  Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us. It's much more spacious than I had expected. The rooms are large and very comfy. We were a little nervous on our first drive to the house as the roads are narrow and curvy, but it was fine. We do wish the weather had been a little warmer for our SPRING break, but we still had a nice time! The house was so well stocked with kitchen supplies, plenty of towels and they even had laundry detergent there. We appreciate all the attention to detail which made our trip that much more enjoyable. The owner had left a notebook with information and in it, she mentioned that you could go down the road to where it dead-ends for some trails, but warns that you get some good cardio exercise on the walk back - that's definitely an understatement!! There are some steep, steep climbs on the way back to the house. :)

  This gorgeous home is set in the national Pisgah forrest so you feel you own your own mountain. The mountain views majestic, the house is gorgeous, spacious and comfortable from the kitchen, to the jacuzzi in the masterbedroom to the hot tub outside! And the most wonderful part about it was the owner welcomes dogs. It has a very special feel to this home. Some of the most adventurous hikes we took started outside our drive way. And although it feels you are set far away from civilization, its only 3 miles from Blowing Rock and 4 miles to the Blue Ridge Parkway. I can't wait to plan our next trip to Tree haven. It is truly a special place.

  We had a great weekend in the home; the amenties were great. The kitchen was very well stocked and so were the bedrooms/ bathrooms. Plenty of towels and sheets for everyone! Cozy living area and a great kitchen to cook all weekend in. Hiking trails around the home were great; beautiful view of the mountains. It was a great weekend in a beautiful cabin (one of our favorites in the area yet)...only problem was the scary road leading to the house! Close your eyes and you'll be fine!!

  Treehaven exceeded our expectations and became the perfect hideaway for a Magical Christmas for our family. Our first Christmas away from home we dreamed of having a warm fire in the fireplace and a simple family retreat-we got so much more. The "pet friendly" home was immaculately clean, the linens are luxurious, the hot-tub was Oh So Heavenly, the kitchen is fully stocked with necessities and the convection oven was a nice bonus! The attention to detail is evident. The owner even had 2 Christmas trees decorated for us and all the thoughtful holiday touches were appreciated. Our family enjoyed scenic hiking in the woods, snow tubing at Ski Hawks Nest, the serenity of the location and yet being close to Blowing Rock & Boone. We will definitely be back & may make Christmas at Treehaven a new tradition! If you reading this, the photos and description don't do this home justice. The home is truly more wonderful than we expected.

  This is a quote from a column of mine that recently published in five newspapers down here. I'll try to send a hard copy to everyone about whom I wrote: "...as I write this on a chilly, rainy day nearly two months later, I realize I am not only dreaming of a white Christmas with long mountain views, but I’m missing the decadent leather sofas and magnificent stone fireplace of Treehaven, possibly the most understatedly spectacular home I’ve ever had the pleasure of enjoying. From the hot tub views of Grandfather Mountain sunsets to the tiniest whimsical details in the home itself, Treehaven is an amazing getaway. It’s gorgeous, comfortable, reasonably priced -- and pet friendly, too. I defy anyone to find anything as nice, especially in thatt neck of the woods..." To be more specific, the house is not only lovely, but well designed. Everything has a place and everything was carefully and meticulously thought out. If there is a downside -- and it doesn't bother us at all -- all the bedrooms are upstairs, which might not be to everyone's liking. The best part is you really feel like you're ouit in the wilderness, and yet Blowing Rock is less than five minutes away. We were within about 20 minutes of everything we wanted to do and see.

  Great stay with amazing views. Home is beautifully decorated and we really enjoyed the cozy fireplace and coffee on the deck each morning. We'll definitely be back!

  We had a great time during our weekend in Blowing Rock and are so grateful to have been able to stay here. We had everything we needed in the house, and the sunsets over Grandfather Mountain are spectacular!

  What a beautiful, peaceful and relaxing place. The house was warm and comfortable. We loved the location, feeling away from it all but close enough to BR to go out for a lovely dinner. Since we cooked Thanksgiving dinner, we were very pleased with the kitchen and lacked for nothing. Our favorite spot was the fabulous hot tub on the deck at night. And thank you for welcoming our dogs...they loved it as well. We were happy that we were in our all-wheel drive vehicle but the drive in is part of the charm. Thank you for sharing your place!

  Bring your clothes and book now! The owner has thought of everything you will need. Treehaven is simply incredible! Wonderful place and the weather was beautiful. Fly fishing on the Watauga in Valle Crucis was a hit with my son and husband. We will be back for sure!

  This house was not only lovely, but especially well-stocked for a long stay. The deck had a lovely view. We enjoyed the cool fresh air with windows open at night for sleeping even in August. The second bedroom is slightly small, but it does have a very comfortable bed. The master suite is gorgeous with a deck overlooking the beautiful view.

  Owner response: Mary, glad you enjoyed your stay at Treehaven--we try to keep the house well stocked and ready for each guest, no matter the length of their stay. And yes, turning off that AC, even during August, lets you enjoy the cool mountain night air. I guess the second bedroom is slightly small, but maybe it's just that the extra large master suite makes it seem so!
