My grown sons hadn't all been together at Christmas for three years, so we decided to rent this one in Coeur d' Alene for the whole family after reading all the reviews. We had a spectacular time. The kitchen is amazing. We enjoyed home cooked meals and sitting together in the dining area. The living room is spacious. The bedrooms were elegant. The game room downstairs was a big hit! Thank you for allowing us such a memorable time together. There is so much to do in Coeur d' Alene at Christmas!

What a comfortable stay for our two families fun for the kids, relaxing for the parents. Easy trip up to the ski hill and the center of town. We all thought the home would be easy to move in for a lifetime Merrills/Osburns

US 5 dude's mike,mike,jeff,david and chuck came out to ski, we got to 49 degrees north,schweitzer and silver mt what a great time. The guys said this was nicer than A lot of other places they have been. Hot tub was nice too, hope to see you again some time Chuck

Thank you so much for everything since our reservation came so late! The house was more than enough for two families with 3 children under 3 years old!. We certainly have to come back when it is warmer and take advantage of the BBQ and hot tub. The game room was perfect for staying in during the cold. pleanty to do nearby. We stayed at the Lakeside Retreat for one week while we were in town for an annual event with our local church group. We were so impressed with how comfortable and well-appointed the house was. The game cellar was big hit...we made some lasting memories no doubt. Everything about Coeur d'Alene was just magical...truly a piece of heaven on earth. Can't wait to get back to our special home away from home! Thank you for a truly pleasurable vacation and for allowing us to enjoy your beautiful home. We love Northern Idaho!

Wonderful house

I wanted to let you know how perfect your home was for us. We were 2 families, one with a teenager and one with 2 young girls age 6 and 8. The little girls were so excited for the hot tub and the games room. We had a couple of great BBQ dinners and were thankful to have laundry facilities. The kitchen was well stocked. The house is wonderful with all the cupboards and closets to hide things-we actually had room for all we brought and all we bought! I also wanted to compliment your finishing carpenter and decorator. My dad was a home builder for years so I notice things like trim, lighting, tile work etc. You kept the taps, light fixtures, flooring etc true to the character of the home. Well done! It really was a pleasure to stay in your cosy home. I am already looking forward to bringing other family members to Coere d'Alene in future summers. We all thought the house was in a great location you can walk to pretty much everywhere in downtown couer d'alene, the couches were comfy and we enjoyed the pool table. thanks for a great stay

We loved the Lakeside Retreat. This 3 level house had everything we could have asked for, an much more. The barbecue and jacuzzi in the backyard fenced backyard were lovely. The Sports Cellar was filled with everything we could have imagined. There was the professionally placed pool table, ping pong table insert, huge air hockey game, 4 bean bag chairs, XBox 360 with games galore, generous flatscreen, poker table with all supplies, toy chest, playpen, highchair, laundry room AND bedroom with 2 comfy beds... The WiFi was amazing and never wavered. Rare for rentals. The main floor had another large corner bedroom with a big closet. The foyer was large and kitchen equipped with lovely stainless steel appliances, lots of counter space, a work island, and breakfast nook. The dining room and adjoining livingroom with sectional coach, wireless speaker system, surround sound, 100s of channels, flatsceen, extra books and DVDs. The upstairs was separated by a door at the top of the stairs. It was a haven away from everything. There was a lovely turqouise bathroom, 2 upstairs bedrooms, big closets, dressers and extreme quiet. Peterson's grocery store was 1 block away with fresh produce that housed an Espresso booth (try their breakfast sandwich and Americano Misto with sugarfree caramel) in the parking lot, video/dvd rentals, deli, fried chicken, donuts, bank machine and liquor store. Roger's famous take-out was across the road with the best burgers, homecut fries and ice cream. Our son loved the grilled cheese sandwiches. They served sugarfree ice cream too. There was always a line-up! The location of the house was perfect for walking everywhere. We walked to town in 6-7 minutes, to the boat for the golf course, to the college grounds, walked to the gym (they welcome visitors at $10 per day), walked to dinner at Bonsai, and to the beach in less than 10 minutes everyday. The shopping was terrific in town and at the Spokane Valley Mall (20 min drive). The 4 of us had a lovely 8 days and will be back soon! Sincerely, Lorraine from Canada.

Our first reaction was WOW! what a great house. Perfect to accommodate our two families. Totally appreciate your thought fullness towards kids. We made good use of it all . What a fun place to stay.. We had a huge wedding party of 12 stay at this home. Owners left us a beautiful gift basket. We had everything we needed and more. The koscho family was here for IronMan 2008. What an awesome spot tobe able to cheer the athletes to victory-just blocks in multiple directions and we were on the course. The house is Charming and perfect for two active boys! They rotated around the Sports cellar all day long! Thank you for the "baby" in the toy chest- our 3 year old had a best friend! The stroller was a GOD SEND!

This was our first time to Coeur D Alene and our first time renting a vacation home. We were really not sure what to expect. But what a wonderful experience we had. From when we first walked in the front door and saw the commentary bottle of wine in the picnic basket on the dinning room table with fresh flowers. The kitchen was completely stocked with everything I needed right down to the spices. My kids just loved having the x box and playing it on such a large TV. The bedrooms were just beautiful. Everything with the house was just perfect. I think my favorite time was going for a walk down Sherman St with my husband. With our busy lives it was nice to come to a small town and be able to walk and talk and then go to a 5 star restaurant. This week by far has been the best vacation our family has taken in a long time. My hat is off to the owners of this house. Just a beautiful house, everything was just perfect. We will be back.
