-up Manaray the size of Dallas! A great short stroll to the beach. Again, thank you so much for adding to a wonderful Memorial mini-vacation. We will be back & recommend your wonderful home to some of our close friends. Pat, we had a blast! Big kitchen made big meals a snap- we caught 2 huge red drum and had one heck of a fish fry. The large bbq pit made fajitas a breeze also and The kids just loved crab hunting at night!!

Take two wonderful hosts and one wonderful cleaning service and blend well with generous amounts of 5-star amenities, and bake on the private island-like sands of Treasure island. The result is the realization that you never have to look for another beach rental. If we had a choice to check something other than "Positive comment", we would. "Supreme" would be more accurate.

Hunt's Treasure was a wonderful place to spend a week relaxing on the porch or wandering the beach. It seemed more like home than a vacation house, with a well-equipped kitchen and other home-like amenities. The wind kept the mosquitoes away for reading on the porch, but made surf fishing difficult. Our teenage grandson even allowed that it was a great place to veg. The cares of the world seemed a long way away.

I've stayed at many of the houses in Treasure Island, and Hunt's Treasure is the best! The house is extremely well maintained, with the best amenities. We will return!

I echo the last comment - "well equipped" doesn't compute if you've rented through other rental agencies here before. I bought trash bags, dishwashing and laundry detergent, plastic plates, paper napkins, paper towels and toilet paper for the trip, all of which I took home with me unopened! My husband is now demanding we add a lava lamp to our home decor, and I'm looking for the Monkey Room's fun shade of paint for our weekend house! In short (or long), we LOVED this house! Do bring the bug spray, especially if the weather has been wet before your arrival, but the accommodations could not be nicer. Thank you, Pat and Doug, see you next year! The pictures simply do NOT do this place justice! When they say it's new, it's new -- and it's well-equipped, too. I mean, they've got toothpicks. And seasoning salt. And plenty of plastic plates for the kiddos. And soap for the dishwasher. And candles for if the power goes out. It's as if the place was honestly built to be a vacation HOME...not merely a rental. Favorite aspects, aside from how well equipped it is: our daughter *loved* the Monkey Room...and the lava lamp; the Little Dude loved crawling around the covered deck; Mama liked the kitchen; Daddy thought running Ubuntu Linux on the house computer was a nice touch. The place is great for kids; it's not just kid-safe, it's kid-friendly. The covered deck means that we can all be outside even in the worst weather -- in fact, it's cooler and very pleasant out there even during the most wicked rain storms. The beach is nice. Perhaps a bit more brown and not quite as lively as some places we've been on the other side of the Pass, but it's very pleasant. Bring bug spray. We got munched after the storms during the walk to the beach. No bugs on the beach or the deck, though! Daddy found the surf fishing slow, but wade fishing on the backside in Christmas Bay was fantastic -- and very close. We'll be back! Thanks much....

Thank you for sharing your sweet escape...these are a few of our favorite things: Dad-no schedule, the girls-sun bathing, the boys-fishing and the youngest-going to the beach everyday!!! Oh, and the porch, the view and the tunes! (beach on three sides WOW!)

We enjoyed every minute of our stay! The favorite part was eating our meals on the deck, enjoying the cool sea breeze. The kids LOVED the monkey room! Everything was just perfect! Thank you both! Fishing was a blast as well!!! P.S. Pay attention to the sunblock comment from one of your first guest.
