While the condo is nice, centrally located (just 2 wandering blocks from the beach) and worked great for us, (4 adults and 1 child) we ran into a couple problems when we found the owners to be unresponsive to emails and phone calls i.e: bad customer service. The first of our party, who has a 2-year-old, to arrive was told they would have to wait to get into the condo, as the owners could not meet them, "until later". Later turned out to be many hours later. When they were finally let into the condo, and and our party gave the check for the damage deposit as stated in the contract, they told us it had to be cash. My friends, having not seen the contract, as I booked it, gave them the cash and returned the check to me. As stated in the contract that we signed, it was a check that was needed and would be returned within 10 days of leaving the property. Also, upon leaving we were to call them about an hour before so they could meet us in the condo to return the keys and check over everything. We called various (more than 5 times) that morning, and finally left the keys with the security guard, when we had to catch our plane and the owners had yet to answer the phone. The condo is as it looks in the pictures, was well supplied, the grocery store is a <5 minute walk, everything was clean, but all the trouble we have gone through to arrive and leave the condo has left a bad taste in our mouths.Owner response: These things happen when another person sing a contract for other people without the owners knowledge. Every person need to have the contract in their hands at check in. Check in time was 4:30 as spoke on the phone. The deposit check was a misunderstanding for not having the contract with them upon arrival.. They are lucky they got in without the authorize person being there. The couple knew nothing about the balance due scince they came as photographers for a wedding and room and board was how they were paid. The deposit was not the only problem, also with the balance due, they did not have it. In the request there is no child. Also they had another person with them to stay in the apartment. Not in the contract. He said he did not have a place to stay until the next day because his reservation was made for another date somewhere else. Hummm! I did not had a problem and made the exception. He need it another set of keys where in the contract we provide 1 set. In no way we would meet our guess to inspect the property at check out(up to14 days of departure, contract). Keys have to be left in the kitchen counter (contract). Also bacause of the 2 years old we trusted the young couple and when ahead and let them in. In the future work out all the details in a RESPONSIBLE manner. I show them the groceries gate seconds away, unless you do not know how to walk there. The gate connect from our parking lot to Pueblo, let you bring in the shopping cart to the apartment with the groceries and they pick up the carts later. No hotels have that service. Also the beach is very close ,minutes away walking distance but with a car seconds with the luck of a parking space in the street or by paying for it at the parking building next to us own by the Hotel San Juan. The walk will be as wonderfull, but more expensive. For the future the Hotels are in front of our building but cost 2 or 3 times more, if you have the budget that is better for your needs. They have no kithchen among other things and no extra people could stay. In the future do not sing in for other people and do not send extra people only because the unit is big. But thanks for your coments we will use them to improve our service by not let anybody in the property but who sing the contract. By the way about the deposit check was mailed to the wrong address as the people who check out before you, the address were mixt up. The USPS returned both envelope to us and you will received them soon.
