This unit enjoys a unique outside-end location, providing a more panoramic view, and less vehicular activity than other one bdrms in the facility. The extra large porch provides for ocean viewing from BOTH your bedroom and living room. Finally, it is the closest unit in the Sand Dollar facility to the dive shop, pier, and small sandy beach adjacent to the dive pier.

With 950 square feet, you will have all the amenities of home and a location second to none; steps from the beautiful turquoise blue Caribbean waters and Bari Reef, ranked number one in the Caribbean for variety of fish species.

On-site are restaurants, a pool, convenience store, ice cream shop, internet access, cell phone rentals, tennis courts, and grills.

Next door is Bonaire Dive & Adventure, a full service PADI Dive center featuring shore diving on famous Bari reef, boat departures 3 times daily, gear rental, and all levels of dive instruction. The center also offers a host of eco-adventures to take advantage of Bonaire's exceptional above-water attractions, including snorkel trips, mountain bike and kayak excursions, cave exploration, nature tours and bird watching.

Last but not least is the windsurfing for all skill levels at beautiful Lac Bay, and the exotic 14,000 acre Washington-Slaagbai National Park in northern Bonaire.

On February 12, 2008, the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) designated the coral reefs of Bonaire as the most pristine in the Caribbean.

  • We had a great time in Bonaire and your condo contributed greatly to our fun. It has a great location! We snorkeled several times right outside our front porch at Bari Reef. Having the porch is great. One can enjoy "being outside" without being in the sun or the rain showers. The kitchen was great, we made our breakfasts and put together lunches to take along on our treks. One day we kayaked to Klein Bonaire and the snorkeling was fantastic there. We also kayaked and snorkeled in the mangroves, another great experience. I would highly recommend Bonaire to anyone who likes snorkeling and/or scuba diving, and if they go definitely check out your condo. It was great.

  • A-1 is the closest to ocean front you can get. Listening to the waves at night is magical. Watching the sunsets from your own screened porch amazing.

  • This is our 12th trip to Bonaire. Sanddollar is consistently relaxing, secure, centrally located for easy access to the northern dive sites, and close to restaurants, grocery store, etc. Unit A-1 is as close to Bari reef, the dive and photo shop as you can get, as offers a convenient 1st floor location.

  • Our stay in your apartment was outstanding, as you may have noticed, judging from our decision to extend it! Excellent location, very nice and functional furniture, and in a very pleasant condominium. It truly seems to be a place you prepared for yourself and that you occasionally rent to others.

  • Perfectly enjoyable and comfortable condo on the water. 30 paces to dive shop and to the restaurant. Quiet and extremely well maintained. Our best vacation ever. We have traveled extensively, but it is difficult to find such a special place. Don't forget to say hi to the iguanas on the beach for us!

No need to be concerned about the noise,either.The porch is large,and it is so nice to get into your gear in the convenience of your own space and comfortably walk a few steps to the dock.Have stayed in other units at this property, and have felt like a roasted sausage by the time I reached the dock. This is by far the most convenient condo at the Sand Dollar. Would highly recommend this unit. Happy diving, Sher

  • We have stayed at Sand Dollar condo A-1 about 7 times in the last 4 years. Previously we stayed at 3 other condos at Sand Dollar but strongly prefer A-1 for location, attractive decor, and screen porch. Having had plenty of time to check out most of the hotel and condo accomodations on Bonaire, we feel this condo is the best of all! It is our "home away from home" for our two week dive trip. The condo is conveniently located. It is the closest condo to Bonaire Dive & Adventure - just put on your dive gear and walk 50 steps to the end of the pier and take a giant stride into the best dive reef on Bonaire! Next door is a great restaurant and an ice cream shop, gift shop, small grocery and bank (with a money network machine) are on the adjacent property - a very short walk away. The decor includes lots of bright colors and provides a friendly atmosphere. The furnished screen porch overlooking the ocean is fantastic. It comes complete with "sugar" birds which visit the bushes outside the porch throughout the day if you put some sugar out in a small container. We already have reservations for A-1 for our next trip in the late fall & are so looking forward to being there once again!!
