We had a great time staying in this cabin. It was perfect for a family of 6 -- and great if you are bringing your dog!!! It had everything we needed, was clean, comfortable and close to everything - skiing, restaurants, market, Funplex, Alpine Slide. We will definitely stay here again.

I was a first time renter of a weekend property like this, and it was a great experience! Listing was exactly as described and reflected accurately by the pictures included onthe website. The property was in great condition except for damage to the carpet that had been done by a previous tenant's pet, I was made aware of the damage and it didnt detract from my experience at all. Sherry was a pleasure to deal with and was easily accessible through email and by phone. She has the cabin stocked with all the essentials. The pool table and proximity to the Vons grocery store and Snow Summit were big hits for me and I would recommend this rental property to anyone.

We had a wonderful time in this cabin. My family & I went there for New Year's and had a wonderful time. Cabin was better than described. Very spacious & clean. with all the amenities as described and very child freindly. Sherry was awesome!!!! She was wonderful to work with and always a phone call away while we were checking in & out. Didn't need to call her for anything while we were there. Would definitly rent it again!!!!!

Don't be fooled by the pictures because the cabin looks way better in person! My friends and I had been enjoying our stay there and the owner Sherry is a wonderful person and has been very helpful to us throughout our trip. The cabin is very cleaned and neat and we have never seen a bat during our stay there. The only problem was the Wi-Fi that was not working right. Anyway at the last day of our stay we were very unfortunate to have ourselves locked out from our car and the owner was very understanding and we ended up leaving an hour later than the check out time. Thank you very much Sherry and we hope to stay at your cabin again next time when we go up to Big Bear again.

What a wonderful place to stay! Cabin is well equiped and clean,2,large bedrooms and large kitchen.Beds were super comfortable.Lots and lots of dvds,nice pool table. Cute backyard deck to sit and star gaze from.Had a little trouble with the wi-fi,called Sherry and she was right on top of things and resolved the problem. Right down the block from Snow Summit on a quiet street.Will be back! Thanks Sherry!!

My family and children come up to Big Bear Summer and Winter and the place we booked fell thru without any notice. We tried a few places and were not getting a quick response until we emailed the owner of this lovely cabin. She was very friendly and helped us out. The paperwork was minimal and she rescued our family trip. So the owner was super great and so was her cabin. The described cabin was just as we had hoped for and more. We will make this our new family retreat. Thanks for the great trip Sherry!

My family and pet went up to Big Bear for a few days. The owner was very nice and thorough. When we arrived the place was perfect with lots of nice touches just like the ad had read. It was close to everything and was pet friendly! Sherry called to make sure our stay was going well and thanks to some of her referrals on things to do we enjoyed some fun things. We will be coming back in the Winter to stay at this fantastic cabin.We will tell all of our friends to come as its a nice comfortable and very clean place!

Exceptionally clean and luxurious with personal touches throughout the house making it a very special vacation for me and my family. The owner was friendly and informative as this was our first Big Bear trip. She told us all of the fun spots and the best places to go for our pet. We were very impressed with the cabin and all the amenities. The back yard was fenced and very safe for our pet. This pet friendly property was very well maintained. The spa made for some very lovely evenings watching the stars. The pool table was enjoyed by the entire family. Thank you for a great trip!

Renters Beware - Bats, Rodents, & Smells

I had the unfortunate experience to rent this house Fri Sept 23rd 2011...First of all, the pictures on this house online look great, but the reality of the house doesn't match up. We arrived at around 7:30 p.m. on Friday where we had to turn on the water to the house and the hot water separately on our own, then we were greeted by the downstairs smell - something between an ash tray and old house smell. Lets just say if i had kids, i would be afraid to let them wonder around that carpet; however, not the end of the world and we were going to enjoy our weekend. about an hour later the Bat showed up. It bombarded us for 30 minutes or so before settling back into his living space somewhere in the house...my girlfriend was not pleased. Then we fought our way upstairs and got into the bed with sheets that feel like sandpaper and tried to retire for the night -- my girlfriend then woke up in the middle of the night b/c something was under her and itching her body...that's when she turned on the lights only to find a pile of seeds/dropping from some animal UNDER HER PILLOW! yes, under her pillow (we have the pictures)...We left immediately. Outside of the house being unsanitary (obviously) and the sheets clearly not being changed, the worst part is how we have been treated by the owner. She arrogantly defended the state of her house, and dismissed the things that happened as "small issues" that could have been remedied "with a phone call to her." yeah i'm sure at 10:30 p.m. at night, then 5 a.m. she was going to handle it. We paid a good amount per night, which is real money to us, of which she only offered a $75 refund - which we refused. She claimed a hotel would not have offered a refund for the bats, rodents living in the bed, or overall state of the house -- yeah right. She just doesn't get it and is more than willing to take peoples hard earned money without taking the responsibility to ensure she stands up to her end of the bargain by mainating a clean and sanitary rental. Overall, i'd say if you are looking to rent this house, i would not pay anything close to the listed rates - otherwise, you are probably better off staying somewhere else - i know we wished we would have.

