Enter the Lower-Bottom Level into a cozy den with fireplace, TV/DVD and Bose surround sound system. Also, a full size bedroom and bath on this level - great for the kids, decorated with safari animals.

The Main/Middle Level has beautiful hardwood floors, living, dining & kitchen open living area with TV, stacked stone gas fireplace. Comfy sofas to enjoy the fire or the beautiful natural setting from the wall of windows. Also a deck complete with chairs and outside dining table. Full kitchen-granite counters, washer/dryer room. This level has 2 Queen Bedrooms which share a full hall bathroom. Both bedrooms have doors out to the covered deck with 6 person hot tub. Also a large stainless steel gas grill w/prep sink on this back deck, also can be accessed from the side kitchen door.

Top/Upper Level has a wonderful seating loft with yet another stone fireplace, cozy sectional sofa-perfect for reading or watching TV. You will find 2 luxurious King bedrooms each with private deck or balcony, a large bathroom that has a jacuzzi tub and separate shower. The back deck leads to a picturesque wooded view with a hammock for that afternoon nap !

We offer quality bedding, linens, towels and all amenities..Just bring yourself and a steak for the gas grill.. Pet Friendly (Dogs only) Dog-Friendly with approval and a fee - please call or email for info and rates.

When we reach the famous "Fred's General Mercantile Store" (our old fashioned general store on Beech Mtn)we feel as if a weight is lifted and we can breathe the fresh Blue Ridge Mountain air and relax! Beech is a hideaway, a well kept secret vacation town in an uncrowded atmosphere - like Fred's Store - it's a step back in time!

  • In the summer of 2009, during one of our 100+ degree days, my best friend from college and our families decided we wanted to go to NC after Christmas and hopefully see a little snow. We began searching websites for a rental that was large enough for both families to sleep and roomy enough not to get on each other’s nerves. We knew we wanted to be near the ski slopes so we could at least see man made snow but have enough to do inside of the home just in case it was too cold for our Florida blood. From the moment we saw the pictures of this gorgeous home we knew we had found our vacation “castle”. The owner’s, Cheryl and Roger Gilliam, were fabulous to work with and this vacation far exceeded our expectations. The home is everything the pictures show and more, it is beautifully decorated with every possible amenity you could imagine and has a warmth about it that makes you feel at home. The location is ideal for winter activities, skiing, sledding, ice-skating, etc. We were blessed to have more than 3 feet of fresh snow while we were there and the owners provided two sleds that allowed us to enjoy every waking moment playing outside this home and around the neighborhood. After playing outside all day their hot-tub was the ice cream on the cake. It was invigorating soaking in the hot tub with snow surrounding us but also a little surreal realizing we were not freezing. We will definitely come again and would recommend this home to everyone we know. This was, by far, one of our best vacations we have all had together and we thank the Gilliam’s for everything.

  • The only thing higher in Beech Moutain is the level of luxury and class this home offers. We were in the area for road cycling and the area exceeded expectations and to come home to such a comforting home always made that last climb doable. We'll be back!

From the inside to the outside, the decorations and attention to detail make you feel pampered and ready to enjoy everything the mountains have to offer. Only two regrets, not getting there earlier...and having to go home.
