The 120 square metres stonehouse, standing in the middle of an old olive yard has been recently completely restored to a very high standard maintaining the unique Tuscan style and offering every modern facilities. It has wooden ceilings, terracotta floors and thick stone walls in the old part of the house. It is tastefully furnished.

The three bedrooms have breathtaking views over the medieval hamlet of S. Andrea and over the olive yard. The terrace is ideal for relaxing and enjoying a wonderful view.
In May 2008 will be ready an above ground pool where to take a bath and refresh during hot sunny days.

On the ground floor we have a large fully-equipped kitchen/dining room, living room with fire place and satellite TV and further living room with 1 sofa and 1 sofa bed that sleeps 2 people.

First floor: 1 double bedroom and 1 twin bedded room with stunning view over the medieval hamlet, one bunk bedroom with view over the olive yard. 3 bathrooms with shower.

A great base for travelling around Tuscany or a beautiful setting to just escape and relax. Only six miles from the historic walled city of Lucca, less than 30 minutes driving to Pisa and less than 1 hour to Florence.

Within an hour of sunbathing on Versilia’s beaches. The medieval hamlet of S.Andrea di Compito is walking distance (less than 1 mile). This nice little village is very well-known for the Camellias festival in spring and for its special olive oil. The stonehouse is in the middle of an old olive yard and is therefore a very quite and relaxing retreat.

  • Perfect month in Tuscany! Sarih Vantaa, Finland Review Submitted: July 21, 2009 Date of Stay: June 2009 We spent the perfect holiday in Tuscany on June 2009. The house was very easy with little childrens. We had the little swimming pool for kids aged 1 and 2. The 4 years old loved the bigger pool. It was nice to cook while there was fresch citron and rosmarin on garden. We made most of our lunches and dinners on the house as the kitchen was so well-maintained. Anna and her husbend are very friendly and they took good care of us. Anna even gave their own olive oil for cooking. I hope we will have chance to come again! Recommended for: Families with Teenagers, Adventure Seekers, Age 55+, Sightseeing, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

  • Lucca is a beautiful and calm city. Sant' Andrea del Compito, 15 minutes from Lucca, is a beautiful and secluded village. This house, which is on top of a hill above the village, is even more secluded, even calmer, which is to say, if you want a week of calm and seclusion this is the perfect place to find it. The house is newly renovated, tastefully decorated, and very well equipped. (The kitchen knives are sharp, there are piles of glasses and forks, all the machines work.) There is a lovely terrace, a pool with a beautiful view, a tree with ripe figs -- bliss for small children and their parents.

  • A friend and I stayed 6 nights in this lovely home in Tuscany. I would highly recommend it to anyone who desires a central place to stay while taking day-trips throughout Tuscany. The home is absolutely beautiful... very private, well kept, FANTASTIC view. The owner, Anna, is delightful. She met us at the exit ramp and we followed her to the home and then she went out of her way to help us with maps, places to eat, places to purchase groceries, and even drove (with us following in our own car) to the closest grocery store to ensure we would know how to find it. She (and her home) made our trip absolutely wonderful.