Owner response:My response to this unfortunate incident was here is a traveller trying to take advantage and stay for a free night.The house had just been cleaned by myself and the carpets just cleaned so its clear he is making things up. A bat entered the house when he left doors open and if a bird or moth or anything flew in its unfortunate but its not anything to complain about as it doesn't detract from a trip. It is also not an owners fault if something flew in to open doors. The bats in Big Bear are also moth sized and do not bombard anyone. Housekeeping again verified by checking and of course there wasn't a bat nor were there any droppings or evidence a bat was in residence. The smell is a complete fabrication as housekeeping checked the propery before and after and so thats another falsehood. My house is non smoking and the renters 2 days later sent in a positive review that will be posted shortly without any falsehoods. I did find out a tiny chipmunk came in the house and deposit a dime size pile of stored seeds under a pillow only. As the renter did not bother calling but just left the premises it was hard to remedy that situation. My contract states to please call me and I have communicated effectively with hundreds of renters. Leaving the premises and not contacting the owner or hotel keeper without checking makes things difficult to remedy. I apologized to the renter and said housekeeping would have been glad to come by and change sheets. The sheets had been changed and were not unsanitary and flannel sheets are not scratchy another falsehood. The years of renting and previous reviews are proof that I am a very involved owner and take pride in my clean and sanitary home! Its sad when someone trys to come up and fabricate things trying to get a free stay.

We rented for the weekend and absolutely enjoyed our stay in this lovely clean spacious home. The description of it was perfect!! It was just as clean as Sherry mentioned and very organized and easy to get comfortable. Sherry was continuously communicating when we needed her and a pleasure to rent from. My family would definitely recommend this home to your family. We couldnt believe how close to everything we really were and enjoyed the snow storm that came our way. My boys were so excited that there were so many DVDs to choose from..and using a hot jacuzzi in the snow. Amazing!! Thanks Sherry...The Marcella Family

This was our first time up to Big Bear and it couldn't have been a better experience. Location was great, cabin was clean, on a private street and walking distance to Snow Summit.There was tons of info for different activities and restaurants in Big Bear, the pool table was in EXCELLENT condition and the jacuzzi was private and perfect for that couple get away. I also liked the fact that the backyard was fenced in so the pups could run around out doors. Sherry was GREAT and we definitely will stay here again! Nick and Jen

Perfect way to spend a holiday...

We spent 3 nights in Sherri's cabin over the 4th of July holiday, and had a fabulous time. The cabin was in even better condition than the photos, she has beautiful new linens and a new sectional couch downstairs that was great for lounging and relaxing after a day out at the lake. The kitchen had everything we needed, and there were instructions for everything. Sherri made it easy check in/check out process, which was great in saving time. With an 18 month old, we were concerned about a 2 story cabin, but the downstairs great room is so large and open that our little girl could care less about roaming upstairs. The master shower (specifically the shower head!) was AWESOME, lots of water pressure and full spray, very relaxing. On demand cable was great too- kids shows at our fingertips, right when we needed them. We brought our dog, who mostly napped on the deck, but he seemed to enjoy it! Thanks for everything- I'm sure we'll be back in the future!

Very Nice June Weekend

We stayed at this very nice cabin the last weekend in June. Husband, two 12 year olds and our large retriever. Great location, very nice cabin, great bathrooms, wireless internet, and TV reception on 2 of the 3 large TVs. Everything from booking to exit went smoothly. Five small problems on arrival.The pool cues all need replacing from an otherwise good pool table, there was old coffee still in the cofemaker (yuck) and stuff in the dryer, dirty dishes in the dishwasher , mediocre reception in the smaller bedroom TV and empty guest tissue boxes, paper towel racks, guest shampoo bottle, and no garbage bags was empty. Probably, more of a housecleaner issue then an owner issue. On the other hand, everything else inside was immaculate and modern. To the owners credit, she has a note that says if there is any problems call her. We were too busy having fun to call. Excellent central location, the spa really was top class, beautifully maintained and lovely at night. Fairly private too (a nearbye rental has the hot tub in the front yard). Her cabin is situated on a very nice, quiet block. Big pine trees and lots of squirrels, wonderful! There was propane in the barbecue in a nice grill. We took our Golden Retriever with us most places but other times she stayed happily in a nice, fenced in backyard. (Hint-There are trees in the backyard that shed nuts and twigs, watch your step or sweep the back deck or you might get an ouch on your way back from the spa to the inside. (Lots of towels provided for the spa and in every bathroom). We took the chairlift up the mountains, rented a pontoon boat for a lovely afternoon, alpine slide for the kids, the zoo, night at the movies and hikes in the state park. Great first time in Big Bear

We had a great stay in St.Moritz! Beds are very comfortable, kitchen has everything and we just loved playing pool! We are planning on returning sometime soon. This cabin was outstanding. The beds were comfortable, the living room was huge, the jacuzzi plays music! And the kitchen area was spacious. Best of all, walking to Snow Summit meant we could come back to the cabin for lunch and find a place to sit down! Fenced yard for dogs, too. The owner was a pleasure to correspond with. I'd recommend this in a heartbeat.

Our family had a wonderful 4 night stay at this cabin. It was clean and cozy. We could not believe the selection of DVD's. The pool table was also a great asset. Sherry was very accesible as well. She even has a binder with recommended restaurants and important phone numbers like Urgent Care, which we visited! You will not be disappointed.

We had a wonderful time for a month and the cabin is very comfortable. The beds were great after hiking for miles and miles. Sherry was great and made if very easy for us. Had my two daughters and they loved it. Loved the squirrels and it has a nice fenced in back yard for our little doggie..We will be back..

Three kids and three dogs is not necessarily a recipe for a relaxing vacation, but we had a great time. The kids were thrilled with the pool table, and Mom and Dad enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub at sunset. The neighborhood is very quiet, the cabin has everything you could need. We will definitely be back.

Sherry made this rental a dream!!! She provides a haven to relax filled with amenities and thoughtful little touches! We enjoyed every minute and look forward to returning! We were there for a R&R couples weekend during the summer and came back refreshed and feeling spoiled! We are looking forward to sharing this find with our kids in the winter... great location to town, zoo, ski!!!
