Part of the Westin Resort, with 1/4 acre swimming pool, fabulous beach, lighted tennis courts, fitness center, full service spa, pool and ocean restaurants, fine dining, kids activities, teen center, the works.
New villa, just opened in 2008! Over 1,200 square feet. Beautifully and richly appointed, elegant furnishings, stone finishes, granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, 2 balconies. King bed in master bedroom with private balcony, 2 double beds in second bedroom, convertible sofa in living room. Private balcony in living room as well, looking out over the ocean. The best of both worlds - a magnificent private apartment combined with all the amenities of a magnificent resort. Perfect for 1 or 2 families or couples.
Minutes from Cruz Bay, St. John's spirited main town. Lots and lots of restaurants, from lively open-air pubs and family restaurants to sophisticated dining options, yet all with a casual ambiance. Fine dining to match anything America has to offer. Yet nothing is stuffy on this island.
And St. John itself -- a Caribbean Island unspoiled by the march of time. With almost 3/4 of the island as a National Park, you can explore gorgeous, pristine beaches with clear, white sand crystal water, untouched by development. Hike up mountains, or walk to the centuries-old ruins of an abandoned sugar plantation. This is the Caribbean as it used to be, that can't be found anymore anywhere else. Find a deserted national park beach of your choosing, relax on the pristine sand by turquoise waters. There is no airport on the island, and no port for cruise ships. It's unspoiled by crowds. But you can reach it easily - the Westin will pick you up at the St. Thomas airport, and whisk you by private ferry direct to the Westin's dock. Transfers couldn't be simpler!
There's fabulous snorkeling, with great reefs often right off the beaches in the National Park! Good diving opportunities as well. Or take a boat trip to the British Virgin Islands and explore the famous Baths. Or visit St. Thomas, with the Westin's private ferry that makes trips back and forth throughout the day! There are so many choices of things to do!

Why the Owner Chose Great Cruz Bay
The Westin St. John is the perfect place for a getaway -- it's secluded, on it's own private beach, yet only 5 minutes from a small but lively and authentic town with lots and lots of restaurants. The island of St. John is 75% National Park, so there's no big strip of hotels (in fact there are only 2 resorts on the entire island), or feeling of development. You can hang out at the hotel, with its private beach and hotel amenities, or take the shuttle to one of the many gorgeous, unspoiled, uncrowded (even during Christmas week) beaches in the National Park. Great hiking, snorkeling. We vacationed there for the first time in 2003, and were so blown away by the uniqueness of the place/island, we immediately bought a timeshare and have come back for vacation every year since. St. John is special because of the National Park and the strict rules that make development difficult. It really has the feeling of what the real Caribbean used to be like.
