Marblehead house description
Your haven from Boston, is just a 16 mile drive northeast, along the shore. Park your car and your cares, as you savor your view of Marblehead's harbor, filled with yachts, sharing the waters with the sailboats and lobster boats, as they have for years.
You can walk out the front door and stroll back in time, through the 17th. and 18th. century neighborhoods, rich in history, filled with gracious homes, welcoming merchants in their diverse shops--delightful restaurants abound, Even the grocery store is a short walk!
Be sure to visit Abbott Hall, with the original painting of "The Spirit of '76", or the King Hooper Mansion and the Lee Mansion, where local artists have contributed their works.
Of course Crocker Park, being so close, beckons you for picnicking, swimming and fishing. Don't miss the views from Fort Sewall or Burial Hill. Activities abound, be sure to take in the week long Festival of Arts.
You're welcomed into a cozy foyer, with a beautifully spindled stair case on your right, and a cozy living room with a working wood fireplace and suitable antique furnishings is on your left.Adjacent is an inviting antique wood paneled dining room with a large table,a comfortable banquette and dining chairs along with great views of antique homes in the neighborhood. Beyond the dining room is a large sized powder room and an eat in kitchen, stocked with all of the essentials.
Up the stairs to the second level, you're delightfully surprised by the "fit for a king", queen-sized, Ralph Lauren Master Bedroom Suite, including a dressing room with a trundle bed and spacious bath complete with a dressing table and washer/dryer. There is also another bedroom which overlooks the Boston Yacht Club. This bedroom is furnished with trundle beds which can be used as two twin beds or a king size bed.
It gets even better..... The third floor can be used as a retreat or a separate living apace. It is a "wide open space" with a large family room complete with a kitchen, large round dining table and mesmerizing views of Marblehead Harbor. Next to the family room is a great bedroom with a queen bed, large closets and a large bathroom, also with a harbor view.
Ahhh, but don't stop here, do venture up to the roof top deck where you can sunbath and enjoy a magnificent view of Marblehead harbor.. it will really take your breath away...and all of your resistance to go anywhere else!

Two thumbs up!!!
Two thumbs up!!!
Location, location, location. What a way to experience Marblehead for the month of June. Home was historically cozy/charming, yet spacious; the yard was a treat to enjoy (my son and dog loved the space); just a hop, skip and jump to shops, restaurants, harbor, Crocker Park, grocery store. Eating in the dining room feels like you are in the Captain's quarters on an old ship - very fun with takeout steamed lobster from Marblehead Lobster Company. Neighbors were incredible, too - very friendly and helpful! Eileen and Kelly (owner and property manager) are the best to work with...so flexible and accomodating! My toddler accidentally broke a window pane, and Kelly fixed it promptly! Beds and linens were very comfortable! As a former flight attendant who has traveled all over the world, I am impressed with this wonderfully historic property!
