Nestled in AuTrain, this all season get-away is near the snowmobile trails to anywhere, right down the road from a public access boat launch, on a main highway to either Munising or Marquette. It is a short drive to beautiful waterfalls, forests, hiking, cross country ski trails, fishing, ice fishing, downhill skiing, canoeing, scuba diving... The list goes on and on!
This three bedroom home has a master bedroom (King-size bed) with its own balcony to relax and enjoy the rolling waves of Lake Superior. Across the hall is a comfy room with a Queen-size bed and a roll-a-way bed in the closet. Downstairs is a large bedroom that accommodates four to six people on two bunk beds. It has walk-out access to the lake and a working fireplace. The kitchen/living room upstairs is spacious with a fully-equipped kitchen and a balcony to walk out, sit, and enjoy Lake Superior’s beauty and wonders.
Munising has many wonderful natural attractions. Pictured Rocks National Lake Shore, Glass Bottom Boat Wreck tours, numerous waterfalls, and hiking in the Hiawatha National Forest to name a few. Munising also provides pontoon rentals, snowmobile rentals, scuba diving, and kayak rentals for outdoor fun. Hunters will find plenty of deer for the annual hunt. The color season is unmatched for beauty here in the Heart of the Upper Peninsula.
Au Train (two and a half miles down the road) has beautiful AuTrain Lake and canoe rentals for a trip down Au Train River. Restaurants in the area provide many wonderful meals. Included, but not limited to, is the Famous Brownstone Inn right across the street and the Dog Patch down the road in Munising. Sydney’s, Main Street Pizza, Golden Heart Chinese, Cherry Wood Lounge are some more of the many choices you will have to choose from. Local gift shops have many wonderful memories of your vacation in the Upper Peninsula and souvenirs for the friends and family back home. |
