We had no idea what to expect when renting a home in the Caribbean. When we arrived we had Cheryl, the drive pick us up promptly, Angela was waiting for us also... As soon as we arrived, we got a tour, some bits of information and Angela graciuosly wisked us off to the local grocery store to get some food! Throughout the week Angela provided us with use of her car and was always looking out for our safety. The house was clean, and equipped with everything we needed for a family of 5! The pool was fun and the kids had a blast! Thank you Angela for welcoming us to your home. We hope to return VERY soon! Natalie, Joel and the girls

When we arrived at 90 Sanford Lane, the place was spotlessly clean and our party of four older women was greeted personally by Angela. She helped to make sure that we had everything we needed for our convenience and to ensure our comfort and safety. The location is great – about a 15 minute walk from the beach and the bus stop and just a couple of miles to downtown Nassau. The size is perfect for a group of mature friends or for families (there’s even a crib and high chair), but I would not recommend it for a group of party people because, although the setting is private, the neighboring houses are close and the landlord lives on the far end of the house. Everything that could be said about 90 Sanford has been said. It is a beautiful home – not a house – a home. The pictures on the website are exactly what you should expect. Don’t sweat the little things – they are in the cupboards in the kitchen – salt, other seasonings, sugar, coffee filters, even a coffee grinder. The bigger things are in closets – beach towels, plush bath towels, facecloths, soaps and shampoos, and a hair dryer. Our group of early risers often caught Angela out by the pool – no, there is not a cabana boy. Angela, herself, would be sweeping up the previous night’s windfall, skimming the surface of the water, and scrubbing the sides with a brush. The pool was always very clean for our enjoyment. Angela was very friendly and we talked a lot. I grew to enjoy her company and found myself searching her out as the week progressed. My first impression of Angela as a smart property owner who was customer focused changed over the week as she evolved to become my friend. Thanks for a wonderful vacation.
Owner response:Lori and her group were delightful, seasoned travellers with whom I felt a special "connection". By the way, I'm not always the "pool cleaner". When Lori's group arrived, my automatic "Barricuda" pool cleaning machine was out of service, so until the new one arrives, I will continue cleaning every day to ensure pool is spotlessly clean for my guests. Even when my "Barricuda" is working, I still employ a pool professional to check the quality of the water periodically. My home seems to attract the nicest people on the planet! Hurry back, Lori!

This was our second visit to Angela's beautiful, peaceful home. We were there last summer and wanted to experience it in the "winter." So many people go to the Bahamas year round and stay closed up inside with air conditioners running, but we threw open all the windows and the cool ocean breeze was fabulous, day and night. Friends have asked me which time of year I would recommend for a visit to the Bahamas and that depends. For us, the summer was better for outdoor recreation because the ocean waters were perfect. This winter, we really enjoyed the cooler weather but found the ocean too nippy for sustained swims. So my advice? Go both times of the year if you can! Others asked me if I thought I would prefer trying out different rentals instead of returning to the same one, but my response? Angela's home is beginning to feel like our home away from home and we absolutely love it there. Thanks again, Angela!
Owner response:Sue is now like family. Her warmth, positive attitude, ... as well as her love for nature, energy efficiency and sustainable living ... are indeed refreshing! Hurry back, Sue and Gary!

My family and I rented Angela's beautiful home for a week (Feb 9 to Feb 16) and had such a lovely time. Her home is beautiful and Angela is so warm and welcoming...she also makes the best Seafood Piella that I have ever tasted. There was so much room in her house that we never felt that we were on top of each other. My 6 year old nephew loved the pool so much that it was hard to convince him to go out for the day and experience Nassau. The location is ideal as it was only 10 minute drive (when there isn't road construction) to the main downtown area and only a 15 minute walk to the beach. Upon arrival Angela was there to greet us, give us a tour of her home and then helped us to the grocery stores. Angela even allowed us to borrow her second car so we could more easily see the sights. Angela has every comfort of home and then some available for us to use. She has also created this amazing binder of experiences from other visitors which provides amazing reference of things to do that others before have done. We got some great ideas which we greatly enjoyed...like the zoo and the pirate museum. I would 100% recommend this amazing home to anyone for rent. Angela is so warm and welcoming it isn't like you are renting - but you are a friend visiting. Thanks so much Angela we will be back.
Owner response:Tina and her family were delightful. I fell in love with 6-year old, Tymon. What a smart young man ... and quite a gentleman! I am glad Tina's family were able to take advantage of my Guest Book, the highlight of which is the "Guest Suggestions" section, which includes recommendations from past visitors on things to do (and places to avoid). I am always delighted by the frank, detailed and succinct information that guests gladly leave behind for the next group! By the way, I am not in the car rental business; the car Tina's group used is an OLD maintenance car which I keep around for transporting large garden supplies and equipment. It's not a modern car but only fit for quick trips to beach and food store; those who want to use it are free to do so. But, I don't want to give wrong impression that a modern car comes with the house Tina, Paul, Stacey and Carol, please bring Tymon back soon! He sure enjoyed the pool. Amazing young man!

