Our home is located inside the Village on a quiet residential street, and close to everything downtown La Jolla has to offer. Great for families and children, yet accessible to all major amenities just a few blocks away--village living at its best! Just a short stroll to The Cove, Shell Beach or the Children’s Pool beach, with Wind 'n Sea Beach or La Jolla Shores being a walk. Even though you could spend a whole vacation walking to the beaches, shops and restaurants of downtown La Jolla, hop in your car for a short drive to La Jolla Shores, Torrey Pines Golf Course, or Birch Aquarium (5 min.); Sea World or Old Town (10 min.); Airport, Downtown, Baseball Park, Harbor and Bay (15 min.); San Diego Zoo, Balboa Park and Museums (15 min.); Del Mar Racetrack (15 min.); LegoLand or Carlsbad Flower Fields (25 min.); Wild Animal Park (30 Min.); Mexico (45 min.); Disneyland (90 min.); and, of course miles and miles of white sand beaches (Wind ‘n Sea, La Jolla Shores, Torrey Pines State Beach, Del Mar, Pacific Beach, Mission Beach, Ocean Beach, Blacks Beach, etc.). As a child, my family traveled to the Village of La Jolla every year for a couple of weeks to escape the Arizona heat in this magical place. After living in San Diego for many years, we have moved away from the coast, but spend the better part of the summer at this cottage with our kids. When away, we welcome your family to enjoy this small coastal community in San Diego as much as we do.
Why the Owner Chose Village of La Jolla
Our cottage is perched above the downtown area on Soledad Mountain for better than 180 degree ocean views while still being a couple blocks from the ocean and shops. La Jolla is a unique beach community with upscale ammenities not found in other areas near the ocean.

We spent our Christmas break here. The weather was perfect. There was plenty of room for the kids and nanny. Our evenings were filled with sunsets and memories. Our kids loved playing on the Wii and XBox, watching movies, doing puzzles, and building Lego. The shortcut to the Village shops across the street encouraged us to walk everywhere--to the grocery store, dinner, the beaches. We saw seals with their pups and other wild life. The modern art museum down the street was great.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children.

Perfect location looking out to the Pacific without all the cost & hassle of being beachfront. The home is slightly above the Village for North to South coastal views with a short-cut to get to the downtown area on foot. Drove to Disneyland with my two year old, but should have just stayed at the beach where she had more fun.

Loved our stay. The house was right at the edge of the shopping district of La Jolla. It was clean and well maintained. The panaramic ocean view was incredible. Walked to the beach every day! Would definately stay again.

This is a fantastic beach cottage! Beautiful views of the Ocean, and a fantastic Village location. Easy access to everything! Great for a big family, as there is lots of sleeping space. The kitchen had everything you could want. It was nice to have free WiFi, as we used it to get directions several times. I would highly recommend this condo and hope to be able to come back to it. And last but not least...the owner is great to work with.
