Come and experience the ultimate in peace and serenity at Misty Mountain. This rustic three bedroom log cabin is the perfect setting for a romantic getaway for just the two of you, or for a family vacation.
The cabin features a full size indoor hot tub off the master bedroom suite. The living room and kitchen areas have vaulted ceilings with a beautiful stacked stone fireplace creating a warm and cozy environment. A pool table is located in the family room on the lower level along with a television area for watching movies or playing Nintendo.
Enjoy the view from the rocking chairs on the covered porch where deer and wild turkey are frequently seen roaming below. This is also a wonderful vantage point to take in the hang gliders and paragliders over on Tater Hill. Hike to the top of the mountain ridge and enjoy nature at its finest. The cabin's wrap around deck is a favorite among guests and is the ideal place for grilling out and entertaining family and friends. Whatever you choose to do, you will never be bored at Misty Mountain!
Convenient to Boone, Blowing Rock, Mountain City and all area attractions including Grandfather Mountain, Tweetsie Railroad, Mast General Store and area ski resorts. This cabin is also quite popular among honeymooners.
Misty Mountain has paved access all the way to the driveway – 4WD is necessary in winter. This is a dog-friendly home.
Please remember 4WD or chains are always recommended when visiting the mountains in winter.

Why the Owner Chose Boone
This is a great location with big views. You can watch people hand glide off of Tater Hill while lounging on the deck. Winter is nice and this is very private yet close to town.

This place is perfect for a quick getaway from the "busyness" of daily life. Only 2.5 hours from Charlotte. You can't help, but relax when you get here. Rocking in chairs on the backporch above the treetops was fabulous. We even got to enjoy the rain out there. It sounded like we were in a rainforest. The view is beautiful. It's really peaceful and secluded, yet close to everything. Perfectly located for daytrips like hiking in state parks, tubing on lazy rivers and biking down the creeper trail
