Conveniently located between the ski area (just minutes away) and the historic town of Crested Butte, this beautiful, custom-built, Lindal Cedar Home will afford you, your family, and friends a wonderful vacation experience.
The post-and-beam construction allows for a great open floor plan. Two separate eating areas accommodate the kids and grown-ups. The kitchen has a center island, gas cook top, granite counter surfaces and Kitchen Aid appliances.
We have a full office including a printer, fax, complimentary Notary and high speed internet with wireless. Just bring your laptop and you can finish up those loose ends while visiting Paradise.
Large picture windows capture the awesome views of the surrounding mountains. The great room has a large, L-shaped sofa where the family can snuggle to watch the 52-inch Samsung , high definition LCD TV next to the gas-log fireplace. For added convenience, the kid's room has an LCD TV and DVD player.
The bedrooms each have high-quality mattresses and box springs, so everyone can get a good night's sleep after a full day of fun. Bedroom 1 (Master Queen ) has a private whirlpool bath ****Bedroom 2 queen with direct access to bath ****Bedroom 3 queen with shared bath. Kid's room/4th Bedroom has *2 QUEEN and *1 KING high quality Futons.
The kitchen and laundry room are fully equipped. Extra appliances, plenty of tableware, kitchen necessities, soaps, cleaners and spices are all included. You need not buy all those extras that you normally would. Just come with groceries, or have us stock them and enjoy!
The house is conveniently located near the recreation path between the towns of Crested Butte and Mt. Crested Butte but closer to the ski area ( 3 minutes ). A scenic walk, bicycle ride or a short drive allows quick access to either town.

Why the Owner Chose Crested Butte
Crested Butte offers so much for the outdoor enthusiast. There is an incredible amount of National Forest and Wilderness within close proximity to Crested Butte. In fact, trailheads to many mountain bike and hiking trails are right out the front door of my home.
In the winter, the ski area is within view and only 3 short minutes drive from my home. You can just peek out the windows, see which lifts are running, what the skier traffic is like and hit the slopes. If you are not in the mood for lift serviced skiing, there are snowmobile trailheads nearby and a groomed cross country trail less than 300 meters away.
In the summer, several different mountain biking options are right out the door and the garage is a great place to throw a quick tune on your bike. If you are a hiker, you can walk across the street and access the recreation path that links the two towns with several hiking trails. If a scenic drive is what you are craving, take a left out of Glacier Lily Estates and drive the Gothic loop over Paradise Divide and back to the house. This is a beautiful drive and a great way to spend a day. Tennis anyone? There is a private tennis court 50 meters from the home.
There is good fishing within a mile of the house and larger rivers are less than 3 miles away. If the group is interested in rafting or kayaking, drive to Almont and enjoy a day floating the Taylor or Gunnison River. The local outfitters and guides are professional and well trained. Whether you are into whitewater, flat water or float fishing, the guides of the Gunnison Country will hook you up!
The Unique Benefits at this House
One of the most special events of the day begins when you wake up and look out one of the enormous picture windows and see the colors of the sunrise lighting the magnificent mountain peaks. The timer on the automatic coffee pot has started and the aroma of freshly brewed coffee fills the home calling you to the kitchen. As you curl up in a leather recliner with a fresh cup, reading one of the local papers, a fox strolls across the open field and you know that no matter what activities you choose for your day you won't have to fight traffic or go far to enjoy them!

Home of the Rocky Mountain Biological Laboratory. Great trailhead access for hiking, biking and horseback riding.
Brush Creek Rd is another great way to access National Forest.
Private landing strip for small planes. Want to fly into Crested Butte? I can give you permission while staying at my home!
Cement Creek Rd. is another access point to National Forest. It is also the turn that accesses Crested Butte South.
Bedding Community of Crested Butte area. It has a couple of great restaurants. Definitely worth the trip!
Another great National Forest access. Also a great short cut to and from Taylor Canyon.
State Fish Hatchery. Good fishing. They raise Kokanee salmon.
Wintering grounds for many local big game herds including elk, deer and bighorn sheep. Parking beside the highway and using binoculars you can often see many different animals on the hillsides.
The East and Taylor Rivers join to for the Gunnison River. Great fishing and boating area.
Catch and Release fishing area of the Taylor River. Don't forget to wet your hands!
Largest body of water in Colorado. Great for all water activities. State record Mackinaw was caught here.

