Costa del Sol - Malaga villa description

This 4 bedroomed villa / house, in the sought after area of Bahia de Marbella, is perfectly located for beach-lovers. A private gate from the community gives direct access to one of the best sandy beaches in the area. There are numerous golf courses nearby, with Santa Clara, Rio Real and Marbella being just a couple of minutes away. For night life and shopping, the centre of Marbella is 5 minutes drive away and Puerto Banus just a few minutes further on.
The house is fully equipped with air conditioning and wifi, and has its own private garden, making the house ideal for families. A large awning has now been added to provide shade when needed. There are also communal tropical gardens surrounding the two swimming pools. From the upper terraces, which are perfect locations for a late breakfast or an evening aperitif, there are beautiful views of the sea and the coast in one direction, and the mountains in the other.


The house: The house is arranged over three floors and has four bedrooms (one king size, two twin and a double) and four bathrooms. It comfortably accommodates 8 people. It is air conditioned (heating if required in the winter) and has marble floors throughout.
The spacious living/dining room has French windows, which lead onto a covered dining area and the private patio garden. With Wireless Internet (Broadband), TV, DVD, hi-fi and even a piano, it can really be a home from home. Both the outside and inside dining tables seat 8.
The kitchen is fully equipped, including oven, hob, refrigerator, freezer, microwave and dishwasher. There is plenty of cooking equipment, crockery, glasses and cutlery. The separate laundry area has a washing machine and space to dry clothes. Beach equipment (including deckchairs) are stored here. There is also a cloakroom and shower room on the ground floor - useful when returning from the beach.

The first floor has two twin bedrooms, a double bedroom, a bathroom and a shower room. All bedrooms have large fitted wardrobes and comfortable English-made beds. Two of the rooms lead out onto a terrace, furnished with table and chairs.

The master bedroom suite is on the top floor, and has a king size bed, fitted wardrobes in a dressing area and a large bathroom. Patio windows lead out onto a spacious terrace with breathtaking views to the mountains and, on a clear day, along the coast to Gibraltar and Africa. The terrace area (and garden) can be covered with a shade when required.

The house is professionally cleaned and all linen (including beach towels) is provided. The complex is well maintained, with tropical gardens, two pools, underground parking and a gate office with security guard. In busier periods, there is a cafe for the use of residents.

Local activities: Eating out is one of the attractions of staying here. El Mangaleta, just moments from the house is known for its seafood. Los Sardinales and Los Canos, just beyond Los Monteros Hotel, are also Spanish beach restaurants. They are both very welcoming and serve good food.

If you wish to get away from the beach, Marbella centre is approximately 5 minutes drive, and Puerto Banus 10 minutes. Both have numerous restaurants and excellent shopping.

The Canada shopping mall is 5 minutes away. It has a hypermarket, as well as many high street stores, such as Zara and Mango.

There are many nearby markets, including Marbella on Mondays and Puerto Banus on Saturdays. Tax free shopping is available in Gibraltar.

Further afield, the house is well placed for day trips to places such as Gibraltar, Granada (and the Alhambra Palace) and Ronda. Malaga, with its new Picasso museum, is also worth a visit.

                                  Bahia de Marbella is an exclusive beach side area just 5 minutes drive from the centre of Marbella town, and 10 minutes from Puerto Banus. The house itself is set on a beach front community, with its own private gate to the Los Monteros beach. The beach is perfect for relaxation or a family holiday, being sandy and with a lovely chiringuito (Spanish beach restaurant). Golfers are well catered for, with Rio Real, Marbella and Santa Clara courses within a couple of minutes drive, and numerous other courses within easy reach. The historic centres of Ronda, Gibraltar, Malaga and, of course, Granada with its Alhambra Palace provide sightseeing opportunities.

                                  Whilst the beach is just moments away, a car is recommended for easy access to supermarkets and shopping.

                                  Year Purchased: 2000

                                  About the owner: We are a family from the UK. Our children were small when we purchased the house and so we have many happy memories of sunny days on the beach. We didn't intend to let it out, but with school and work commitments we cannot visit as often as we would wish and it seemed wasteful to leave it lying empty. We have been delighted that so many families have enjoyed the house as much as we have.

                                  Why the Owner Chose Costa del Sol - Malaga:
                                  We were on an Autumn holiday in the area and thought how lovely it would be to be able to escape to our own place in the sun. We looked at many properties but the requirement to be right by the beach was difficult to meet. We had given up when a local agent mentioned this house - it was brand new but still needed fitting out. We fell in love with the Andalusian style of the community and when we saw the views from the top balcony, we knew we had found the perfect place for us!

                                  We love the fact that, out of season, we can have the beach to ourselves, but within a couple of minutes drive we have all the benefits of Marbella - the restaurants, shops... We love being able to take a bowl of cereal and cup of tea and walk through the gardens to enjoy breakfast on 'our' beach...We love the atmosphere of the beach in High Season with its chiringuito...And there s nothing to match going to sleep with the sound of the waves...
