Imagine waking up every morning to a stunning view of one of the most famous churches in Paris! This two bedroom apartment is a jewel with an exceptional location in a vintage building in the heart of Saint- Germain-des Pres. Newly remodeled in 2007 with attention to every detail of authentic Parisian décor, guests will find everything they desire in this perfect Saint-Germain location.
Guests enter a foyer that opens on to a spacious living room boasts a traditional decorative fireplace and tasteful, traditional furnishings. The living and dining rooms are flooded with light from their many windows which offer panoramic views of the church and the abbey of Saint-Germain-des-Pres. The elegant separate dining room will accommodate six to eight people encouraging entertainment in true Parisian style.
The air-conditioned bedrooms will easily accommodate two to four people. The master bedroom sleeps two in a king bed which can be converted into two twins. The second bedroom provides a new queen “Murphy” bed and the living room couch converts to a new fold-out queen bed. The spacious main bathroom has two sinks, a generous marble counter, a large shower/tub and a toilet/bidet which is completely private. Another small toilet adds the necessary second option.
The separate gourmet kitchen is fully equipped with a dishwasher, washer/dryer, microwave, stove, full-size refrigerator and all other necessities.
Computer and Internet Access
A state of the art wireless system is available, accessed via Ethernet cable connection and is PC and Apple compatible. Use your laptop to conduct business or simply retrieve and send emails, book restaurant reservations or search for the latest Parisian attractions at your leisure. Our service offers unlimited phone calls to the USA and many other countries at no additional cost. Local calls are free.
When You Arrive
Upon your arrival we will personally welcome you and help you settle in. A tour of the apartment will acquaint you with the workings of all of the appliances and other equipment. We have created a “guide book” of our personal recommendations for restaurants, shops, galleries and conveniences we have found useful and enjoyable.
Location
Arguably one of the best locations in Paris, a walk around the corner takes you from the tranquility of our quiet carriage lane to the bustle of the Marche Buci neighborhood filled with cafes, cinemas, wine bars, trendy boutiques, traditional open market streets, galleries and antique shops. This chic area also has many conveniences: a full service grocery store, a newsstand, florists, candy stores and, if you want to eat at home but don’t want to cook, the neighborhood traiteurs and epiceries will provide you with the best of French take-out! Walking in the other direction takes you to the Place Furstenberg, the most sought-after address in Paris for interior designers. In addition, the apartment is a few minutes from the famous Café Flore, the Café Deux Magots and the Musee d’Orsay. A five minute walk will take you to the River Seine. Lesser known neighborhood landmarks such as the Laduree Tea Salon on Rue Jacob, Le Derniere Goutte wine shop on the ground floor of the building and the fascinating Taschen Bookstore are well worth your investigation.

5 of us stayed here for 4 nights, and it couldn't have been more enjoyable. We're all under 40 so the 3 flights of stairs were no big deal, even if I might have heard a complaint or two from those carrying extra luggage! We were all familiar with the neighborhood, but staying in a beautiful private residence together makes it that much more comfortable and entertaining for the whole group. Having a fully-equipped kitchen and formal dining room with fantastic views is quite an asset - can't wait to go back and cook a few great meals! Frank (the building manager) was very helpful and offered all necessary information clearly, including local stores, recommended bars & restaurants, etc. (go to Fish!) Great wine bar & store in the ground floor too! wifi was imperative and worked immediately & without interruption! thanks again Jose & Frank!

Everything about this apartment was magical. The location was unbeatable - listening to a choral concert happening inside St. Germaine des Pres while sitting on the sofa of the apartment. Stepping out to the lively street market of the Rue de Buci during the day and the incredible variety of some of the most renowned cafes of Paris just a few steps away at night. Our welcome could not have been better - warm, informative and friendly. The rooms were very comfortable, cheerful and beautifully decorated without being stuffy or formal. It had the unusual combination of being both charming AND clean. Keep in mind that this apartment is on the 3rd floor with no elevator (not for everyone) but it helped us work off the fantastic gelato from nearby Amorino. I am very careful when I choose an apartment from the internet and in this case it payed off royally.

So glad our guests let us know about the noisy A/C we think it was a one time occurrence and are checking into it to make certain it does not happen again to our future guests, the system is brand new. We enjoy full disclosure, hence our description states we are on the 4th floor with no elevator and that there is a WC directly outside our apartment. We enjoy disclosing all facts up front.
