Cozy and comfortable
Cozy and comfortable
This was the second time we rented the cabin and it felt even more like home than the first! The ground and the mountains were covered in snow, making it absolutely beautiful! The heater kept the entire cabin warm and toasty. No need for a fire. We were greeted by a buck at the end of the driveway one evening, and the next morning there were 2 bucks and 2 does in the driveway. This is the absolute best place to stay! The owner is very easy to keep in touch with and keeps his home immaculate. Beauty surrounds any way you look from the cabin. We love it here and hope to return to this place yet again in the future.

Rustic and Modern
Rustic and Modern
The cabin was immaculate, artistically decorated, had every convenience you could want and yet kept its rustic feel. Goldfinches and rabbits kept us company while sitting on the front porch. Cool mountain breezes were a delight. Extremely affordable! The owner is a wonderful person and easy to deal with. We loved this place!

This was exactly as I envisioned it.extremely nice, remote (but not too remote) exquisite mountain cabin in the Rockies. My wife and I spent 4 days here for our 25th anniversary and i did not disappoint. John was great to work with and the cabin is very clean and nice. Not too far from Royal Gorge, White water rafting and I highly recommend the Zip lining! My wife and I highly recommend!

Wow!!! What a great place to relax and unwind, my wife and I visited the cabin for a long weekend to celebrate my 40th birthday. This home matches all the definitions and was perfect for us as a couple but could easily handle 6 or more people. The seclusion aspect was really nice, the cabin isn't visible from the road or other properties. The kitchen was absolutly wonderful as we stayed in and cooked all weekend!! If you enjoy peaceful days with the sound of wind blowing through the pines or cozy evenings sitting by a fire this place is for you!!! Thanks John for sharing this place!!!!

Sorry for taking so long to do a review for this nice property. We spent 10 very pleasant evenings at this cabin. We adored the daytime views of the Sangre de Christos and star gazing after the sun went down. The few days we got to hang out there we were entertained by the twice daily visits of a turkey family, lots of birds visiting the feeders, and the occasional deer coming through. Highly recommended!

Charming, cozy, very clean, and well maintained, this cabin is true to the description and pictures. Plenty of things to do inside and out. My 4 and 5 year were happily entertained here without Internet, tv, or phone- that's hard to do these days! We enjoyed our stay very much and plan on returning. Thank you for sharing your home!

Lovely, clean, and well maintained cabin. Nicely appointed and very comfortable. Well stocked kitchen with all the basics. Washer and dryer on site are very helpful. Fantastic views off the front porch! Rugged, rocky terrain for hiking and exploring. Abundant wildlife. We enjoyed the cool evenings and the lovely breezes through the windows at night. The kitchen table is the perfect size for a game of dominoes. The beds were very comfortable. We would definitely recommend this cabin to our family and friends. Thank you for letting us enjoy your home.

This cabin was more than expected! The pictures listed don't do it justice. It was so clean, and it felt like home as soon as we walked through the door. Our grandkids loved exploring the rocks surrounding the cabin. The views were absolutely breathtaking. A great place for morning coffee is the front porch, and a great place to relax in the evening is the front porch! We did not want to leave. We hope to be able to come back again. We didn't have enough time to do all the exploring we wanted to do in the surrounding area.

Four perfect days
Four perfect days
My wife, myself, and my two young children (aged 7 and 3) have just returned home after four perfect days in this beautiful log 'cabin'. The cabin exceeded our expectations in every way possible, in spaciousness, in cleanliness, in the comforts it offered. The home was beautifully furnished and lovingly decorated, and had such a warm and friendly atmosphere to it. Even without the view outside it would have been special! The peace of the home and the surrounding landscape quickly settled into us, we relaxed and played indoors and out like kids, and we all slept sound-as-could-be every night. My children were beside themselves when the time came to leave. The only way we could ease their tears was to promise them we'd return. It wasn't a hard promise to make! We definitely will!
