We had a WONDERFUL time at the Islander 603!! The view was breathtaking...we loved being able to see the ocean from practically anywhere in the condo. The condo is beautifully decorated as well. It's a short walk to the pool or beach and the beach chair service was wonderful. So nice to not have to tote anything out there! It's also conveniently located about 5 mins from the grocery store, restaurants, and maybe 10 mins from the outlet mall. The Pancakery around the corner is wonderful for breakfast. We had a wonderful time on our first family vacation and will definitely be back to the Islander 603!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway.

My wife and I and two other couples recently spent a week at the Islander. We were fortunate enough to get unit 603. We have stayed at the Islander before, but never in an "ocean view" unit. We were impressed with the results of the remodeling project at the Islander, including parking lot with security gate. Not only did we have a fantastic view, unit 603 is "fully loaded" with amenities and tastefully decorated. Add in a friendly staff and great local restaurants (we ate out every other evening) and we couldn't have had a better vacation. We recently stayed at another popular FL beach area (business trip for my wife) and missed the white, sandy beaches of Destin. They are the best we have found anywhere. This was the 4th year in a row vacationing at The Islander resort in Destin, FL. Unit 603 works perfectly for our family of 5 and offers all of the comforts of home and a spectacular view of the ocean. On numerous occasions during our stay, we could actually see dolphins swimming in the ocean from our balcony! Our family also enjoyed using both outdoor pools, whirlpools, the grilling/gazebo area, tennis courts, laundry facilities, and shuffleboard court during our stay. Awesome family vacation. The condo was perfect. Clean, modern but still very warm. Great view. Easy walk to beach. The most impressive part of my vacation was the service. Our coffe maker was not working in unit. I called the front desk and within 15 min there was a brand new one in my room. I haven't got that service at a 5 star hotel! Very impressed!Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

This was hands down our best vacation The condo was everything and more than I expected. We are already planning on coming back next year and staying in Unit 603 for sure!Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, families with teenagers, age 55+, girls getaway.

The Islander Condo 603 was an incredible getaway for a week. The furnishings were great. It made me jealous of my place back home. I could have easily moved in, especially with the view of the sunset at night. It is definitely worth your time to stay in 603. I am single, but it would really be great for a family with a couple of kids. It is a good clean town, with good people around. A nice getaway for anyone.Did you find this review helpful? Condo unit is lovely with wonderful entertainment unit with flat screen tv as well as flat screens in each bedroom. The pool is nicely heated for cool days and nights. The beach area is narrower than expected in front of the condo-the sand is soft and clean. The beach set-up with the unit was perfect for our family of 4. The kids enjoyed the beach and pool. If we go to the islander again we would stay in this same unit and recommend to anyone.Recommended for: Families with young children, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, age 55+, girls getaway.