We just got back to Canada after our 2 week vacation to Bahamas. This rental was a great choice. The location was great, the house was just as described and just as the pictures show. We ate most meals at the house, the kitchen was stocked with everthing needed, sugar, spices, pots, pans, baking dishes, etc. etc. There were also many bathroom products available, soaps, salts, shampoos, hair dryers. The yard and pool were great for all of us (the pool was too cold for me, but that is nothing new). Angela was a great resource. She was happy to answer any questions, both before we arrived and during our stay. Angela let us use an extra car she had while we were there. THIS WAS AMAZING. We got to see the whole island! We got to explore every beach. Because we had the car we got to drove ourselves somewhere new each day. We did use the bus though and it was an easy way to get around also. We also walked to Saunders Beach (easy 15 minute walk). So if driving is not your thing that is not a problem. There were 6 of us staying at the house, 4 adults and 2 young children. We had plenty of space, everything is provided for young ones, hightchair, stroller, crib. I cannot express how much we enjoyed all the thought Angela has put into this rental, provinding everything needed for a stress free stay. Pick up and drop off at the airport was provided by Angela, and she herself took us out when we arrived to buy some groceries and pick up some Bahamian fast food for supper. THANK YOU ANGELA, we will contact you again when we are ready for another Bahama vacation to one of the Family Islands. You will be our first resource for information and contacts.
Owner response:It was great having a full family with two beautiful, mannerly children at the house. I'm glad the kids were able to take advantage of the kid amenities that I have at the house. The reason I stock the kitchen and bathrooms with basic amenities is because I would hate for my guests to waste their money to buy a whole container of things like spices, sugar, flour, vegetable oil, soaps, mustard, first-aid supplies, etc., etc., when they only need a small amount during their trip. I certainly enjoyed Alicia, Ken and family and do hope they will return!

My family of four just returned from a week's stay at this incredible property. This house is all that is advertised, and more. Angela greeted us with open arms and was incredibly accommodating from the moment we arrived. She took us to the grocery store, showed us around, and gave my husband a driving lesson on roundabouts and driving on the left, so we could get oriented. She supplied us with fresh bananas, coconuts, and guineps to enhance our island stay. Everything you could need was available at the house, which was spotless and very roomy. The outdoor area and pool was very nicely maintained and we made use of the beautiful pool and pool toys every day. The added bonus was the car that Angela let us use, free of charge, the computer with printer (so we could print our boarding passes before we left), and use of the phones with free local and U.S. calls. We were able to save a lot of money on meals by using the barbeque and full kitchen appliances. This property makes a wonderful home-base with many activities nearby, but just far enough away from the hordes of people to enjoy some private time. The grocery store, Cable Beach, zoo, and downtown Nassau, are all just a short drive from the house. Even Atlantis was easily accessible from this location. The generous selection of brochures, maps, guest book, and Angela's suggestions made activity planning a breeze. This has been, by far, the best house rental experience we have had to date, and we owe it all to Angela's charm, personality, generosity, and attention to detail. Thank you, Angela, for a wonderful vacation.

A recent 10-day vacation in the Bahamas was our first visit there and we decided to rent a house and invite our adult children to join us if they could. They were all glad to come and had a blast, both relaxing and sight seeing. I really don't think we could have found a more perfect location. Having a private swimming pool was great fun and we spent many happy hours there floating and soaking up the sun. Several beaches are within easy walking distance and downtown Nassau is just a few miles away, an interesting public bus ride for us mass transit enthusiasts. The house is comfortable, well furnished and plenty big enough for us all to have our own space and privacy. The grounds are well maintained. The neighborhood is clean and quiet. Safety was never an issue. Angela is a wonderful host who made us feel right at home. She was always just a phone call away if we needed her. This was a vacation none of us will forget. We hope to return one day, the sooner the better. I highly recommend this rental.

This home is very accommodating and convenient to Cable Beach and downtown Nassau. Lots of space with the 3 good size bedrooms. Everything was clean and reliable including the standby generator system for those brief losses of power. Each room has individual air-conditioning so as not to waste. The owner was very attentive to any needs.
Owner response:Thanks, Mike, for choosing my house. Yes, I'm glad I invested in a generator. It give me peace of mind, knowing that my guests will not be affected since generator kicks in automatically when there are power failures.

Some friends and I recently stayed at this home for a long overdue reunion. We couldn't have asked for a better stay! The house itself was wonderful with all the conveniences one could ask for - private pool area, spacious rooms, comfortable beds, air conditioning throughout and the generous use of the spare car (which we christened Nadine!). The "extras" that come with this rental - free calling to/from the United States, cable TV, a computer with internet access and a local cell phone - are phenomenal and truly make this a superb value. Our wonderful hostess, Angela, provided everything needed to have a perfect vacation with guide books, maps, advice and great conversation. Her attention to detail shows her dedication to making your stay the very best it can be! The location is perfect with downtown Nassau a short drive away (or easy to catch the bus) while also being close to all that the Cable Beach area has to offer. I have stayed at a few properties in Nassau over the years and this home truly stands out. This was the first visit for the three ladies I was travelling with, so I wanted our stay to be special. Angela and this home absolutely contributed to that. I will most definitely be staying here again!