Hello,
My name is Marc J. Solari and I have lived in Crested Butte for 16 years. I just love this place. Everything I like to do in the mountains, on the rivers and in the lakes is in close proximity and easily accessible.
Living in a small resort town, I have had an opportunity to work in several different fields. I have been a construction worker, landscaper, bartender, waiter, teacher, guide and I even worked as a distributor for wine, beer and spirits. Recently I was very fortunate to find my home located in Glacier Lily Estates. Now I am guiding and trying my hand at vacation rentals. So far it has worked out exceptionally well. Everyone that has stayed at my home has had nothing but wonderful comments and moments of disbelief as to how incredible their stay has been.
I am considering these results an immediate success, but I am not stopping there. I am constantly upgrading my home, its amenities and my abilities as a caretaker to offer the most comfortable vacation rental experience in Crested Butte.

Our second summer visit to the Lily was just as fantastic as the first. The views are stunning, the home is very comfortable and well maintained. We enjoy entertaining and the kitchen is superbly equipped for all our needs. The owner is readily available and quickly fixes anything amiss. Most of our visiting friends stay in town and come visit the Lily to enjoy the views and entertaining spaces. The adjacent neighborhood tennis court is an asset as well. We highly recommend this property.

My family stayed at this wonderful home for Christmas week. Mother nature gave us a spectacular snow fall to enjoy and what made it even better was watching it from the views from this home. Marc had the house spotless and very well stocked. There were 6 of us and we had plenty of room. The kitchen is a cook's paradise and once again the views were amazing. Crested Butte is a favorite of ours to visit. Staying in this home made our stay better than ever.

Excellent home in a beautiful location. The views were fantastic-waking up in the master suite was amazing. Every morning the mountains were incredible. We had our family vacationing with us, including an 11 month old who loved the long hallway. There was loads of room for everyone. We enjoyed the great kitchen with everything imaginable- therefore we cooked in quite a bit. The bike path and bus route were pluses for our ever moving group. Thank you Marc for greeting us at the door, providing a well maintained and clean home and helping to make this a most memorable vacation. We loved having the fox visit us every night what a treat when he brought his girlfriend!

Our family stayed in "The Lily" during our daughter's wedding. This is a beautiful home, with unbelivable views from every window. The patio with a large grill is great for entertaining, the kitchen has pretty much every utensil one might need and the family/4th bedroom is great for kids. The 9 of us fit comfortably in the house, though we did have to do some planning about bathroom use. We recommend "The Lily" and will try to stay there in future visits as well.

We rented this house for graduation week at WSC. Frankly, this is not a house but a home. Yes, the views are fantastic, the kitchen extremely well equipped, the beds very comfortable, two family rooms allowing multiple activities but even better there is a feeling of welcome and relaxation as soon as you enter the house. Having rented houses for family events before, I can honestly say this exceeded all our expectations. Marc's attentiveness and kindness were icing on the cake!

After many trips to the Crested Butte area, this home has been the highlight of my ski adventures. From the glorious sun filled family area to the well equipped kitchen, this location just topped off a fantastic ski trip. The 360 degree views from the oversized windows gave me the feeling of being part of the tremendous location. Looking south, down the valley, one can view the mountains to the East and the West in close proximitry; however, to the South is the most incredible array of snow covered ranges I had ever seen.

What can I say? My family stayed here in early March 2010 and the house is fantastic. Updated, every convenience (including stuff you normally don't expect in a rental), great location, large enough for our whole family to gather comfortably (and to spread out when that worked better too!). Best of all, Marc made the whole experience very easy for us, and when our flight was cancelled and we were held over and extra day, he was very accommodating and made us feel at home. My best rental experience yet--we will definitely be returning.

We did weeks of searching for the perfect vacation home for our group, and were fortunate enough to have settled upon this home for our New Year's Eve trip to CB. Our entire group was absolutely thrilled with this home. It was incredibly spacious, immaculate, beautifully furnished, completely stocked (more so than any other rental we have used), has a huge, open gourmet kitchen (my favorite part), and best of all had unbelievable views from the huge windows all around the home of the Mt. Crested Butte, Crested Butte, and a vast area of open space bordering the back side of the home. We sat in the entry room and watched fireworks on Mt. Crested Butte at night, then woke up to unbelieveable views of Crested Butte and the open space with untouched snow from the master bedroom and living areas. We snowshoed right out the backdoor and enjoyed gorgeous views of Crested Butte and down the valley. It was truly gorgeous! Marc was also extremely helpful and friendly before and throughout our stay, and filled us in on all of the local favorites to catch while in town. We are already planning our trip back to this home, as it is even better than pictures could do justice. We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful, comfortable, picturesque home to ring in the new year!
