I have stayed at this property 3 times now and thoroughly enjoyed each and every time. I love being able to drive on the beach and from this house you are less than 5 minutes away from the access. I am an avid fisherman who enjoys surf fishing and taking charters. Easy access to Oregon Inlet (30 min.) or Pirate's Cove (45 min.) to enjoy any type of charter you can imagine. The hot tub with ocean view is amazing. Sitting on anyone of the decks and watching the sunset every morning will never get old. Several great local restaurants are within walking distance. The pool table is a wonderful addition to keep the kids occupied. Having the outdoor showers is beneficial when returning back from the beach. House also has several body boards, chairs and kids toys . . . so there is less for you to have to pack. Wonderful kitchen and spacious eating areas. All of the bedrooms and bathrooms are well equipped and comforatable. Thank you again for a wonderful stay. I will be back again.

We stayed at your vacation home May 7-14 and had a wonderful time. We have four children ages 11 years – 8 months and they too had a great time. The home has plenty of rooms, lots of toys for little folks and plenty of bathrooms not to mention a wonderful view. The walk to the beach was truly across the street and over the small sandy hill. Then once on the beach it was simply amazing. The beach was clean and lovely. My father-in-law came twords the end of our stay and he too had nothing but wonderful things to say about the house and its location. Actually he liked it so much that he is in the process of trying to plan a larger family gathering in October. We look forward to renting this home again in the future as it was in a wonderful location and provided more than enough room for our growing family. Thank you for sharing your little piece of heaven with our family!

What A Great Place

We had a wonderful time at your beach house. We found it clean and very spacious. The beach was just a short walk away. We enjoyed driving to the beach access just a few miles away. We enjoyed the beach very much.The grandkids had a great time and can't wait to go back. We took the ferry boat to Ocracoke, which the grandkids just loved. The ferry boat ride was free. It was a nice break from the beach. A very relaxing day. We look forward to renting your beach house again. Thanks for the wonderful time.

This place Sucks!

Me and my husband stayed here for a week for our honeymoon. The second floor was VERY hot, and unfortunately, thats where most of the bedrooms are. The kitchen floor was nasty and sticky so when we walked on it in our flip flops, they stuck. Which gets annoying. It wasnt very clean. The couch was broken when we arrived and we got the blame for it, as well as being called a liar. We were also blamed for stains on the couch, which we didnt put there.. Another thing is the location sucks. We had drive about 30-45 mins (depending on traffic) To find stuff to do,Like shop, or eat out at a nice restaurant.. and we drove an hour to get to a movie theater.. Anyways, We will never stay at this house again. It just wasnt for us.

Owner response:In ten years of owning and operating our home for rental, this is the first time we have heard that our house sucks! We take great pride in offering our home for others to stay. Upon guest departure we have a cleaning crew that thoroughly cleans and inspects the house. When a guest checks in we encourage them to contact us if any damage or other issues are observed upon arrival. When a guest is careless or negligent in their behavior while staying at our home we will hold the security deposit until repairs are made. In ten years we have only held a security deposit one time. This is a testimony to the mature and responsible qualities of our guests and we appreciate them all. We enjoy our town of Waves because the commerciality of the area is very limited and our beautiful beach is just a five minute walk to the east. If you are looking for arcades and fast food then this location is not for you. However, if you are looking for a quiet family beach vacation that offers good food and outdoor activities within a short drive, then this is your spot.

Recommended for:Age 55+.

Best value in the Outerbanks! Almost oceanfront at a fraction of the cost. Can't wait to return!

2010 was our first trip to the Outerbanks - but it won't be our last. We were a little leary about this house because it was priced substantially lower than others in Waves - but if there's a reason for the lower pricing, we couldn't find it! This house is such a short walk to the beach - in fact, because of the location of the path over the dunes, it was actually a shorter walk than some oceanfront homes. It made our vacation SO RELAXING to be able to go back and forth to the ocean. We only got in our car once all week to go to the grocery store! We had 11 people staying - and there were comfortable accomodations for all. The kitchen is nicely equipped - and the large dining table and screened in picnic table were perfect for eating and table games. We can't wait to return this summer!

This was our family's first vaction in many years and our girls first time at the beach. Words cannot express how much we have enjoyed ourselves. The house is beautiful! So close to the beach. I can't wait until next year! this house is amazing!

We have stayed here several times and highly recommend it. The house is beautifully furnished, comfortable and offers many great amenities (our favorite is the outdoor hot tub on the second-level deck). Great views from the upper-level deck and only a short walk to the beach. For those who want a break from the beach, there are many local places of interest to check out (i.e., lighthouses, Manteo, Wright Bros. museum/monument, sand dunes, restaurants, etc.)

I was down the weekend of Oct 23-25. The house is beautiful and is just a hop, skip, jump from the water. I would recommend this home as a beach rental to my friends/family as it had everything you would need.
