What a wonderful experience. My family and I had such a great time in your lovely home. So much room to spread out and relax in complete privacy. Beautiful surroundings, and for us, the proximity to the Kentucky Horse Park was a major plus. We will definitely be staying at Razor Cave the next time we visit the area.

Simply describing our experience at this most amazing piece of Heaven when we returned didn't do it justice. Our group of Auburn Tiger Tailgaters decided that Lexington was going to be our ultimate fan road trip this season, so we booked this estate for the week and it didn't disappoint. Simply put, we were in awe from the moment we pulled up to the property. There is no scenery in the country that compares to the lush farms and beautiful horses that surround this property. It has an abundance of room and amenities and is extremely spacious. This fully furnished home has everything one could need to stay comfortable and plenty of entertainment for the adults and the kids. And, oh by the way, it was a perfect "home base of operations" to plan and initiate the best college football tailgate in Lexington. The local people in the area were the finest, most gracious folks we have experienced in our extensive travels. It has all the allure of a Saturday Evening Post. And if you want to experience true serenity, just walk out the back door to the patio, have a seat while you drink your early morning coffee and just listen to the silence complimented by the distant sounds of those beautiful horses that make Lexington and the State of Kentucky so famous. I highly recommend this property to anyone interested in spending time in the Bluegrass State. All of our family and friends that made the trip this past October are still talking about our visit to Kentucky and how the Manor House at Razor Cave Farm made it the most perfect expedition we have ever taken together. To the owner, we say THANK YOU and War Eagle!!

We wanted to bring a week-long family reunion here to Lexington but couldn't imagine there would be a place we could house a crowd of us together. When I discovered the existence of Razor Cave Farm, with the Manor and the Farm House on the same property, and in this beautiful Lexington location, I couldn't believe our good fortune. Most of the visitors stayed at the farm, and all of us together -- four generations, including two brand new great-grandbabies -- fit easily in either house for group meals and joint evening activities. The visiting family members from multiple states loved it! The teens especially enjoyed the pool table and Guitar Hero, and the (extra bonus!) friendly horse in the paddock was happy to come over and let anyone pet his nose. The hammock at the "farm house" was a favorite with the younger children, but also with a nephew and his new baby. Some of the family biked around the nearby area; some enjoyed the Horse Park, Ashland, a Legends game, antiquing, a Toyota tour, and other area attractions (even the giant baseball bat in Lousiville). That's what was great about being able to bring the reunion here -- so many possibilities for everyone's varied interests. But all also made sure to go on an "expedition" to find the farm's cave (so cool, in both senses!) before they left. -- The surroundings are as scenic and restful as advertised -- and on top of that we had beautiful weather (which was, of course, out of the owner's hands!). The owner and his assistant were unfailingly helpful and patient when I had questions, and they also helped me by finding a short time between other renters when I could visit the property several days before the big event as we finalized plans. I was also impressed that the farm provided some supplies that in other rentals we've had to bring in ourselves. -- The end result was a memorable week for all the family and a real feeling of satisfaction for the organizers!

I was in search of a half way point between Michigan and Tennessee, Lexington, KY was the place, The owners were so wonderful in every way. The house is truely amazing! The kitchen is stocked with those items you forgot. They have a game table, pool table, TV's in every room, lots of DVD's for everyone (even guitar hero), comfortable beds with nice linen, and even a place for "Uncle Glenn". We threw a 50th Birthday party for my sister and everyone was more than satisfied. We hope to do this every year! We even received info from the owners on the best place to order a cake, have a spa service and dine out. Thanks SKIP! I look forward to visiting your place again next year. Laurie, from TN.

Thank you so much for a lovely time. The house made for a perfect family gathering. It means so much to have a family reunion and for all of the family to be able to stay under one roof. Because of your wonderful Kentucky farm house, our family has been afforded the opportunity to live, love and laugh together! We have reminisced fondly and created new memories that will be cherished forever. Thank you again for extending great hospitality to all of us.

Razor Cave Farm certainly exceeded our expectations! After unpacking we rested on the front porch, enjoying the wonderful breeze and the beautiful sights all around. This was a perfect spot to start all of our car trips exploring the many offerings of this area. Everyone we encountered was very hospitable. Thank you so much for your hospitality in this beautiful home!

We had a wonderful time. The children enjoyed the horses and when we woke up in the morning the first thing we saw through the bedroom window was HORSES! The cave was fun to explore and if yu take a flashlight you can see cave crickets on the ceiling!

Many, many thanks for opening your home to us. When my husband made our reservations-you told him we wouldn't want to go home-YOU WERE VERY CORRECT! As soon as we got off of I-75 onto Iron Works Pike, we thought we had died and gone to Heaven. The history, beauty and serenity of this place is awe inspiring. Waking up early in the morning and enjoying a cup of coffee on the front porch with the horses snickering at you was great! A truly magnificent sight with the early morning dew and mist clearing and the horses grazing all about. Our trip was jammed packed- too much, too little time! Seeing Churchill Downs and the museum was a walk back in history. All the years I spent watching all the Derby on TV and wondering what it was like to be there. Finally, I was sipping a Mint Julep at Churchill (and I might add "sip" is the keyword. Touring Clairborne Farm with Hap was my favorite part. A place steeped in history. For the student of thoroughbred breeding and racing history-this is the place. Even the road leading to Claiborne-renamed Secretariat way- was appropriate Finally, we toured the Horse Park. A beautiful place. all dedicated to horses. I wish we had more time to finish the Bluegrass Driving tour, unfortunately I ran out of cameras-8 to be exact. Next time we come we will have to complete it. Once again we would like to thank you for opening your home to us. Our time here was so relaxing. Bless you both.

Yours is a perfect place for a group such as ours to stay and enjoy the surrounding areas around Lexington. We had everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable. We left every morning about 8:30 and didnt't return until around 4:00 pm each day so we didn't really get to enjoy all the amenities much until the last 2 days when we took part of the days to just relax and enjoy the surroundings. Thank you for opening your house to us and we hope to be able to come again. PS we really enjoyed the bird watching and watching the horses. What a beatiful spot.

It is hard to imagine a Lexington home that would be better suited for a family to stay during a UK graduation than this. Our family assembled here from California, Nashville, Boston and Alabama. The horse country beauty was certainly spectacular and the sounds and the entertainment provided by the horses on your property and adjacent properties kept us entertained. The attention you have provide to make your home comfortable, warm and "special" in many ways were much appreciated by all. You were a pleasure to deal with and you personally helped us to honor our son.

Thank you for allowing us to rent your wonderful home. My family and I had a really great time, more so because of your home than anything we did sightseeing! We can not say enough about how well provisioned your home was and how welcomed you made us feel. We have told several of our friends about your website already!
