Custom built in 2007, this log home is near Murphy and with all new tasteful furnishings. Surrounded by the Snowbird Mountains, nearby Lake Hiwassee and adjoining the Nantahala National Forest, you will be amid the beauty and peacefulness of nature in abundance. The roads are easily accessible and fun to drive.
Our home has everything you'll need for your vacation. Your comfort and enjoyment is what we've prepared for. Be sure to pick up your groceries before you come 'cause you will not want to leave once you are here. Bright and cheery with the outdoors coming through lots of windows.
Enjoy the quiet, natural setting of woods and view of the pond from the 35' porch with CharBroil gas grill and porch furniture. The basement level porch has a log swing facing the community pond. A short walk down our tree covered lane reveals the mountains and Beaverdam Creek with rushing water bordering the national forest. If you are a fly fisherman, take the challenge and try your luck. Both the pond and our section of Beaverdam Creek has been stocked with several hundred rainbow trout. You are sure to catch fish!
The master bedroom suite includes full tile bath so treat yourself to a relaxing soak in the jetted garden tub (worth the trip alone!) or separate walk-in shower. Upstairs is an additional private suite with large bedroom and full bath. All rooms and the porch have ceiling fans. The newly finished basement has an additional bedroom with single over double bunk bed for kids, large great room and utility with new washer and dryer. There are 2 flat screen TVs, video and book libraries, stereo player, cards and board games for your recreation. If it's chilly, firewood is but a few steps away on the front porch for the wood burning fireplace (and starter logs are included).
For outings, there is nearby Lake Hiwassee, with 180 miles of shoreline, this 6,090 acre lake offers spectacular scenery and tranquility. Marinas are nearby for boating (rentals available) or fishing. Picnic areas and hiking trails are easily accessible for outdoor activities.
You'll have the most peaceful sleep under beautiful starlit skies and the crisp mountain air. Grab your book, coffee, tea or glass of wine and relax. Or pick up your digital camera and focus on some of the most beautiful natural settings you will ever see. Sky so blue, you won't believe it. You'll never want to leave.
