My family and I spent a week in July at Treetops and it was truly a great place. My kids ages 15 and 12 had a blast diving off the dock and swimming in the beautiful lake and my elderly parents loved sitting on the large deck watching the birds and nature. The fire pit was great for smores as well. Peaceful location and 10 minutes from chimney rock which was a nice excursion. The living room/dining area was our favorite place the wall of windows looking out to the deck and lake was breath taking. The lake was clear and the kayacks were so much fun. Treetops is a real gem.
Owner response:Thank you! We feel like it is a little piece of heaven.

Treetops provided us with one of the best vacations we have ever taken. The home was clean and well furnished with all the comforts of home. The quiet setting provided us with plenty of relaxation time. The Lake was private and very easy for the kids to navigate in the kayaks and jon boat. We loved sitting on the deck in the early mornings watching the birds and at night got to see our first flying squirrel! The Lake Lure area had something for everyone. We highly recommend zip lining at Canopy Ridge and hiking Chimney Rock. The staff is fantastic and it is safe fun for the whole family. Asheville was a great day trip. Being able to bring out dogs with us made the week extra special. Our only regret was not bringing the golf clubs! Thanks so much for sharing your special place with us. We made memories that will last a lifetime!

We had our first family vacation in a long time at Treetops, and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! The house was ideal for two families with young children, with two bedrooms upstairs and two down. The kids played for hours every day on the tree swing, and we all loved the kayaks and the john boat. The lake was private and peaceful -- great for fishing, swimming, and jumping from the dock. Rumbling Bald Resort was nearby, and we enjoyed many of the activities there as well. We went into Chimney Rock a couple of times, and we rode horses at Cedar Creek Stables. Everything was convenient, and people were very friendly. We would definitely go back again.
Owner response:Thank you. It is great for two families and glad you all explored all the fun. Come join us again!

Our family stayed at Treetops for a long weekend in October and had a wonderful time. It was the perfect setting, situated on a hillside for perfect views of the lake below. The home was pretty and very comfortable. It had everything we needed for our stay. We loved the views from the deck, making smores by the firepit, and fishing from the lower deck. The swings and the playroom were a big hit with my two year old daughter! It was stocked with books and toys that made her feel right at home. The description was completely accurate and the owner was very helpful. The home was clean and well maintained, and was a short driving distance to surrounding attractions. I would highly recommend this property!

We enjoyed a wonderful 5 days at Treetops and would definitely recommend this home. The house was clean and comfortable and location in a quiet location but only one mile drive to Rumbling Bald Resort. The photos accurately reflect the rental and the owner was very helpful when reserving this property. My children loved the toys and playroom but spent most of their time outdoors on the swings. My dog loved swimming in the lake. This rental was so special because of all the extra amenities- the boat, kayaks, swings, camp fire and free admission to the resort which had a lovely pool, lazy river, beach, playground, beach. We also enjoyed day trips to Chimney Rock and Sliding Rock. The weather was great and the locals very friendly.

Our experience at "TREETOPS" was good. The home has nice sized rooms and was in good condition. The outdoor "fun" was delightful, as the children, ages 7, 6, and 3 all were able to enjoy fishing, swimming and the Splash float! They also made good use of the Club's pool, minature golf, tennis courts and ice cream shop! We topped one night off with "smores".Thank you for a fun late summer stay for our family. K & L

This home was even better than described! Extremely well equipped - especially the kitchen. Wonderful linens and towels - plenty of towels for everyone, including beach towels. We really enjoyed the kayaks, sitting on the dock, and the swimming float kept our teens busy for hours. The upper covered deck was perfect even in the rain and we ate dinner outside almost every night. Played tennis and golf at Rumbling Bald resort and enjoyed yoga there as well. The owner was very helpful in answering questions and there is a lot of info on the area available right at the home. Would definitely recommend this home to others for a quiet, secluded getaway with nearby amenities like tennis, golf, and a pool.

What a wonderful, truly relaxing vacation! A beautiful place on the lake, that makes you feel at home, as soon as you enter the door. Very clean & the decor was very nice. Loved the paintings, her childrens art work, and pictures of her family. The toys were a plus,,, along with books to read, and movies to watch..... (that is if you want to come in from the outdoors) The owner was easy to communicate with, and her home was even more than we expected. This home has a beautiful view of the lake and easy path to the docks. The kayaks were new to us & we really enjoyed early mornings on the lake with them. The resort has relaxing pools, lazy river, beach & more. Chimney Rock is close by & gives a great view of the lake & surrounding mountains. We already have a friend making reservations for this summer. If your family needs a place to kick back, take your shoes off & relax. Go to this home & see what we have found in this Lit' piece of Heaven!

This place is definitely child friendly. You have everything to keep youngsters involved. We are 4 adults - myself, 2 of my adult sons and my daughter in law including dogs -- and found it to be a perfect adult spot also to read, nap, kayak, and take the time that we (really me) needed to rethink priorities. Where else can you come and find a pizza stone in the oven, Mikasa dinner ware in the cabinet, and Calphlon and Analon cookware? I didn't need to bring my own. There is a beautiful grocery store only 10 minutes away which was a surprise. You never know what the real story is about a place when you rent it over the internet --- this place became "home" immediately. You also have a library downstairs with quite an assortment of books to choose from. I feel as if everyone who has stayed here has left a touch of themselves here. Trish, I read your book. Very very well done - and will recommend it to my daughter as my grandaughter grows up.
Owner response:Thank you! We feel our home is a special place and are so glad you felt it too. It is a place for all ages to have fun, read, relax, swim, fish, reflect, and just BE!

We lover your place! The docks, boats, and fire pit were a big hit! The tree swing was great for the kids-they loved it. We loved that the house was so warm and inviting - like home away from home. The downstairs was perfect for the kids (ages 18 months, 3,4, and 6). We also had a 11 and 12 year old that loved the place as well! Thank you for letting us stay!

What a relaxing week! The children enjoyed the splash zone. We all enjoyed the birds, fishing, and cooking. We can't wait to come back again. This was our second year. Oh, we finally got a glimpse of the flying squirrels....amazing! Many thanks for sharing your home.

Thank you for allowing our family to spend time at Treetops. It was very relaxing. Our boys fished and had a great time on the kayaks. We brought our 80 year old aunt who celebrated her 81st birthday here!
