Our family and friends had the pleasure to spend the 2013 USAFA graduation week at the Majestic Mountain Manor. The owners and their home are welcoming and comfortable. The house is well maintained and equipped with more than travelers can ask for. We had up to 15 adults with us during the stay and all were comfortably accommodated with a place to sleep, plenty of bedding and towels. The kitchen is well stocked with tools and supplies. And the extra kitchenette in the basement is very handy. There is plenty of home entertainment from games, to books to videos. The location is ideal with restaurants and parks in walking and biking distance. (Nice bikes provided.) Close to attractions and hi-way access for easy travel. The owners are very knowledgeable of the area, recommending catering, shopping, and eateries. And they are nearby, or prompt to reply to email, for assistance if need be. Even to the last day our family was saying how they loved the house. We hope to have a reason to come back to Colorado Springs and stay at the Manor!Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

We rented the house for a few days to host some family coming into town for our son's graduation from UCCS. We had a wonderful time and found the house delightful. There was plenty of room and everything was very "homey" and comfortable. All in all, we were absolutely thrilled with the house and it's furishings. Our only regret is that we couldn't stay a few more days. We hope to come for another stay and would highly reccomend the Majestic Mountain Manor! Dawn and TIm were great to work with!Recommended for: Families with young children, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

We spent two nights at Majestic Mtn. Manor with our 2 grown children and their families (3 boys = 4 years, 2 years and 10 months). Our primary activity was the Santa Express train through the Royal Gorge at Canon City. This was a perfect location to keep the boys busy at the nearby park, which offered free ice skating and there was plenty of room when we constructed a gingerbread train on the kitchen island. The central hallway provided a perfect place for the boys to play without being underfoot, but totally visible and audible. It was fun to explore the local shopping districts and our youngest grandson liked the porch swings. Our hosts were quick to respond to e-mails and provided suggestions on local activities. This home was comfortable, well maintained, with lots of space for everyone to be together or have some quiet time alone. We had a great weekend and made many happy new memories.Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

This house was such a wonderful find. It is a large, older and historic home with all the charm which goes with that... but unlike many such homes, it has been updated to include so many modern comforts and conveniences. The kitchen with eat-in area is bright and sunny with all the conveniences of a modern kitchen. The air conditioning is great. Dawn and Tim have provided for so many extras - from luggage racks and bathrobes in bedrooms, games for family fun, a great (and clean!) grill, coolers for loan etc. The house was spotlessly clean - no easy feat in a house of that age and character! They live close by and make themselves readily available if any problems arise.Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

Our family really enjoyed our time Colorado Springs, and especially at this lovely home. The house has a great location, with an easy walk into town for anything you would want to eat or drink. Also easy access to the bike trail as well as the highway for getting to Pikes Peak etc. We especially enjoyed sitting on the swings on the front porch, while our teenage son liked the comfortable TV room. The kitchen is huge, cheerful and incredibly well equipped. Plenty of room for the whole family; in fact next year we hope to come again and bring some friends.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

We had a wonderful time staying in this glorious historic home. We loved sitting on the huge old front porch in the swings. The location is excellent...walking distance to downtown. It is on a little bit of a busy street but for us, that made it even better for people watching! We had no problems and found the house to be comfortable and welcoming. The house is supplied with all essentials and even some extras like ipod docks and a very clean big gas grill. We are hoping to make this a frequent vacation spot. Thank you so much!Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

Owner info
Year Purchased: 1993
About the owner: I have lived here in Colorado Springs since 1980. This is a wonderful town with so much to see and do. We purchased this home for our personal residence and lived there for 12 years. Raising 4 children there we had too many fond memories to turn it into an apartment building or office like so many of the grand old homes of it's era. So now it is in it's glory bringing more memories to other families getting together for family reunions, weddings, business and vacations. It's size makes it great to share, but there are many private areas also. It has been fully renovated and restored and is waiting for you!
Why the Owner Chose Colorado Springs:
We love Old Downtown, and still live in this historic neighborhood. There are endless activities close. You can walk to so much, and driving from there has easy access to all parts of Colorado Springs. Because we lived in this house and there are many extra's that the normal rental does not have. We pride ourselves on attention to details. Come stay and enjoy a bit of Colorado's history.
