Bear's Den is one of the favorite and most charming homes available for rental at Big Canoe. Located in the sought-after Laurel Ridge area of Big Canoe, the home provides easy access to many of the amenities available for adults and children. Just a walk down the street will take you to Lake Disharoon with beach, outdoor swimming pool, paddle boats and canoes, and the rock slide. Wonderful hiking trails are nearby that go through fern glades and lead to wonderful waterfalls. The Big Canoe fitness center offers indoor saline pool, top-of-the-line fitness equipment, indoor tennis courts, spa, sauna and much more. The Wolfscratch Country Store is just across the street to provide for basics like coffee, milk or newspapers. You can't beat the location in Big Canoe if you're visiting.
The home overlooks Wolfscratch Village of Big Canoe and also has panoramic views of the mountains and golf course and club house from the decks and many rooms in the home. On the main level you will find a large, open living area with wonderful wood walls and floors,and a stone fireplace. The dining area comfortably seats 8 people. The kitchen features granite counters, breakfast bar, pantry and nice appliances. There is a powder bath on this level along with a laundry area with full-size washer and dryer.
Upstairs, the master bedroom is a true retreat with a huge, vaulted bedroom, fireplace, and large windows to take advantage of the expansive views. The master bath has whirlpool tub, shower and double vanities. Off of the master is the 'sleeping porch' which offers a sleeper sofa.
The lower level has another spacious living area perfect for watching movies, reading or playing games. Two bedrooms(Queen bedroom and (2)Twin bedroom), each with private baths are on this level as well.
Outside, the home has a screened porch on the main level with cozy stone fireplace and teak dining table. The main level deck also provides additional area for entertaining, grilling, or simply hanging out with a book or glass of wine. There's even a deck on the lower level and a porch swing so everyone can have a place to relax and enjoy the scenery.

Please "Bear with us" as this home was not available for vacation rentals for most of 2007. Prior to that it was rented for vacation rentals and had excellent comments. Bear's Den is in great condition and ready for the season. Bear's Den is well-managed along with two other homes in the same sought-after area of Big Canoe.
