Crested Butte house description
Come enjoy the newest luxury retreat on Mt. Crested Butte. This elegant four bedroom retreat, newly completed, is located on the edge of the Gunnison National Forest boundary, on the North side of the Butte, providing sweeping views of East River and the great, fronting wall of the Elk Mountains.
The house is in the Wildhorse community on the edge of the East River Valley, close enough for you to get out and enjoy the restaurants, shops, and nightlife of historic Crested Butte, and remote enough to enjoy a quiet night beneath the stars (the Milky Way visible on clear nights) with family and friends. While away from the noise and crowds of the ski resort center, the Goldlink chairlift, a ten-minute walk from your doorstep, provides unique ski-in, ski-out access to the slopes.
The home itself includes a jetted tub in the master bedroom to soothe and relax, stone showers in all four bathrooms, fully equipped kitchen with utensils and cooking equipment, a home theatre system with a LCD TV, cable access, and DVD collection, a stone fireplace, and wireless internet, so you can relax and also stay connected.
(The home may also be equipped and serviced for a management retreat, upon request. Please contact us for details.)

This is a beautiful home in a breathtaking, peaceful setting off of Gothic. We found it to be much larger than anticipated, and wonderfully outfitted. We each got some decor ideas, and while we didn't get to dip into the film selection already in-house, we all give the thumbs up to the selection (I recommend adding Firefly to the collection for your own enjoyment, fyi ;)). More than enough room for 2 couples or a couple families, and privacy for everyone. The owners were pleasant to deal with, the price was perfect. The whole experience was fantastic. Thanks for sharing your retreat with us!

We just came back from a week in this beautiful house for the opening of the 2012 ski season. The home is designer decorated yet very practical and perfect for a short or long trip with children young & old. Four outstanding bedrooms with luxurious private baths, two with comfortable king beds, two with 2 single beds with further slide-outs to easily sleep 12. There are also two baby beds. The views are breath-taking and two ski lifts in walking distance. With sufficient snow it is possible to ski all the way to the house. There are four TVs, all with DVD. We recommend this great house to anyone and the owners and local manager are wonderful to work with.

What a great place to create a special Christmas memory. The Gold Link lift was literally minutes away. It snowed over a foot during our stay, the skiing was perfect! The home was spacious and comfortable, the mountainscapes were remarkable. The accommodations were over-the-top! If you can find availability, snag it immediately. You will have no regrets.

We spent almost a week in this gorgeous home in October 2009 with another family (total of 4 adults and 4 kids). The house is very roomy and beautifully decorated. We loved watching the weather changing out the back windows against the huge mountains behind the house. What a spectacular view and great location. The owners are so friendly and allowed us to bring our 2 well-behaved dogs so we had a great family vacation.

We love Crested Butte in the summer, and stayed here Aug.2009. We had children and grandchildren with us, and couldn't have been happier with our accomodations! The rooms in the home were all very spacious, and well-appointed. The view from the back of the house was absolutely astonishing! There was nothing behind us but mountains and a wide expanse of meadow and stream. We heard lots of widlife at night, and loved being a bit off the beaten path of the more populated mountain community. Lots to do in and around CB, with fishing, hiking, rafting of all levels, shopping, great eating, etc. We had a large family group scattered about the area for a week, and had 17 for dinner one night. All agreed that "our" house was the best by far, and couldn't take their eyes off "our"view! We were on the edge of paradise!

The House with a view
The House with a view
Our group arrived mid-october and saw the last of the beautiful fall colors, then we got to see 6 inches of snow. The living room was perfect for 7 of us to warm by the fireplace visit and play games. The kitchen was well equipped to handle our gourmet cooks needs. Every one is ready to make a return trip to this wonderful house. I will recommend it to all our friends.

We rented the house for 8 adults and 4 kids, plenty of room. The house was just beautiful, the views were stunning. We had fresh snow so wre able to see animal tracks right up to the house. The chair lift was a walkable distance from the house, but preferrd to drive to the main lodge. We did however ski right to the house at the end of the day. The house had everything that you need, and then some extras as well. The owners of the property were just lovely as well. They made it so easy. I spoke to them several times on the phone, and were always promp to return my calls. I think i may have two new best friends!!! I highly recommend this property if you want elegance, prestine beauty, and peace and quite. A+++ Happy skier,Kathryn

Truly a dream home with unbelievable location
Truly a dream home with unbelievable location
We stayed in this beautiful house with our family of six in early 2008. The house sits on a ridge with an unbelievable view. It is very comfortably and beautifully furnished (we tried to buy some of the authentic antiques!). Access to skiing is great and we have already booked to come back. Nice owners too.

About the owner: Our 4 bedroom house is nestled in the luxury subdivision of Wildhorse in Mt. Crested Butte. We wanted to make our house unique and achieved that goal with gorgeous interior decoration in French-Moroccan style. We prepared the home for our own use and as a result it is incredibly comfortable. We also included the perfect amenities to take the best advantage of the location, including Adirondack log chairs and tables on the deck and patio to best relax and take in the sweeping views of the East River and the mountains, as well as a BBQ grill for summertime use.
Why the Owner Chose Crested Butte:
We have unbelievable views and easy access to outdoor activity as we are beyond the resort area of Mt. Crested Butte. We’re located on a ridge high above the East River that borders the national forest. No houses below us down to the river or on the mountain side beyond us dot the landscape…..there is only nature. That being said, we’re also only a 3 minute drive to the resort area and a 10-15 min drive to town so we can easily access the CB restaurants, shops etc. whenever we like.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
In summer, you can access mountain biking trails from right outside you door. A couple of minutes away in Gothic there is public fishing and hiking. We are close to horseback riding and river rafting. We are also very knowledgeable about Crested Butte in general and we are glad to share our tips about great restaurants in town, where to get groceries and how to arrange activities around CB. In winter, we are a short walk to the Gold Link chairlift-a chairlift that only services the Wildhorse subdivision where we are located.