My brother and I went to Nassau for a five day trip. It was both our first time to the Caribbean so we were both unsure of what our trip was going to be like. Luckily, we found this place and the best host we have ever met! From the moment we arrived through the end of the trip, Angela took really good care of us. She was very attentive and always available to assist us. She picked us up from the airport, took us to the supermarket, gave us a surprise upgrade, a tour of Nassau and Paradise island, drove us to our ferry terminal, and dropped us off at the airport. Oh, she even gave us liquor as soon as she found out that we forgot to pick some up at the store. Seriously, how many hosts actually do all of that? As far as the house, it is certainly a great deal for the price you pay. The house was very spacious (inside and out). There is also cable, wi-fi, computer, printer, phone, washer, dryer,.. well.. everything listed on the site, it has. The beds and couches were also very comfortable. The kitchen was also great.. we cooked so much and spent a lot of time in the house because it had everything we needed. And.. the pool! Sooooo amazing. We used it every day. Overall, it was the best vacation we ever had. House was great and our host Angela was the best. I hope everyone gets to meet her and see for themselves. Thanks again for everything Angela. Until next time... Nina

My husband and I stayed with Angela for 4 days in Sept 2010 , he as a heart condition and I was alittle nervous , but Angela took care of everything , directions to hospital if needed , a free car to use ** that never happens and I have been all over *** and the house was way more than we expected . When she says that she has everything , she means it , we found snorkles , beach floats , dishwasher ( sorry that we didnt use Angela , but you know me lol ) it was like going to my Nana's house , felt safe and loved having our own pool to use . She may live on the premises but you will not see her unless you want to see her and we loved having her visit Her place is right of the new Hwy and it only takes 10 min to paradise Island . unless you get stuck in 3 hrs traffice lol

My family and I had a nice first impression of Angela's home and grounds. The landscaping was incredible and alluring. The pool was clean, and inviting. Her home had all of the amenities needed to experience a fantastic get away. It was clean and comfortable. She also had a car available for anyone brave enough to drive. The pre-arranged transportation from the Airport to her home and back was definitely a plus. Our family made a great new friend in Ms. Cleare and we would definitely recommend her accommodations to anyone looking for a nice get away. She was a gracious host and we would definitely use her home should we visit Nassau again.

Is her name really Angela and not Angel? After having stayed at her house and receiving a lot of help towards having a great time in New Providence Island I will forever call her Angel. Me and my family spent five days in her house in April. The house is well-equipped, very spacious, clean and has a high standard. We were very comfortable and didn't get in each other's way. Wish we could have stayed longer. We really want to recommend this accomodation.

Our family (2 adults and three children) went on a vacation to the Bahamas in July 2008. We learned how to scuba dive among coral walls, reefs and wrecks. We enjoyed the gin clear waters and the finest sand beaches. At the local festival i Nassau we experienced the Junkanoo Parade. What made the greatest impression though were Angelas place in Nassau and her completely matchless hospitality. We cannot thank her enough.

I arrived at the end of May for a 4 week visit to Nassau. It was a project to find a place to stay. When I arrived, I could not believe my eyes. The exterior of the home is absolutely lush with native foliage and beautiful fruit trees. The home sits high on a hill with some of the most beautiful views I’ve ever seen. The pool/deck area is pristine and private. The deck can accommodate many people with plenty of tables and chairs and an outdoor grill. The home itself is breathtaking. The rooms are large, the white tile floor shines and the linens are of the finest quality. This is better than any hotel I’ve ever stay in, down to the cedar closets. Everything was thought of. The home is equipped with all the modern appliances and conveniences. The convenience of having a computer, printer, internet, local phone service and free U.S. calls were invaluable to me.The location of the home is just minutes to downtown and Cable Beach. The best of both worlds! I would recommend this home to anyone and give it five stars. The owner goes out of her way to make her guest feel special, and it shows. You won’t want to leave, I didn’t.Ellen M. Jolley

Absolutely wonderful experience. The homeowner made the stay terrific. More than accommodating, she has a wonderful knowledge of the island and especially of the tourism, she worked with the tourism dept. in Nassau for over 30 years. You won't find a better rental property this close to Cable Beach. The ocean is a mere 5 minute drive and you can even see the cruise ships dock off in the distance. Perfect for families, not so much if your idea of a night in is 2 kegs and loud music. We loved it and would return in a heartbeat. Wireless internet and private pool make the stay that much better. Rent this property if you want a positive experience in Nassau. Great way to enjoy the island without the resort prices.
